I grew up going to those beaches. I see a couple of problems in your diving experience. Seems it was a cloudy day, not good. Maybe the timing/season was off; best time to dive into the ocean is after 3:00 PM, the water is warmer the afternoon/evening. February is a very good month to go to the beach. I can tell you there are times at the beach when the sun bites you, then you dive into the water, and the 'cold' feels absolutely amazing & refreshing. If you add to that the sun that is going down bellow the horizon, and the ocean becomes like a fire of light reflected in every little wave. Pure magic.
Thank you for the view and comment! - Yes, we jumped into the ocean at the 11am hour... We should have waited. The sun did seem to come out around 2 or 3 pm and it was quite warm at those hours. Great tips and thanks again!
SON MUY SIMPATICOS Y AGRADABLES .Ojala se queden mucho tiempo en Chile, recorriendo este hermoso pais .Y fue muy buena elección quedarse en Con Con .Saludos y muy buen video
Analyzing carefully, this is a colossal nation. On vacation, Chileans go to 12 types of geographies to have a good time and each person returns to their environment where they chose to live.
Your videos are so fun to watch you guys! I came across your Santiago review video and been watching since then. As a chilean, I appreciate your honesty about the goods and the not so goods of our cities. As for this video, I prefer Viña del Mar! Some years ago I'd have chosen Valparaíso, but it has been deteriorating in the recent years, so it needs a brushup to be what it once was (a UNESCO World Heritage site in fact). If you have more time in Chile, near the Viña del Mar area you can gor for a hike to La Campana National Park (the views from there are splendid). Saludos desde Villarrica, en el sur de Chile.🏔🙌
Thank you for the view and comment! - We definitely love Chile. We are considering coming back to visit again, for the volcanos and the deserts this next time around. We did make it down to Patagonia and we're working on that video actively. :-)
I agree. Concón is nice but Viña is another story, no comparison. Seems you only scratched the touristic border of the city. If you rent & stay more up to the hills, you will experience Viña in a very different perspective: old neighbourhoods, very middle-class, traditional, the day to day life of a small town. And you walk down 10/15 mins and you are downtown or at the beach.
I live in Florida and the water is too warm for my taste I rather jump in icy water those summer hot days ….thank you guys for sharing your experience I am enjoying your videos …be safe
Well I live in Concon just a couple streets inland from the building you stayed and before 2019 I lived for 20 years in Viña del Mar. You pretty much nail everything. The dunes are a hidden from the world, unkown natural wonder. I mean, where do you see sand dunes high above the ocean shore, so high that from the top you can see Earth’s curvature? That view is just priceless in this whole freakin universe! Now, geographically speaking, those dunes are the last, southermost tip of the Atacama desert.
@@lifetheorycouple Yes! There is a hill called Cerro Mauco some kms north. I went once there a little too late in the day and I got to see the sunset from the mountain top, above low clouds! Then ofc I went down the hill in darkness lol, not recommended 😂 Better to go earlier in the day.
Tall tales if you say best in world… Yet we come dammmaaannn close, certainly in diversity of sorroundings!…. We are bad asses! We are different! We are cosmopolitan if cosmopolitan meant Chill at your backyard and stare at the inmensity of Mountains!!! Romantic getaway? That actually spells certains expectations, which can be fulfilled, or a total failure, that my friends would be like an eternal sunshine given the right person… I ask, how many people never meet their expectations because they simply limit themselves, we all know those peeps!
Thank you for the view and comment! - People typically approach places with too many expectations and it really tarnishes the experiences they could have... We're guilty of this ourselves. So, it's important we don't build too much up in our minds about a place before actually visiting and exploring.

For this reason, we very much so want to do a road trip from north to south, or vice versa in the future.

Excelente video, un abrazo grande para ustedes

If you begin to know about cold water as a child, really doesn't matter, but understandable for both of you. But is funny for me🤣🤣🤣
haha! Yes, that's why we put it in there. Cold water is always shocking to jump into.

True!! It sounds like you need to take a visit. 😀

Thank you for the view and comment! - We LOVED it over there. We're also curious, are there any good hiking spots near the city??

Hey! Theres a nice restaurants in concon, you should try “La Gatita” and some empanadas in “el mono”
We no longer there... But, the next time we visit we'll definitely drop by. :-)
Enjoy … Chile is pure Joy and Merryment!!!
Yes!!! We really want to go back for the desert 🌵 and the volcanos 🌋 !!!!
@@lifetheorycouple … Osormo might be the most famous…Villarrica tops them all…at night in particular….
We met someone from Villarica in Patagonia and that’s where we would like to go, as well as Valdivia.
Tienen razón el océano pacífico a la altura de Viña de Mar es muy frio, en invierno tiene 14 grados y en verano tiene 18 grados Celsius.
Nos encantaría volver al verano y refrescarnos!
Well now I gotta go there!!
HA! Yes! I guarantee you'll enjoy it!
El agua es fria porque viene de la antartica, casi como hielo, y se va entibiando hacia el norte, solo es cosa de costumbre jaja
Siiii, notamos que muchos locales ya estaban acostumbrados. Para nosotros fue my fuerte 😅
