I love stores like this. I go outta my way away from big box stores and seek out stores like this. They are like museums and interactive and top notch customer service. I never get a special feeling in big box stores, conversely I feel at home in a family run store such as retro Rick. Good vibes and sparks the childhood good memories playing video games and not having grown up cares and worries that we all face. What a cool place.
You can always tell, that stuff sells like crazy there! Although he always shows what he buys for the store, and trade in videos, I'm pretty sure items sell all the time, we just don't see it. I totally love these videos, very very entertaining!!!! Good Job running an amazing store!!!!
Your ☀️ is such a natural on camera! 😂 “Give me a thumbs up!” 👍 🤩👍 This was such a fun video! Carey spittin all the collector lingo now. 😂CIB all day babyyyy! 😎🔥👊
5:35 In 1979, Sharp Corporation had released a grill oven range called the Family Convection Oven or “Famicon” for short. In Japanese that’s written as ファミコン which is exactly how Famicom with an “M” at the end is written, as well. In Japanese, these two would be pronounced the same, despite English spelling differences. The trademark law in Japan does allow for the same term to be trademarked more than once, but the products must fall under separate classifications. By the time 1983 rolled around, everything should have been fine. Except the Sharp Famicon was classified as a “consumer electronic device” - a term which broadly covering practically anything used in homes. Nintendo was locked out, and was forced to go with the term "Family Computer" instead - although fans called it Famicom from day one. Thankfully, the dispute ended amicably. There wasn’t any court case, likely because Nintendo didn’t have much standing at the time. According to a Japanese book called “Strange Trademarks”, the trademark was officially transferred on 17th October 1985. Because Sharp already had the rights to the term Famicom, Nintendo licensed out the use of Family Computer hardware to Sharp, which resulted in a few products, such as the Famicom Titler, Famicom TV and Twin Famicom - all of which are branded by Sharp and use the word Famicom prominently. While Nintendo now owns the right to use the word Famicom, later hardware models still say Family Computer, keeping things uniform. The machine's successor, the Super Famicom, didn't suffer from this headache. Source: How Sharp Accidentally Copyright Trolled Nintendo Almost 40 Years Ago - Famicom Wars - K.J. The colors pop on those boxed consoles. Gotta love those. A lot of cool things coming into the store like always Retro Rick. I always enjoy these videos. The definitively take me back. Another 🔥🔥🔥 episode. Looking forward to the next
Micro Machines are cool....especially for me. The guy who came up with the idea for them and designed the first ones worked as a teacher at the college I went to. His cubicle that he had was covered bottom to top in them. He says that with the deal he had with the company any new micro machine that came out he was sent them. Easy to say he had the best cubicle in the college.
That Xbox360 was so cool 🤩Custom made GameBoy case, wow, your friend is very skilled for making that. The toys I get to see on this channel, brings back such cool memories of when times were much simpler haha 😉Will always be watching these videos, visiting that store is on my bucket list. If I ever have the possibility to come there, I surely will. Much love ❤
Awesome videos didn't realize until now in the background of your video you have Nintendo theme music from different games and I don't know how you can keep yourself for not wanting everything in that store that you own and keeping it for your personal collection
What percentage of market value do these stores usually offer for a lot? I’ve tried to sell a lot to every retro game store in my city, and they offered between 20-30%, which seemed way too low to me. I get that they need to make money, but jeez. Is that normal?
Yes! You got to get ! Chewy! Chubaccah! From Star wars a real original statue in your store... It's time for you to buy another location keep this location. But get a big store purchase. Pluse all the Star wars statues figures. Sasquatch size.
Greetings brother awesome video that is the super famicom or Super Nintendo in America, it’s the Japanese version of the Super Nintendo awesome console for the half price of the American. You deserved a like.
my sisters room mate has the r2 d2 xbox 360 and one of cosins has the mw2 xbox 360 and i want both of them so bad but what i really want is the mw3 xbox 360 it's one of fav games from the golden age of cod and it looks amazing in general
Well, I have 160 N64 games myself. I still need Daikatana and PGA European Tour. Throw in Green Day Rock Band, and that would be some nice gets. I just got Guitar Hero Warriors of Rock and Metallica. Guitar Hero Metallica goes for about $50, and I got it for $22.
Hey man, there's a way we can buy your stuff on online?? It's because I saw a God of War PS3 Origins where you found the Super Famicom and I'm looking for that game but here in Mexico it's kinda expensive 😞
Kinda glossed over the 90s Wresting figure... Kevin Nash played Super Shredder in TMNT 2 and was in Magic Mike. Not that the value would be more or anything but he's Super Shredder! lol
Since I've started my channel my game collection has grown a lot. I need much more room lol I'd love to be able to rent a studio for recording. We'll get there 🤞
you should just keep the games in the cases and on the shelves for display and when you make a sale just grab a copy of the game from the back, instead of having to keep restocking the empty shelves
Iv got 90% of the xbox360 consoles all PAL versions (From UK) so no good to retro rick the only console that has eluded me is the halo reach console (PAL) its a nightmare to find in good condition.
Would you be interested in buying my PS4? It is one owner from 2015, from clean non smoking home and console is very clean ! It has a 2 TB internal hard drive and Sony oem controller
I would love to shop at your game store but my wife would kill me as much money I spend. I would have to take $50 million to fight Tyson. If it killed me, I would want to make sure my kids are well taken care of and if they have any kids.
Your son will never forget those days growing up in a game store so amazing

Cool items and video as usual bro!
Awesome videos didn't realize until now in the background of your video you have Nintendo theme music from different games and I don't know how you can keep yourself for not wanting everything in that store that you own and keeping it for your personal collection

He’s said he does 50% in an interview. Which is crazy because my local game stores offer the same 20-30%. I just sell on eBay instead.

Hey man, there's a way we can buy your stuff on online?? It's because I saw a God of War PS3 Origins where you found the Super Famicom and I'm looking for that game but here in Mexico it's kinda expensive 😞

Why does it take you guys so long to edit and upload?
Just so you know "famicom" stands for "family computer", that's why it's not "famicon" 😅
The box looks like its a refurbished wii u from the official nintendo website

Your late on your videos. Tomorrow is February 1 and this video December 27.
I would love to shop at your game store but my wife would kill me as much money I spend. I would have to take $50 million to fight Tyson. If it killed me, I would want to make sure my kids are well taken care of and if they have any kids.
