Could you imagine being a craftworld Eldar that died in defense of your home, your soul stone shattered by some chaos stooge and being tortured for so long that you lose your sense of self… THEN SUDDENLY a God of Fricking LIGHT busts open Slaanesh’s tum-tum and rescues you. Turns you into an elf again, gives you a realm of light to fight against Chaos, and ages to just relax and enjoy not being soul-vored. There's this bit from the Warhammer wiki about Teclis' opinion on humans that solidifies him as the best fantasy elf ever for me. It's from a bit of the lore where the brothers are going through Lustria with a bunch of humans as part of their army, and he thinks of how stupid the sense of Elven superiority is:
"Later, during a battle against the Undead, Teclis found himself within a situation where he could save himself and his brother at the cost of the humans they'd brought on their expedition. He wondered why he should care, reasoning that, by elven standards, they were going to die soon anyway, whether by disease or disaster.
But Teclis did care. He felt responsible for them, both he and his brother having brought them into danger. And though their lives were short, they were the only lives they had. He even felt sympathy for humans that his kin seemed to lack, the mage knowing that most elves would not have given him a chance at living when he had been but a sickly child.
So it was that Teclis could see himself in humans, he could share in their perspective, for they were poorly made and despised by his fellow elves, just like he was."
He's self aware and looks at things from a broader perspective. And as such he just... Helps. He helps everyone be better, elves, humans and dwarves alike. All the while being an absolute power house... Speaking of which, such is the power of Negash.

Interestingly enough, the “fall” of the lumineth in AOS was a bit more original than the Eldar’s fall. Rather than spawning/summoning the forces of slaanesh through hedonism the Lumineth literally had a Cold War-like arms race of magic that ended with them literally nuking the fabric of reality in mutually assured destruction.

iirc it was from the thanquol book. “The warlock engineers soon discovered the Device of the Great Beyond, a communication apparatus that spoke to beings from beyond the stars. As they swirled its many dials, a querulous voice spoke through the stone speakers. That voice, fair and clear, caused the Skaven to bolt away. The device was something like the far-squeaker, but the melodious tones that issued forth were, if anything, kin to the despised speech of the elf-things. As they did not understand the alien language, nor how the arcane contraption worked, the warlock engineers pulled the the device apart and shot it with warplock pistols until it stopped making any sounds.”

So far he's just been wandering the realms searching for Felix, wanting to kill the rat, looking for a way to beat up Nagash, or looking for his axe. He's been in half the realms and only has Ghur and Hysh left "realistically", so he's bound to meet up with Teclis sooner or later, maybe give Kragnos a helluva fight. Recently there was this really nice comparision of the Idoneth and Lumineth and Teclis on the AoS Lore subreddit.
The Idoneth are akin to WFB Teclis. Divinly cursed, needing magical infusions just to survive, being scorned but still clinging to live and longing for greatness.
Meanwhile the Lumineth are how AoS Teclis sees himself. Physicly gifted and strong, "pure", talented in magic, without major innate flaws.
It further points out that maybe Teclis disliked the Idoneth because they reminded him of his former mortal shell. And that Tyrion took pity on them, because they reminded him of WFB Teclis, kicking in his big brother instincts. That or the Idoneth reminded Tyrion of himself and his part of Khaines curse, a darkness upon the soul.
Either way I found this to be an intrueging paralell between creation and creator, which deserves to be explored. To bad GW will likley never touch upon it :S

so in headcannon, Teclis also made very silly mistakes there.
