Thank you, Grannymar! Short, sweet, and to the point. I got it the first time around. I like at 4:19 "And brave heart, you pick up the scissors."

:No one teaches the magic knot like you do. I have tried them all, and your video is the best. You are very slow, and so easy to understand. I have watched other videos and they go so fast that I cannot follow them Great instructor and thanks for your patience.

Thank you for sharing this. Your video is so much clearer than other ones I have been watching and they just confused me because I'm obviously working with live yarn and not two loose pieces. I'm a first-time knitter and this method for joining yarns worked perfectly under your instructions. Thank you so much!

Thank you so much for your excellent tutorial x oh how I wish I'd found you before finishing the Graphgan I just made, it would have saved days of weaving in all those ends.
listening to you also brought a tear to my eye, made me miss my dear old Dad who was Irish x

I looked at many of the RUclips how to join yarn and found yours the easiest to learn. Explaining the under 1 over 2 made it very easy to remember how to do it. So many of them talked about wrapping around fingers and couldn't really see what they were doing and one used needle, it came out okay but more work threading needle, yours is so much easier. Thank you for sharing.

Today I was knitting with a very heavy nubby yarn (difficult to work with as far as I'm concerned) and thought this joining method would never work with it. Surprise! After knitting a few rows I had a problem finding where I made the knot. Once again, I am more than happy with this video and method for joining a new ball of yarn.

When the yarns are the same color I put a small knot at the end of new yarn so I can tell the old from the new.
Thank you so much for your clear description..

Bless your heart for showing this. I always wondered how to connect two pieces of yarn. I was always left with 2 tails that got sewn into an afghan but would always pop out. If I cut the tails, the knot would undo itself and the blanket would fall apart. Just did this trick you shown and it works like a charm!!! Thank you!!!💙❤

I agree with Carmen Hawkinson, this lady is adorable. Granny takes her time to explain. This tutorial came in handy for beading and I really appreciated it. Sometimes I use nylon thread 0.25 for bracelets and necklaces and the knots come undone. I found the greatest solution to connect the nylon threads. Steady and solid. Thanks for sharing caring and making me smile 💕💕💐💐💐🥂🥂🥂🌞🌞🌞😁😁😁🥰🥰🥰

This is great, I can't wait to get home and join my wool. I love knitting scarfs for friends in different congregations and I never knew how to join the wool because I like to make long, very long scarfs using at least two balls of wool together. I only know how to knit one stick but I vary color and texture so they all look different so this is great, fabulous I will never have a long scarf come apart again. Thank you so very much.
