  • This is a TK made of mass casualty incidents. Meant to be cost effective and easy to carry, the STAT TK can be applied with minimal training to Adults, Children, and Dogs because of it's high adjust-ability and intuitive design ....check out my website: www.freefieldt...

    This is not included in te Co-TCCC guideline, so is not aproved. I woudn't recomend using a not aproved TQ, cause it can fail.
    Apart form that, the stap is too thin, and it can cause tissue damage and some other complications related to the aplication. I'm not sure if it's possible pull hard enough to oclude aan artery and loss the extremity pulse.

  • @bacon25strips
    @bacon25strips 6 лет назад +20

    I’m skeptical as to the effectiveness compared to proven windlass designs. I’m not confident I’d be able to pull this with enough force to occlude a femoral artery...interesting concept though.

    • @freefieldtraining
      @freefieldtraining  6 лет назад +2

      +Chris Kuehl I tried it at the show on my arm and was surprised at how easy it was to use. I didn't try my leg, but I will when I get my hands on one. They shave videos up on their Channel showing them using it on a leg and it stopping blood flow, if I wasn't on my phone I would post a link.

    • @bacon25strips
      @bacon25strips 6 лет назад +1

      free field training Yeah I actually just found that video, I’m impressed by this thing. I still think it would be a little naive to say that the CAT isn’t more reliable for occluding blood flow when applied under stress, but this certainly beats the CAT for ease of application!

    • @freefieldtraining
      @freefieldtraining  6 лет назад +1

      +Chris Kuehl that isn't what they are marketing it towards though. Their target market right now is the one currently filled with the rats and Swat-t. Cheap TK's that can be carried more easily and stocked in mass quantities for major incidents. I'm sure they wouldn't argue if it turns out to replace windless TK's in the future (money is green after all), but that doesn't seem to be their goal as of now.

    I bought one of these based on the video and they do really work. It does take a few tries to learn how to properly apply, but once I did the application is super fast. I went to my local fire station and had them put a pulse-ox on me while I applied the TQ and it worked.

      free field training I'm truelly astonished in the amount of ingenuity put into this. People need to be informed of its uses/indicator to be safe.Requires: Large scale use by law enforcement agencies + public service announcement telling people about its use in case of mass casualty events. This is a life saving piece of equipment every unit in every department should consider.
