They remove a small space of seat is actually to give way for person's who uses wheelchair instead of blocking the middle, there is a dedicated space for a person who uses wheelchair, which it make sense 😊

“The subway trains in Singapore has not been updated for a very long time” I actually like that the fact they have it been updated as it brings back unforgettable memories of the past. The smile of the C751B that you said smelled like airplanes? Many Train Enthusiasts enjoy and like those, especially now, when there are only 2 C751B left. TBH he's pretty wrong on that, the last first order of a new rolling stock (C151A) was in 2011 (ordered in 2009) with further orders of 45 (C151B, 2017) & 12 Sets (C151C, 2018) It's more appropriate to say _first new design of a rolling stock_ instead, since previous contracts are just modernisation of the original C151 to modern standards and amenities (thank god no more STARiS 2.0, aka the fugly ass monitor based route info display system on C151B (with the SMRT pixel livery) )
Two things you mentioned, "IDK". The first one refers to what's called bum rest. They offer some seat rest without congesting the entry/exit door during rush hour. The second IDK on intentionally delayed opening of train doors is to ensure that the train has come fully to a stop before opening its doors. Safety is paramount in SG.

Please SMRT put the new announcement chimes on the R151 cos the new chime sounds super good compared to the old one and it will fit well in the R151!!!
Wish the new train made bigger maps of the line it’s traveling on like how the old trains have them because they only have the small maps of all the mrt lines and it’s hard to see if you aren’t standing near it (especially during peak hours)

New doesn’t mean great. When the predecessor proof it’s quality. What you want is the feel of its futuristic design. This has yet to proof its quality. Time will tell.

I wish they put back all the seats that they took away. It does not increase the capacity even though it may be in theory. The seats will really give people young and old a good rest. I think the people deciding it does not take train regularly.
Technically ya wrong lol... nearly all previous rolling stocks are more Japanese than this newest one, being it being from Kawasaki (the most recent came from a JV in Qingdao, China) this particular rolling stock is from Alstom (former Bombardier) tho still built by a Chinese JV, this time from Changchun
