- MHW: How to Complete Arena Quest 09 Easy Strategy with a Lance. You can receive Flying Coin by completing this quest. Ace Hunter Coin has a chance to drop (certain conditions may apply). Arena Quest are available in the Gathering Hub by talking to the Arena Lass. This video will show a Easy Strategy by guarding with the Lance and letting the 2 Diablos do all the work for you.

One Diablo is already ridiculous as is. Two is just unplayable. Who thought this was good idea?

Took me 2 hours to get all my flying coins. I was really on breaking my controller.
This is just stupid whoever thought of this should kill themselves
The worst thing about these double monsters is that they can block your entire screen vision. You can react to one, but can't see what the other is doing

I did this solo, I don't know anything about the lance but I just kept my shield up and poked them and used traps until they both died. Did it first try, took 25 mins, literally did nothing besides hold the shield up and poke, very easy. Pretty sure they do most of the damage to each other, they were breaking horns off and KO'ing each other pretty much constantly.
Yeah it will take quite some time but you're almost guaranteed to get it done that way
You can bomb them when their horns meet for a good chunk of guaranteed damage on both of them.
Standing by the crawl exit also keeps you safer since your sides are less exposed, and makes them hit each other more often since that area is more enclosed.

if you don't have friends.
get a gunlance, stay by the corner and block and triangle.
the diablos will slowly kill each other and all you gotta do is stab em every once in a while.
you are garunteed at least 1 flying coin every 21 minutes.
trust me this is the noobiest strategy i can think of but its definately one way to get flying coins without stressing out.

Thanks!! It's fair enough that we can cheese this all we want. We're just even-ing the odds since there's 2 diablos against you in a tiny ring🙃. Back to the topic at hand, i need help getting the ace hunter coins. But apparently you need to get an A rating. Any recommendations? Tips?
Im not a S ranking hunter in this game but i will absolutley do anything in my disposal to have those coins.

If you do Arena Q8 you can get the Ace coins. They have higher drop chance if you dont die. You can get bronze rating and still get 2 coins atleast.
I use the Longsword. Then you can pull up the Radoban and fight him solo. Pull him up, and stay close to the wall while fighting him. Around the righthand side when you enter the arena room. Use rocksteady cape and affinity aoe. Fight him solo is easy. Then you fight the one left. Dont forgrt to use your rocksteady cape again. And use the traps on the last one.
Pretty easy tacs.

@@techmo8397 you dont need to get a A to get ace coins, they have higher chance the better ranking but is always a possible drop. i know this since i cant better result than a C and still have ace hunter coin.

I don't mind them I guess. Only because I tried out the Hammer in the Arena and it's my main weapon. Probably wouldn't have if it's wasn't for the arena

@@GamingWithAbyss basically you had many opportunities to use the rest of your items and also you could poke at them more just guard when they dig or turn your way.
I know I'm years late but THANK YOU. First time I've ever touched a lance and did it in 25 min first try. I just watched some videos while holding the shield up so I don't have to watch two diablos hammering me against the wall for +20 minutes and then it was just a matter of poking a tiny bit and done. You've saved me so much suffering and stress since I don't main any of the weapons!

@@GamingWithAbyss I just found out that if you stay in the crack that you use to get into the fighting arena they will keep hurting each other. Takes a lot longer but you don't have to pay attention to the controller lol

Lol i tried the afk strategy. I find something to hold down my ctrl key and go out for lunch. When i comeback. I use dragonator then them both die instantly. What a fun game we have here.

@@jakoblikessushi5070 get something like an eraser to press ctrl for you and leave it. If you dont hit em they wont die so cover that part of the damage with dragonator. Also occasionally they'll do turf wars again and again so more for you.
But you can't just do that since you lose stamina for each and every hit you take :D How's that work then?
This arena is a massive shit pot. You get hit, you have teeny bit of hp left, but youre GODDAMN stunned.

As for the 2 Diablos.....yeah your 110% right. The dev were trolling us tremendously. That or they were drunk lol.
The way I did it was I was solo and I guard near the dragonator and let them flight and when it is ready I pull the lever and if they don’t die I wait again

Gaming with Abyss got all the coins i need for Divine Slasher using your strategy & actually had fun with it once i got used to the lance.
Yeah I almost want to redo the video because it was the first time using the Lance and I was so rubbish at it compared to now
I feel like you could have used the scream pods more... and use the poison at the start for an edge also both diabolses damage each other even if you stay guard and dont attack they can fight each other and damage one another also it is good to screamer pod both and them bomb it's to risky just to have the bombs out in the open without a trap in place.
You're right about that. When I did the video way back when, I wanted to show how to with the Lance and complete this challenge. A lot of people were having trouble with this particular one. I didn't want to do too much just kept it simple

I did it solo with the bowgun. Took me 18 mins but geez I lost count how many time I try it b4 I recorded the 1st W. After that 20 Mins is usually my finish rate every time I play it. Tough ass fight
I helped a friend last week with this but we both used the lance. Never tried the bowgun. The lance is easy to block and time your shot.

Good idea. For the time being, it would be the same way. Use the Lance and hold the block down. Let the two Diablos kill either. Eventually one them will be weak enough to easily kill. Leaving you 1 on 1 with the last Diablos

My fingers are actually numb after doing this quest over and over to get the those ace coins for Divine Slasher LS. Should've at least let me use the insect glaive instead of the weapons I'm not familiar with. :(

Most of these are tie between completing the main storyline completely or finishing the optional high rank missions all of them or capturing certain monsters

What's with the ace hunter coin drop rate? God damn, after 50 mission I only have 6 lol.
The ones that I have gotten were from higher rank missions. I'm always with a friend and if we get silver rank, we get 2 Ace and 1 Ace if bronze

Right now there is a dual tempered monster quest. A tempered bezelguese and uragan. Those have given me the ace hunter coins. Kind of irritating to do solo, but it is what it is. Also like this video if you lock yourself on one side they fight. Although too bad it is very one sided, Mr. B52 destroys the Urugan.

How’d you unlock this?
I can't confirm because I was helping out a friend with this Quest. From what he was saying you have to complete high-ranked optional Quest. There is 2 Diablos optional quest in rank 7. Well, That Diablos and Two-horned Hostility. Others have said you need to Capture them both for it to unlock. I recommend completing those two Quest by capturing them. Also story progression could be a thing, you have to be hero rank 13 or higher. I wish I had a straight answer but if you happen to unlock it this way please let me know.

Did you finish the other arena missions before quest 09? If so then finish off Xeno might be the answer. My friend will be online later so I will pick his brains more. I know we both didn't step into the arena till post game

It's definitely easier with two people, you're right about that. A couple weeks ago I tried it solo and it wasn't too bad. When I made this video way back when, I didn't know how to use the Lance at all. So a couple weeks I go I tried it again solo since I know how to use a lance now. It wasn't so bad and I think I carded twice. So if you're having trouble I recommend doing a little training with the Lance then it won't be as bad. Good luck hunting
Yeah, I finished it with sns ,but still ,thks for your suggestion , probably do it with a partner is significantly easier
Good idea with that Sns. This way you can have that block and you can use your pods without putting your weapon away
