great video. I was fortunate enough to take the Piper factory tour back in April and got to see these coming off the line. Amazing people there still building solid aircraft after all these years
Solid aircraft? Well, with the ongoing wing spars issues they have had for years now and two new ADs (affecting more than 20,000 aircraft) released this year, I am not sure I would call Piper products “solid”. Sorry, but I can’t trust a company that builds aircraft where the wings come off mid flight, even on almost new airplanes and without being overstressed. Google for that issue and you will find plenty of newspaper articles (even recent ones) of crashes where the wings literally detached from PA28s and PA32s. Never heard of any other GA airplane where even something remotely similar happened.
That’s a good point, in the past pilots are sooooo worried about “hand flying skills” which are still important but it should be noted that for 90% of the flight we use automation.
I always look forward to your videos, Rich ! Looks like quite an airplane - it's so impressive how you seem to be able to expertly fly just about any class or type.
Rich my man, thanks again for another great ride along video. The M600 seems to be a slick platform. Owners in the comments echo that sentiment. Any plane is “mass” production these days has to be getting something right most of the time a lot right. Mucho gracious on the content sir. Fly safe.

The airplane has more than three hour range, but again, most owners aren't buying it for max range operations.
@@FlyingwithRichWell for that kind of money Id consider the Kodiak 100 or even the 900. 100 pounds of luggage is basically 20 pounds for five people. Not exactly a vacation transport. And for those just looking for a short hop aircraft there are other options with a lower operating cost. A turboprop is plain overkill for your mission needs. Basically like the guy buying a Ferrari where a cheaper Corvette would do.
Ahh ok I see now. Thanks for watching!
Is a type rating required for M 600
No type rating required.
I think you got a door open bud.
How tall are you? I heard the headroom is a challenge.
5’11”. Owner is 6’1”. I have had 6’4” clients own PA46 and not complain about. I think build has something to do with as well. Hardest part is getting in the cockpit even if you are not that tall. Once you are seated, it’s comfortable.
What is manual ignition
@@rumblethis2023 it’s on until you turn it off. No automatic activation.
Is it comfortable to fly? I am 6 foot tall. I don’t know if I could fit
You could fit - hardest part is getting in but once you are in it’s comfortable.
Another TBM IMHO
My Pa 28-235 had 1,400lbs of useful load...and at 143 kts of cruise speed. better than the 600 ratio rate. 1,200 legs.
Interesting stats - tells you why people buy airplanes!

What does the owner do for a living to afford that thing. Not being a AeroSpace engineer that's for sure.
I fly this in xplane is so fast lol
