Sublimating on Pink, Gold, Silver Glitter Sub Tumblers, Pride Month

- Recently when I used a pink glitter sublimation tumbler by covering it with resin and more glitter, I received a few remarks basically asking why I would do that, and other comments expressing interest in seeing actual sublimation onto the glitter tumblers without any resin involved. So this is the resulting video! I used pink glitter, silver glitter, and gold glitter sublimation tumblers from The Stainless Depot and sublimated various graphics (yes, it's still Pride Month) onto them with my tumbler press, so everyone could see how that looks. I must say the results are very interesting! And sparkly!! The resin gods laughed and laughed.

That Pride cup... OMG! I'd kinda like to see that same graphic on a white or silver glitter cup just for comparison's sake, but it's pretty amazing as is. Need that graphic though.

I follow a lot of other YT channels on lots of different topics (like t-shirt design, for example), and all it takes is one mention in a video about a Pride-related design or illustration and the haters just come out of the woodwork. 🤷♀️ I’ll really never understand why folks can’t just scroll on by if something bothers them, lol.

I love the fact you're doing so much for Pride Month. If people don't like it they can watch a different channel with things THEY enjoy and want to celebrate for a month. That's why there's so many channels to choose from 🤷♀️

Thank you for doing that, I was on the fence about getting a sublimation set up, as I do enjoy the hands on making of my tumblers, with the painting, glitter etc., but this might be worth investing in for building up inventory.
Ps. Totally agree with you on the Pride comments, we shouldn't need a month, everyone should be loved for who they are, all the time❤️
Thank you so much!!! 🥰🥰🥰 I will freely admit that for quite awhile I was on the fence about sublimation, mainly because I got into “resin tumblers” to make *resin tumblers*. But I do think sublimation at least offers more ways to get graphics onto a tumbler, and in some cases it can really speed things up and save a lot of time.

Thank you!!! A tumbler press is a pretty major commitment, but opens up a whole extra opportunity for creating tumblers. There’s always the option to test out sublimation using a relatively inexpensive countertop oven and preprinted sublimation graphics, if you want to be sure first. Have fun!! 😊😊
I sublimate my 20oz tumblers in my mug press. I tried the typical press, but never quite got it right. Now my mugs and my tumblers come out great!!
Of course you are limited because I can't do a 30oz in it but I plan to use my turners for them anyway.

Is the pressing time for the glitter tumblers same as the plain white tumblers?
In my limited experience, yes. I press both at 356-degrees F for 60 seconds then rotate 180 degrees and press again for another 60 seconds. However, testing different temps and times to see what works best for you is always recommended.
I wasn't really a fan of sublimation because of the ghosting, seams, bleh color. It seems like it is really starting to improve. It's growing on me. I'm with you on the month thing. I don't think there should be months for any group personally. Someone is always going to be left out so to be fair to all, all of them should go away. Just my two cents on that thing. But eh, everyone has opinions right? LOL. Anyways, I'm really liking those glitter sublimation tumblers. Maybe try some glow in the dark ones? Those are pretty cool too. (I hope I didn't miss it if you already did). Now if they would come up with a black sublimation tumbler that inks would show up on ... how cool would that be? I'm sure is probably only a matter of time. 😁

Is that a white glitter tumbler or is it holographic?
There was a plaint white sublimation tumbler (no glitter) with the f-everything wrap on it for a customer. The other cups were all glitter-sublimation: one in silver, one in gold, and one in pink. Thanks for watching!
Has anyone else noticed the glitter does not stay on very well?

Can I do this in an oven? Pride rocks
Yes, definitely - the glitter sublimation tumblers and the glow ones and other styles can all be sublimated in an oven just like a regular white blank sublimation cup. I have never done it since I have a press, but the process for sublimating in an oven should work the same for any type of tumbler as long as it’s specifically a sublimation tumbler.
