I'm a subscriber from Alberta and love your channel. Glad to see that you enjoyed the Canadian Rockies on your honeymoon. The pointy mountain at Waterfowl Lake is called Mount Chephren (pronounced Kefren) and named after an Egyptian pharaoh. It's a shame that you weren't able to go further north due to the Jasper fire. 🙂
Thank you! We hope to return in a few years and travel the entire Iceroads Parkway. I think I might have another photo of Mount Chephren from a different direction in the video that comes out on Saturday, I'm not sure.
Phil, your video does an amazing job of capturing the stunning Canadian landscapes! The panoramas are breathtaking, and the way you’ve used long exposures really highlights the peaceful beauty of each scene. I love how you played with different lenses and compositions-every shot feels like it truly captures the moment. Fantastic work!
Great pics Phil-- Love the panoramas that you presented - The size and grandeur of those mountains are hard to capture but you did a great job. Looks like you are really enjoying the trip-- Did you happen to see any of the recent auroras while you were there? Down in Oregon we got some amazing shots hope you were able to also.
@@PhilThach I'd like to go back again but it's a long way from down under & there's plenty of other places I've seen since then & still plenty more I want to see.
Beautiful pictures Phil. I’m sorry that you couldn’t drive the entire parkway due to the recent fire. It’s worth taking the glacier tour with the Brewster buses - quite the experience. Lots of good hiking and sight seeing. Hope you had a good trip and congratulations!
Hi Phil - another good video story of your honeymoon travels along the Icefield Parkway. I stopped at the exact same spot as you did at 17:52, but in winter 2019 with those incredible mountains draped in snow under a bright blue sky - an amazing sight!
Welcome to Canada Phil !, looks like you and your new wife are enjoying the sights , some great mountain landscape shots you have gotten ,I haven't been in those areas for several years now but got quite a few shots with my D800 before , I think you like your D800 if you still have it, so much great dramatic scenery around there but like you noticed often trees or bushes or other stuff can get in the way, too bad you couldn't have gotten up to the Jasper area too so much more to see up there.
Phil, as always great content. I felt like I was there with you 😁 I would like to do this trip in the future. What is your secret to get your spouse to patiently give you so much time to setup? My experience: I don't get more than a few 10's of seconds to play with my camera, and then I hear "ok, let's go already" 😂
