I would never of thought I would be ALL thumbs while tying a darn knot but I am. PRACTICE PRACTICE I GUESS😉 I love your demos....you make it easy to follow THANK YOU soo much
:No one teaches the magic knot like you do. I have tried them all, and your video is the best. You are very slow, and so easy to understand. I have watched other videos and they go so fast that I cannot follow them Great instructor and thanks for your patience.
Thank you for sharing this. Your video is so much clearer than other ones I have been watching and they just confused me because I'm obviously working with live yarn and not two loose pieces. I'm a first-time knitter and this method for joining yarns worked perfectly under your instructions. Thank you so much!
Thank you so much for your excellent tutorial x oh how I wish I'd found you before finishing the Graphgan I just made, it would have saved days of weaving in all those ends. listening to you also brought a tear to my eye, made me miss my dear old Dad who was Irish x
I looked at many of the RUclips how to join yarn and found yours the easiest to learn. Explaining the under 1 over 2 made it very easy to remember how to do it. So many of them talked about wrapping around fingers and couldn't really see what they were doing and one used needle, it came out okay but more work threading needle, yours is so much easier. Thank you for sharing.
I love listening to your voice, Grannymar! So gentle and encouraging. I have watched a good few videos on the Magic Knot. Your video is my favourite. Thank you so much for sharing!!!
Today I was knitting with a very heavy nubby yarn (difficult to work with as far as I'm concerned) and thought this joining method would never work with it. Surprise! After knitting a few rows I had a problem finding where I made the knot. Once again, I am more than happy with this video and method for joining a new ball of yarn.
When the yarns are the same color I put a small knot at the end of new yarn so I can tell the old from the new. Thank you so much for your clear description..
Tried your method tonight on a scarf I was knitting. I love it. So much better than other methods I have tried, and it really works! Could not see, or feel the knot. Thank you!
Oh thank you for making it so very clear, simple and showing it at such a slow pace! At last, after watching many other posts, you have enabled me to knit without loose tags! Thanks again.
Yours is the first explanation I could actually follow and learn from. Plus, the knot actually worked! Thank you so much! It was if you were sitting next to me showing me how to do it.
I just wanted to thank you so much for your description of how to do the magic knot. I really could not understand anyone else’s. You have made it so easy to change skeins now. I don’t like to weave in ends, so this method is perfect! Thanks again.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for this video !!!! I have finally mastered this joining together of yarns and love it. Practically no more ends to weave !!! Thanks again !
Did this a long time ago.. forgot how to tie the knots. She made it simple and I will remember how for the next time. Her example was right on! Thanks again for taking the time to put up this video.
I spent 1 hour watching videos how to do it, with no success. I start believing am I stupid? So confusing until I found your video. Thanks a lot, very grateful!!!
Bless your heart for showing this. I always wondered how to connect two pieces of yarn. I was always left with 2 tails that got sewn into an afghan but would always pop out. If I cut the tails, the knot would undo itself and the blanket would fall apart. Just did this trick you shown and it works like a charm!!! Thank you!!!💙❤
I wasn't fortunate enough to have any grandparents but if i had've had a grandma, i imagine myself learning these types of tricks from her. Thank you and bless you granymar. It worked like a charm and i will always join my yarn like this from now on.
Thanks Finally I know how to do this. I have tried so many ways and my projects look horrible with big knots . The thing is I have a hard time finding you . Now I put you into my email so when I need you you are right there. Hope you do some more videos
Grannymar, I love your accent! And also the way you are teaching how to do the magic knot. Thank you, it is very easy to understand what you are doing, & you are not going lickety split like most of the others do.
THANK YOU SO MUCH! Your demonstration has been very useful to me since I am a crochet beginner. I was using another type of knot and now I am afraid my three past knots come off... I cross my fingers it wont happen. From now on, I will be doing your teaching.
I can not believe how easy you made this step. Using to different colors and speaking slow. made this so much easier to understand. Thank you Thank you,
Thank you so much for this. Who knew the Magic Knot could be so very easy? I was never able to grasp the old way of doing this. :( Thank you again for such an easy to follow and understand video.
You are amazing. Thank you so much for uploading this. I have practicing with yarn after seeing this video and I can confidently join in new yarn. I am on top of the world right now. Have a wonderful day. Thank you once again.
Thank you so much!!!! I've been trying to get his right and I've watched so many tutorial's and haven't been able to get it until now! I got it the first time with your tutorial. Your directions are so clear and easy to follow! Appreciate it! :)
I agree with Carmen Hawkinson, this lady is adorable. Granny takes her time to explain. This tutorial came in handy for beading and I really appreciated it. Sometimes I use nylon thread 0.25 for bracelets and necklaces and the knots come undone. I found the greatest solution to connect the nylon threads. Steady and solid. Thanks for sharing caring and making me smile 💕💕💐💐💐🥂🥂🥂🌞🌞🌞😁😁😁🥰🥰🥰
THANK YOU!!!! Love that you understand that people are looking to learn, and therefore teach accordingly. Others go from 1-10 in like 2 steps -_-. Thanks again :)
I FOUND YOU AGAIN..🤗🤗👏👏.. I Had learned this THE BEAT WAY Is how you show us.. I shared your Vide7a few years ago..lost it..NOW YES...I'm sharing you again.. You are Simply AMAZING.. Thank you again..love hugs to you and Yours 🙏🙏🙏🤟❣
Brilliant. Thank you! You have to make sure that the knot ends up in the back of your work though otherwise it will show. I hate weaving in ends, so this tutorial has saved my life!
Thank you so much for demonstrating this slowly. Other demonstrations I have watch go too quickly for those of us who have never made a knot like this!
Fantastic explanation. Other videos i saw do it with two cut pieces of yarn. This video gives a much better understanding, representation and instruction!
This is great, I can't wait to get home and join my wool. I love knitting scarfs for friends in different congregations and I never knew how to join the wool because I like to make long, very long scarfs using at least two balls of wool together. I only know how to knit one stick but I vary color and texture so they all look different so this is great, fabulous I will never have a long scarf come apart again. Thank you so very much.
It's the cutting part that terrifies me, lol. I'm afraid no matter how tight I make the knots it will all fall apart in the wash, lol. I love this video...I just need to be brave!
Thank you for showing this! I'm currently working on a project & I was needing a better way in adding a new ball/skein of yarn & I believe that this is going to do the trick!
Thank you so much for making this so simple for me to understand. I agree with Lori T, I watched another video prior to yours & could not for the life of me, figure it out.
I would never of thought I would be ALL thumbs while tying a darn knot but I am. PRACTICE PRACTICE I GUESS😉 I love your demos....you make it easy to follow THANK YOU soo much
Thank you, Grannymar! Short, sweet, and to the point. I got it the first time around. I like at 4:19 "And brave heart, you pick up the scissors."
