I'm so happy to finally see you make it to my beautiful home state. And flying into/over several places I'm very familiar with from my (ground-based) childhood there made it even better. Never take it for granted. You're living my dream. One day hopefully soon here, I'll be able to do it too.
Excellent video Matt! Really enjoyed your visit to Seeley Lake. Many great memories with the wonderful people there!! Thank you for sharing this flying adventure with your viewers.
This video is epic. You are living the dream, Matt. I'm sure that you have worked, saved, and dreamt and now everything has come to fruition. Such a beautiful place to live and play.....
This was awesome as my parents (and I during high school) lived just about a half mile directly north of the airstrip. Drove past 34 end daily on my way to school and work. My dad worked with a guy who flew a V Tail out of Seeley Lake. Awesome way to showcase a beautiful area!
I really enjoyed your video. I fly Husky, so it was interesting to hear all the discussion about runway length on public airports. Thank you for sharing.
I really enjoy your videos. I drove over the road for over twenty years across this wonderful country Canada and Mexico it it’s so awesome to see all these places I have been to and delivered boats goods and materials on land to see it by air. Excellent thank you for sharing.
I don't think you need to worry about tire wear with how smooth all your landings are. And tell Jordan Bonanzas were designed before the 60s, ours is a 1947. (I assume he knows that though)
Hi Matt - particularly wonderful video - even better than always! Btw: What solved N367HPs nasty battery problem in the end? Greetings from EDVN, Joern
Such beautiful country with amazing photography as always! For these and many other reasons do I happily support you on Patreon, Matt. What a pleasure!
Very inspirational. One question though. The practicality of flying vs driving i would say is a lot of times dependent on access to a car at destination. The airport courtesy van on small airports is something that always surprised me, considering that nothing is free anymore in this world, it is probably one of the few truly "free" services out there remaining. Are courtesy cars a given at just about any airfield with an FBO? What happens if you get there and it's already taken :D
Thoughts on uphill/downhill/headwind/tailwind takeoffs. In my opinion the key is what’s going to happen if the engine quits shortly after liftoff or even on the ground with little runway remaining. Lets say we have a 10 knot wind blowing downhill making for an uphill takeoff into the wind, 1.2% slope most heathy airplanes can do this (within reason) but if she becomes unhealthy and quits our option is a landing with a 10 knot headwind and probably uphill (slower groundspeed, shorter rolling distance) Now if we reverse this we would have a higher post engine failure touchdown/crash speed by not 10 knots, but 20 knots! compared to the first scenario. Also if the terrain is sloping away you’re more apt to be landing off field down hill….. this all assumes the engine quits very low with little or no runway remaining…. We can run the numbers on these things and the bonanzas are great but the only number you need is the lowest one you can you get when you hit the ground. Anyway keep up the good flying just food for thought.
One of these years you have to make the flight up to the Spurwink Fly-In on Sprague Farm in Cape Elizabeth, Maine and have some pancakes and sausage with all us pilots and airplane bums. 2 Sunday in July annually.
Matt I would enjoy having accountability and opportunity to work with you in your searches and adventures in the future of aviation. DM me I got you brother!.😉🤙👍❤❤❤
Would love to see a how to video. Planning, procedures for certain airports, mountain flying. Keep up the great work
I was just thinking this myself!
yes please show us all how to plan, and the logistics involved in staging a water ditching accident Matt

Such beautiful scenery with those flights.
Nice to meet different friend, very neat grass strip...Montana is so beautiful, thanks for the ride!
@7:57 that song i hear alot from a channel i watch all the time called "Matt's Offroad Recovery" based out in SW Utah.
I really enjoyed your video. I fly Husky, so it was interesting to hear all the discussion about runway length on public airports. Thank you for sharing.
what a f....ng perfect departure from Alpine, nice weather, cool video, nature, countryside, flying!!! thanx!
Matt, thanks for sharing - I grew up in Seeley Lake and have only flown there once. Awesome video! Keep them coming!!
I always appreciate your content. Thanks for doing what you do g
One of your best, Matt. Thank you.
Beautiful sights! Enjoy your flying!
Memorial day? You must have one heck of a backlog of footage. Can't wait!
Incredible. Some of your best work yet.

