Beautiful video, lovely views, makes me want to learn to fly but I tried a couple of decades ago but didn't truly like the sensation. Far more enjoyable watching videos like yours :) Thank you!
Thanks! I'm glad you like the video. I had issues with nausea when I started my flight training but that went away the more I got busy and concentrated on operating the airplane. I think a lot of the sensations that feel unpleasant at first are something you start enjoying once you are used to it. Maybe give it another try?
Density altitude is no joke. I respect your cautious approach to the takeoff procedure. As the old adage goes, two things that don’t do pilots any good are fuel on the ground and runway behind them. I would fly with you any day.
When my father passed away in 2004, I had the opportunity to learn to fly. I had a few lessons, felt sick as a dog, and spent the rest of the loan on a motorcycle (my other passion). To this day I have always regretted not following through with the training. At least I can live vicariously through content like yours. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for sharing that story and I’m glad you like my videos! I had trouble with motion sickness when I started flying but it got much better after a few lessons. To this day though I can’t do too many maneuvers close to the ground together with things like steep turns or stalls. That makes checkrides challenging but luckily in normal flying you don’t normally do these things together for an extended period of time.
@@skybound.adventures I was about to put a down payment on an airplane....the owner took me up in her...I got motion sickness...afterwards I was terrified I was wasting my time...I was in ground school and had already secured the loan to purchase a plane....but that never happened again and I purchased an aircraft...I attributed the motion sickness to being a passenger and not watching the horizon etc...if I read a book in a car I get sick if I don't look out the window. By the way Dramamine and such made me viciously tired, and I don't recommend it for pilots!

Thanks. This was also pretty shortly after I got my PPL, so better to be safe than sorry, especially with the lack of experience.

Northern CA is Beautiful
It truly is! I need to explore more around the Auburn area!
KAUN looks like a wonderful place to go for lunch!
It is one of my favorite places but I have plenty more little gems that I would like to show everyone in the future!
