In this update we take a look at the progress on the Secord Dam. A lot of work has started and they are completing some pull ahead projects on the low level outlet. The Secord Dam is located on what used to be Secord Lake. Secord Lake is located in Mid Michigan. This footage was filmed on August 9, 2022. This was after the collapse of the Edenville Dam on May 19, 2020. There was much flooding that occurred around the dam at the same time that the Edenville Dam collapsed on May 19, 2020. Wixom Lake was rapidly rising due to heavy rainfall and the Edenville dam could not hold back the water. The side of the dam failed sending water rushing towards Sanford Village. The aftermath and damage left behind is devastating. Make sure you subscribe to catch the follow up videos I will be filming.

Mio Dam is now in Consumers Powers sites for possible closure. They held first public meeting last week with a sizable turn out by local residents. My concern is that we the people that live here need to learn much more about our dam then Consumers will be willing to divulge to us. We need educating on what we need to do. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated. A concerned Mio resident.
Will you be doing a full documentary with your footage and interviews (if any) upon completion? Seems like a good resource for other dams around the country.

Hi Jordan. You say at 15:15 construction is to start but what do you mean, is that when they are installing the gates? Do we know more about what the construction consists of

@@JordanMowbray thank you for the reply… I am absolutely completely amazed at how much progress they have made in less than two years… I’m wondering why they think it would be another three years to install what appears to be some gates… Am I missing something.