the burger place girl! Gorgeous!
Great flight pics! Thank you Matt and crew. You spoke of incline. Have ever landed at Catalina Airport. No way to see the end.
Love your videos bro!
Went to a wedding there (Seeley Lake) this past summer and rented a room in the Tower home for the weekend. Highly recommended.

Hello Matt from Sydney Australia.
🌏🇦🇺
Great video. Always look forward for your next one.
Very nice Matt, keep posting videos of your adventures.
Really nice filming! Of course there's a hamburger place in the plot, too!

Great content as always. If you ever have a chance, I'd like to see a video of your panel and why you have it set up the way you do.

Deer Lodge, MT. Next time you got to go to Rock Creek Cattle Company
Always fun and entertaining. I don't think I can get my Aerostar into those short grass strips. I have been into Alpine though.
That one is 4500 feet. I think you could.
@@CCitis No problem getting in or out for that matter.
@@AerostarPilot Exactly. Film it and post it! I love Aerostars. Great airplane.
Watching that g650 take off you have to think that he may burned as much fuel in that takeoff as you spent all day just having fun. Lol
Oh, Matt can you do regular 50h service etc at the Alpin homestead?
Epic scenery.
I live in San Diego and your videos have inspired me to head over to Gillespie Field and see about flight training for a PPL. Any recommendations?
I had a little training at golden state and they are a cool bunch of guys. They offer a discovery flight you should try.
You could also Joint Plus One Flyers!

13:21 how’d you get that shot from above looking down?
Really enjoyed this video
Hey Matt, can you do a video about your panel? What's in it? Keep up the great work!😃
Hi Matt...great vlog as usual...amazing views from your trip...
👍🇬🇧 Jonathan
If you ever get around to LBE let’s make a video together. Make a trip to BIRK for a weekend. Fuel is on me
1:54...is that SUV the maintenance vehicle.
What plane do u have?
I felt like I was there with you :) Thank you
Matt, what brand and model are your sunglasses?
What's the weather app you're using? Your passenger said it replaces all his Wunderground tabs, so it must be a pretty good system.
Why do your recent videos, like this one, not show up on your channel?
I'm 75 yo watching your video. Seely lake beautiful.
Your a young man.
Gorgeous Gulfstream there, only a few years old ...
Time to seriously look at the bottom of your plane. Almost looks like an oil leak but needs to be cleaned anyway. Great vid.
GF is goooone
Deer Lodge the very old original state prison and the new one too.
May I ask what you do for a living?
Wait? Was that Nickelback? 😳
Did you change editor? Something has slipped. Your production values used to be higher
😂
@@mattguthmiller glad you got the joke :)
nice Gulfstream :)
Wow you must be in the Wyoming banana belt, so green for December or January (NOT).
What weather app was it ? Windy ?
looked like foreflight
Bonanza isn't a fast climber. It could benefit from a new generation of plane.
Been a big forever Matt, maybe I will into you at a airport someday
I thought you had a V tail.
Stevie does....
Man Matt…your Bonanza seems underpowered even at summer density altitudes!?
We did this summer right.
Coral Gables 🌴🇺🇸 Bogles my mind! EVERYONE has a different utopia.Hehe. Carry on 👍🏄
Little dirty belly there, Matt?
Montana...safe, beautiful, conservatively governed. Lets not ruin it.
Matt, did I hear you say Memorial Day?? Are you that far behind posting your videos?
Not much flying in the winter at Alpine.
Is it just me, or are others tired of hearing "hotel papa." ? change aircraft registration.
Bonanzas suck
Dude get a real job!
