    I can not express how much I love this Langmuir Crossfire Pro Plasma CNC. It would be adequate for business production or an at-home hobbyist. Coupled with the HTP MicroCut 875SC v2 you will be able to create the most amazing products and projects.
    I am absolutely blown away by the fact that I can now cut up to 1/2 in steel in my basement and use it for 100's of projects. I'm not the most creative person compared to others I've seen on Instagram making entire businesses around this tool. I have plenty that I want to make, but surfing through the hashtag #langmuircrossfirepro I am amazed at the way people have put this tool to use. When the best tool you own is a Plasma CNC, every solution to every problem is a Plasma CNC.
    This is my second Plasma CNC. The first... The Langmuir Crossfire. It really was more than I could ever need in my current shop, but I have a tool problem. Really it's an everything problem. If they create a better version, I want that version. iPhone, computer, TV, Car it doesn't matter. I want the better version. That does not mean I get the better version. This time I did.
    Here is why. I wanted THC. Torch Height Control. I never really had issues that this would have been a huge factor, but I always anticipated that project where it would make a difference. I tend to babysit the job as it is running. If something pops up, I move it before it's an issue. Second, I wanted a bigger workspace. In reality, if I had a 60x40 shop with overhead crane, this might be too small, but like most people, that's not the case. I had to move copious amounts of everything out of my current space to make this 4x3 a possibility. I am so glad I did. I'm now into my 5th project although I have only filmed 2. This one is the first.
    If you weld, this is an amazing compliment to that skill. You will have a never-ending stream of projects or products that you can create with this tool. The best part is the price. It's the best priced Plasma CNC on the market.

    • @ManCrafting

      It cuts much closer to the Hypertherm plasma cutter. The torch is the same design as the hypertherm and the consumables are about half the cost. I had the RW 45 with the OG table and it was ok, this just cuts way better. I had a friend using it before me so I saw the quality and he used his way heavier than I was.

    Hi. I am a welder but I do not have a programming background when it come to CNC machines. Is this software hard to understand or difficult to create cut files? Thanks

    • @ManCrafting
      @ManCrafting  4 года назад +1

      I’m with you. When it comes to designing, it’s all 2 dimensional. So you can design things in half a dozen programs including InkScape. Which is free. Then you need to run that file through what’s called a CAM program. It generates the code that the machine uses to cut. That’s a little bit of a learning curve, but I use Sheetcam which makes it a little easier to do. Last is the Langmuir Pro software. Once you load the code it’s dead easy. The older software Mach III want as nice of an interface and I didn’t care for it. Also, there are 1,000’s of free files online and even on the Fireshare page on the Langmuir site. So unless you’re fabricating ideas in your head you could go a long time without needing to design anything. Shoot, there are even guys in the forums that will generate the g-code for you or draw a file if you get stuck. That side of it is my weakest strength, but I’m cutting more than I have time to cut. Sorry for the long response. I think I’ve had too much coffee. 🤣

    I'm in the market for a cnc table now and wondering if, after a year +, if you have realized many limitations with this system or, if it has created enough revenue at this point to possibly regret not investing in a bit heavier duty or larger machine?
    I already have a Hypertherm 45 XP to add to a machine.
    There is so much variety and competition in the plasma cnc market that I find it very difficult to feel confident in choosing a vendor. I've read so many software horror stories and have no cnc experience to draw from but I certainly want every design possibility open to me after making the investment. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Cheers

      For me, anything bigger in my current shop is untenable. If these smaller machines hadn’t come out, I’d still be without one. My original reason to buy it was to do on demand cutting for a product I was outsourcing. So not having to spend $700 on a sheet worth was great for me. It’s probably way more than that now. I’ve done 5x4 foot signs on 3 occasions and tons of other sign projects. It’s payed for itself over and over. I used it this week to cut half a dozen parts for my on demand stand. You can look at my TikTok or some of my shorts here. I post something every week.

      It does seem like this machine offers a lot for dollars spent compared to many others.
      A couple more questions if you wouldn't mind, if you needed to cut out a sign, say 6' x 3.5', can you stop mid job and slide the sheet up to continue cutting letters after the travel has maxed out without any alignment issues and does the cost of the machine include full licensing of the software and free software upgrades?
      Thanks, Roger.

Several people have alignment setup tools that you can cut and add to the table. The FireControl software is included. You will still need design/CAD program. I use something like Inkscape and Sheetcam. That’s separate but I think it’s available on the Langmuir site.

    This is a FAKE video guys. The only purpose of the fabrication you are watching is to show very expensive equipment in use. This is a commercial. This guy has about $10.000 sitting around his shop to make shitty welds on shelve brackets you can buy on Amazon for $5 a piece,. Give me a brake!

    • @ManCrafting
      @ManCrafting  3 года назад +2

      I didn’t have these tools make $5 shelf brackets. I have it to make whatever I want whenever I want. I’ve wanted a plasma CNC since first seeing one in 2015 at a friends welding shop. At the time the cheapest one on the market was about $20,000 and was going to take up a space in my shop that was more room than I had. When Langmuir came out with the first version I jumped at the chance to buy it. Then they came out with the Pro. It was a huge upgrade and I didn’t hesitate to buy it. I live this machine and I know a lot of people who have it as well and are not only making things for themselves, they have created entire businesses around it. I just had a guy come to my house who is considering buying one for his business which is making accessories for slotted shelving systems. He brought two of his designs and we cut them out. Normally to have a tangible prototype he’d have to send it to the company that does his production runs on a laser. Now he’ll be able to do that on demand with no wait. As for my shitty welds, I’ve done worse. I have no training other than the few RUclips videos I’ve watched. Currently I’m in school full time to rectify that. Monday will be the beginning of my 4th week at Georgia Trade School. Personally I feel like I’m doing a lot of good and am a pretty positive person. I don’t have the inclination or time to go onto peoples videos and leave unhelpful comments. I hope that at some point you can be as fortunate.
