Ya know, this series definitely going beat down any shonin sport anime, if they give the series a modern animation a spin. With all the crazy motion and perspective angle the mangaka put into the series.

This anime made in the wrong era. The animation that it's got very not related to what the mangaka wanted. It would be cool if their remade the anime today with the animation that it's needed as sport anime like Haikyuu or Blue Lock. Because what the animation that the mangaka wanted is represented in One Punch Man anime.
So, i see it taken 79 episode to reveal himself. Never got to watch this show as a kid, but tried it once as an adult cause of my love for sports anime. May be my lack of patience for things that happen in anime especially having a secret identity for a sport which I found dumb can cause a flood of sidetracking cause someone would want to expose it. I stopped around around 50ish and i don't think i can attempt this show again.
Still think the same for this anime. And y'all want a reboot?! 12 Episodes a season? waiting year or more for the next one? and still be doing a training arc. not once but twice? You don't want a reboot of this show, you want a continuation instead.

I dunno man, Hajime No Ippo and Ace of Diamonds gives this a run for its money. Its not a bad show, but those two are #1 and 2 in the sports genre imo
