We missed this lake while we were up there, but your video makes up for it! Great images and I appreciate your thought process through it all as well. I especially like that silky smooth water with the 30-sec exposure.
Excellent work! You're now giving me the urge to go visit my Rockies! It's been on my bucket list for a long time! I'll make sure to bring some rubber boots 😂
You made some amazing images again! I do love that 14-35 Canon lens. It's just about perfect for travel. The 24-105 is amazing as well. You are brave for getting into that water. Cold and I are not friends so I'm not sure I would have done that.
Phil, my ankles still hurt from thinking about how cold that water must have been. Absolutely stunning photos. I love the one with the road - well, all of them really. Beautiful ❤❤❤❤
Amazing shots there Phil. Out West is next on our bucket list, we have done the entire east coast over the years (Florida to NewFoundLand) then we will head west.
@@PhilThach Been there numerous times for business (work in the aerospace sector) but never had the chance to actually stop and take the time to visit. Pattern was fly in - work - hotel - fly back. Saw the Rockies countless times ….from above .☝️. Cheers
Love all of those shots that you showed us. I like the idea of your 10 stop ND filter as I now have the same camera/lens you used quite a lot. Do you think the ND is a good investment?
Great shots Phil. Is that the lake that has the bubbles in the winter? Also what L-bracket was that on your Canon? How can you use the LCD screen with it? I am looking for one for my Canon 90D.
@@billbaker4970 thank you! Yes, that is the lake that has the famous bubbles when it freezes. The L bracket on my R6 Mark II is made by Small Rig. It works fine with the flip screen.
Very nice Phil!!! But too cold for me, so I will just enjoy ur images …😂😂 I must ask… what is the deal with 10-stop neutral density filter?? I don’t know much so maybe u could share the details of its usage and value … thanks.
@@richwoodham3296 thank you! A neutral density filter is like sunglasses for your camera. The whole purpose of it is to allow less light in to the lens which allows you to have longer shutter speeds for creative effects.
10:39 Funny how, looking at the tree in the center (The one closest to the camera), the patern near the bottom of the tree looks just like an alpha male baboon face... (On RUclips at least) 🤔
Do not understand how you take such excellent pictures with that Canon camera. It overheats, not enough pixels, ibis wable, not enough dynamic range, no mov, no full HDMI, no open gate no global shiutter , bla bla bla bla. I just don’t understand 😅
Great series! Take care

Brave soul for jumping into that lake. Hopefully we can see some Nikon action soon! Enjoying the views.

Great plan on the zippered pants and throw away shoes! I bet that water was cold. Lol. I’m a sucker for long exposures. Great photos!

The water was very cold, but for some reason, it did not bother me I guess because I was so excited by what I was seeing.
Hope your both having a wonderful trip Phil 😊. Do you prefer the R6ii or the R5?
@@stephenbolger5925 thank you! I think an R5 would have been better for this work with its high resolution, but I don’t have one.
