How does diabetes (T2, btw) affect me? my entire day revolves around my meals. Set times, set carbs, same thing day in and day out. Even my Nurse Manager at work knows not to mess with when i got to lunch every day at work and does her best to accommodate me or even let me eat WHILE working, if i can't easily take a break. (You know healthcare. We can't always guarantee lunch breaks.) i even pack my lunch every single day, because i can't risk not being able to get my lunch. i can't even sleep late on my days off, because my breakfast MUST be eaten on time. Doing all of this has given me great control over my blood glucose levels and my A1C, but i get tired of it. So tired of it.

slaveteri That”s GOT be frustrating and sometimes overwhelming, I’m sure. But it sounds like you’re investing a lot of effort and dedication into staying in control on it. And I have no doubt that it’ll pay off. Great work!

haha nice demo/acting. Nice of the kids to participate. Is the years of being Type II diabetic proportionate to the number of medications to take/inject?

Length of time with diabetes can definitely influence how much medication might be necessary, but it's also largely influenced by how aggressively a person with diabetes approaches a good diet, exercise, and lifestyle changes.

My sugar levels rise after meals and normalise two hours after food. Is this in order. My HB1C has always been below 5.8.

I have a question for you. If in type2 diabetes the beta cells eventually die off. Due to cell insulin resistance, when you start to inject insulin, how does it work If you where resistant to it in the first place?
