Um... Is anyone else wondering what you're going to do with the bucket of brushed off glitter besides me?! Can we get an idea tutorial on that too!? This was so helpful. I have lots of oops tumblers.
This is too cute. Wish I’d saw this video the other day when I messed up 2 tumblers
Love that glam girl glitter!
Nice tumblers, but I loved the finished one you showed last, the best 😊
Thank you
Thank you
@@glittergiftsandmore2493 were the black spots put on after epoxy and then epoxy over again ( the last one you showed) - It looks like the glitter is under the black spots. Sorry - I'm a newbie
Very helpful video, Thank you.
Thank you I needed to see your video I have a lot of cups that I didn't like the way they came out, so now I'm going to try and fix them. If I can ask you, I have sublimation tumblers that I haven't use but my question is can I use it for a regular epoxy instead of using it for sublimation? Thank you. Olga
So you can use epoxy on a sublimation tumbler as long as it's sanded just like you would prep any tumbler for epoxy?
Girl your house sounds like mine!
Do you have to sand the sublimation cup before applying the modge podge?
What do you do after the glitter to seal? Thanks
Very pretty. For dry brushing, which brush is that??
how long did you let the first layer dry.???
How and what do you use to sand it? If regular sanding paper... what grit?
I’ve been searching for this video!!! So I can sand the sub design and it won’t ruin the design? What sand paper is best for this step? Ty
Hello! Thank you for the video after several "ugh I screwed up again" sublimation tumblers. You were able to salvage some of your design, but what do I do if I need to cover up an entire tumbler? Do I scuff it, spray paint it, modge podge and then glitter? Thanks!
I don't bother with spray paint if using an opaque glitter...only iridescent, but every else you listed is how I would do it.
So I did this over a messed up sub and after a few weeks of sitting, the sublimation print is showing thru the layer of spray paint and epoxy. Smh. Maybe I should have used a few layers of black as that is the color spray paint I used. Any suggestions? I used spray paint, glitter, alcohol inks and epoxy
So you can epoxy and do whatever to sub cups ?
I am also trying to get into sublimation for tumblers. Are you using an Epson printer or Sawgrass? I can’t decide! Ugh... love your cups and your process and GIRL... 5 boys, you are incredible and I’m a big fan!
Sawgrass here. Had it just about a year. No complaints at all :-) thank you!!!
I noticed the black design on top of the glitter in the very last picture. How did you keep that from getting glitter on it or did you add the design after the glitter or between epoxy layers? Did you do more that one layer? it is super cute!
I want to know the same! Guessing it’s vinyl.
Did u sand the whole cup or just where u were glittering
can I just order sub cup even if I don't plan on subing them and just doing glitter epoxy on them?
I’m using dishwasher safe mod podge. Question should I do a top coat to finalize glitter for dish wash safe so glitter ✨ stays put?
I don't think so from what I can gather. First is a stuffed up sublimation print (cheetah print) then she's mod podging and glittering two layers over the mistake then when both have dried she is then using food-safe resin to cover the entire outside of the tumbler with the tumbler turner for even coverage. That's my understanding anyway - currently trying to do it myself. Just don't know how long between the first and second coat of glitter and mod podge.
Can you sublimate over glitter?
Did you sand only the part you glittered
Before you Epoxy do you need to do anything to the sublimated part? Sand? Seal? Thank you.
I’m curious, too.
How long do you let the 1st layer of glitter set before second layer. Then how long do you let the 2nd layer of glitter set until you add the resin? Im so new to this so I'm sorry for all the questions. What grain of sand paper do you use? and also how much times do you resin after done glittering?
Just an hour or so between layers 1 and 2. Overnight after layer 2 and epoxy. No worries on the questions 😀 i use whatever grit sandpaper i have on hand. I usually do 2 to 3 layers of epoxy before it's done.
@@glittergiftsandmore2493 thank you!!!
I see this question multiple times on here but I do not see an answer (SORRY).. do you HAVE to sand the sublimated tumbler before epoxy? And will the image get scratched?? Thanks ;)
Yes. I believe she says it at the beginning of the video. I think she said she sands it to get it a little scuffed up.
Did u sand the tumbler before applying the first coat of podge?
Lightly, yes
@@glittergiftsandmore2493 thank you! 👍🏻
Can we see the finished results?
Can you epoxy over a sublimation? Especially when you can sand it?
Sure can
I went on website but don't see anywhere how much glitter you get for the price
You select the weight from the drop down menu on the product page. They are sold on 1oz, 2oz, 4oz sizes. All are sold by weight, not volume (selling by weight gives more per oz than selling by volume in most glitter)
What grit do you sand it with?
Guestimating around 180 to 220 usually. Whatever i grab first
@@glittergiftsandmore2493 so just one sand with it and that’s all I need to do?
I have a lot of “mistake” tumblers! Do you have a video that walks through the entire process including products to use? I have never epoxyed anything. Thank you!
Try a make-up brush
