On the Security side, yeah, Buenos Aires is a hell hole compared with other cities in the country, specially when compared with those in North west (Salta, Jujuy, Catamarca) and in Patagonia.

Btw inflation is when money gets printed at such rate that the actual buying power of the money gets lower

That's one way, inflation however can occur if other goods increase. Things like supply shortages can cause inflation especially things like oil, since that impacts the price of everything. Inflation is simply just the devaluation of a currency there's many things that can cause it not just overprinting money

Hey I'm an American with PR in Argentina. You can get dollars using either PayPal or Crypto Stable coins with some money changers. Commission on Paypal is steep normally around 6% and on stable coins it's 2 or 3%. Also when you pay with card the preferable tourist dollar rate should (at least in theory) work on all international cards in the visa and Mastercard networks (does not work for AMEX and discover). Also the tourist dollar recently has begun to drift farther from dollar blue if I am not mistaken my transaction goes through at about 1:1240 and dollar blue is about 1:1340.

''Yo me llamo Tekla'' as you said the second time it's the way people in Buenos Aires mostly pronounce. In the inside provinces this varies a lot.

Well...if you're from Germany then you should be used to limited options! ooh! Just kidding..lol! Although i must say...when I've been to Germany more often my options were either Pork or Pork! (especially in smaller towns) 😝😝! But yes i also have to agree with you about Argentina!

0:48 I think you are conflating withdrawing money with exchanging currencies. If you have Argentinian pesos in your bank account you can withdraw them at an ATM no issue. If you have dollar bills you would go to an unofficial currency exchange (known as Cuevas, Spanish for Caves), not an ATM. The reason why unofficial dollar is worth more is because it fluctuates freely without government intervention. Official exchange rate is a fantasy controlled by government that we are yet to solve.

Yes exactly, I assumed that one would not have Pesos on the bank account since it the video is aimed at foreigners that are just now coming to the country :)
