I'm SUCH a fan of your channel and I'm really excited because I'm helping my sister learn to crochet from across the country. Everytime she runs into something she doesn't understand you have a video that answers her questions so clearly and simply. Thanks so much for being awesome and sharing so much knowledge with us!

Thank you for this video. I'm a relatively new crocheter and saw no need for front loop or back loop stitches as it was too hard to make them work for me. Now I can see that they work well for other stitches. I've also not seen using the slip stitch to start a new color before. Subscribed.

Marly I have watched your videos from the start of learning to crochet, even though I already know how to crochet, I have learned much from your videos. I'd like to thank you and let you know how much I appreciate them. I will continue to watch your videos since it is never to late to learn how to perfect your crocheting skills. Thank you for the great tutorials! I have a question. I am doing a pattern where this method is used. When I join the new color with a slip stitch, does that count as a stitch? Or should I chain one on top of it to be my first stitch? The entire pattern is single crochet (amigurumi).

Thanks for this tutorial! Just wondering if there is any reason why you start the new yarn/colours on the opposite end to where you cast off the previous row? Thanks!

Thank you for having this! I'm extremely new at it and trying to learn new things. You do it slowly and explain very well.
