Great tactic :D The hammer spinning attack is one of the funniest moves in the game. I will try to convince my friend to use it for this arena quest. It is so painful to do because Arzur Rathalos is permanently flying and he's stunning me with every second attack. Sadly I had only time to solo it, so the times are not really great.

God damn that was phenominal to watch. Ive rage quit over this damn quest so many times. Is the hammer your #1 weapon choice on hunts? you seemed quite adept with it. I love the long sword hence my determination to get the divine slasher but that's never going to happen if I cant get past arena 7. Every time I go to the gathering hub theres nobody there to team with...
Yeah the hammer is my main weapon but it does have short range. The trick is holding down the charge button and releasing it as you're going down the hill. It does good damage Plus you're able to mount the monster also. It's recommended if you find a co-op only because it will give you more coins
Thanks for the advice, I joined an 'Arena' session and literally went from arena quest 1 to AQ9 with the same player. I obviously had to master a couple of the weapons prior to this and went with hammer, long sword, and great sword but am proud to say that I now own the Divine Slasher. Never thought it would happen but co-op is definitely the way to go for arena quests.
I am also long sword user from day one and never have tried the other weapons so I suck at arena hammer is the only time I beat him and took 24 mins lol. Waisted multiple 30 mins of my life to fail this stupid bs arena. I beat the double Diablo and Barroth took about 8 deaths lol, but this is the hardest I would say he just poison stun fire blast one shot kill.
The most bull quest in any game ever!!!. I've fought arch tempered missions which were easier than this. Never lands, dies or takes any damage by the seems of it. Fuck this and I guess I won't be using the divine slasher
the coin is only 800z What benefits you will get if you leave it in your inventory? the cost is low for 800z, do you have annother strategie to beat Azure Rathalos in solo?
Advice for solo of ur skilled with the hammer I suggest using the back hill and runable trees to try and do as much ko damage to knock him outta the sky if he starts to pressure you to much us a flash pod to stop his Airel attacks this will force him grounded and and gives you a small window to do some damage it's possible to get a full big bang combo off but I suggest the golf swing combo it's gives you more time to run away after he gets up Also make sur3 to paralyze him near the end of the hill so you can do ur charge spin to win hammer move great for mounting and has really good damage I only use hammer outta the weapon choices the area quest gives so I'm only useful for hammer tips
Lost pleasure with this game after xeno but decided to give it another chance n this fight is bs, makes me want to crack the disc n throw it into creators head, the loadouts are horrible no matter which u use, the damn antidote takes so long to use n u can't dodge or it cancels, or u do manage to finish it n rath hits u as ur following up with health, i can literally blow thru every monster in the game before they run the first time but this one makes the whole game shit
It's been awhile since I've been in the game but I believe you might have to capture that particular monster before it'll show up in that special Quest
so coop is the way to do this shit show ... thanks capcom for hideing content away behinde content because you cant make a fair fight ...... great : use a weapon you cant play and get a mate you dont have or be a freaking speedrunner .... capcom best devs ever !!!
The Rathalos is easier to defeat with the Hammer. Just go to the far back hill and hold the charge button slide down the slope and release to do a spinning attack. Also that Katana you get with the coins is very nice.

even after 1 year i made solo did take double the but did work out quit well

You can search for a multiplayer session with description “arena”, then you will fight people to team up with.

If you're on PC it's a little bit harder for some reason. This is more reasonable when you're in coop

I didn't start any Arena Quest until I was post game. If you are ready post game then it's probably some type of option Quest you need to complete

the arena Quest are typically locked behind you needing to capture the monster first then they'll be available
