POGS!! I've been a long time subscriber to the main channel to the point where I remember one of the earliest videos is Rick showing some kids what POGS were and how you play and collect them. The convention sounds like a blast! Enjoy your day.
You should consider getting a claw machine filled with plushies, games, and even a console as prizes. You'd be surprised at how much money it could bring in.
That's a sweet idea! I suck at claw machines but I love playing them (I never win anything sadly). Giving away consoles as a prize would definitely boost claw machine sales!
I LOVE Star Wars Episode 1. Jar Jar aside, it just had too much other stuff that was so awesome. The whole act when they were on Tattooine, the pod racing, Qui Gon Jin, Maul, and the lightsaber fights! People like to conveniently forget that Episode 1 was were the movies finally kicked up lightsaber fights a few notches and we get proper swordsmen duels out of them now. Congrats on scoring the Episode 1 poster. It's really awesome and will make a FINE addition to the shop's layout. I've got to find myself an excuse and method of heading out your way someday and checking out your game shop. It truly is becoming a master piece.
I cried when you mentioned the POG announcement 😮😢, I wish I was going, and is Phoenix ( Caleb) Resale gonna document your convention like he did with Pixel Squad, he's good
Love the idea of the first ever Pogs world Championships happening at the first ever RetroFest (2024). Wish I lived close enough (or had the time/money to make the trip). Great job so far!
The amazing, passionate people who love retro are the reason the gaming community will survive. Modern gaming? Creative and talented devs replaced by cynical accountants and execs. Real gamers replaced by quick-insta-fame-fake-gurus. By people who, back in the day, considered anyone of us who was computer savvy or a gamer, or had a Myspace profile to be 'a loser'. Now they use our tech to make sick money, share their vanity and destroy self-esteem of others. I recently made a deep dive video about X360 as the last great generation, I don't want to be right... Great video as always.
I resonate with your statement after how bad the last Playstation first party game Concord was. What happened to new ideas and zany fun titles. Everything now is just like a quick cashout.
Hey Rick I appreciate what you’re doing for the retro gaming community. Hosting events like this does so much more for the gaming scene then most people understand. YOU REPRESENT ALL OF US BROTHER, thank you! *edit* Christina stay taking dubs. Make sure you pay that woman!!
All those large old consoles and I'm sitting here with my 25 favorite games of all-time playing them portably on my OLED Switch loving digital purchases. 😊
Looks like I made it into a retro Rick video in the background, glad I was able to come in and check out the store on Thursday. thanks for selling me the space invaders arcade1up machine
I have that Star Wars E1 banner and the E3 banner in the Retro Arcade inside of my retro shop, Budget PC and Retro Games in Eldon MO. Interesting side note: that banner features a shot never used in the movie. In the movie his "Vader" shadow is shown on the side of the hut.
Man, you have some SERIOUS overhead expenses!!! The building lease/rent, insurance, taxes, full-time employees, the cost of goods, utilities, etc., etc. Also, you always seem so happy - you ever get stressed-out? Anyway, love the content and your channel!
favorite 90s snack Butterfinger bbs and a good ol mtndew was a mellow yellow guy after days of thunder till they changed the formula . loved anything tmnt food miss the chef Boyardee ( crazy history on that stuff)
My Grandfather used to take me out on the ocean fishing either on his boat or the pier. No matter how we fished, we would always make sure to have our 3D Doritos with us.
I remember a news story from some years ago about one of the local game stores in my town. A rival game store owner was guilty of defrauding them by stealing games and pawning them at his store. The "you reap what you sow" came back on him when he got arrested for sexual assault of a minor.
As I live in Australia I feel privileged to have seen great singer 4 times 2x great white (I believe last great white show at rock in America)and 2 x solo at the whiskey hands down the best singer I’ve ever seen hands down
Okay I'm not gonna say it's my *FAVORITE* 90s snack, but I just wanted to see if anyone else ate or knew about it: Like Goldfish in almost every way except shape (and lacked a little of the taste quality, IMO), did anyone else eat "Sports" (the chips)?
Dunkaroos were pretty good but I think my favorite 90s snack was "PB crisps" it was some peanut butter wafer things that were amazing Planters made them I have no idea why they stopped making them everyone I know that tried them loved them
As a kid that grew up with the original Star Wars films I never liked the prequels but the latest films have taken the slot of most hated editions of the Star Wars franchise, I would recommend the clone wars and rebels and bad batch cartoons though, they are really good.
Ah man that's so sad to hear that you are quitting! I thought the store looked like it was busy... isn't it too soon after putting in all that work just to quit now?
My favorite 90’s snacks were Butterfingers, Pizza flavored Combos, Bagel Bites, Pizza rolls, Butterfingers, Cheetos, Cool Ranch Doritos, Big Red Soda, Surge, and Doctor Pepper

POGS!! I've been a long time subscriber to the main channel to the point where I remember one of the earliest videos is Rick showing some kids what POGS were and how you play and collect them. The convention sounds like a blast! Enjoy your day.

Wanna buy some vintage POGs? Found a bunch of mine from childhood recently
The Production on that world champ commercial! LOL SO good
Rick never fails to click bait with his thumbnails
That's why I'm here. 🤣
Wah wah wah
Commenters never fail with their beta cringe
yeah, it gets pathetic at times. His content is good, he shouldn't rely on click baiting.
Welcome to RUclips
Seeing the signs is getting me so excited for the convention! I’m flying in from England for this 😁
Christina hope your feeling good and enjoying life!💖🤗
That mini trailer was absolutely amazing!!!! Such quality, especially Michael!!! What an awesome addition 👏 👌 ❤
I’m more stoked for the Pogs competition then I should be.
Nice work on that POGS trailer announcement, that was awesome!
You should consider getting a claw machine filled with plushies, games, and even a console as prizes. You'd be surprised at how much money it could bring in.
Claw machines do very well. I have 5 in my arcade.
What is your definition of fair? You can program the odds and everyone playing knows the house always wins.@@Drewkhat
@@Drewkhat Just get better at it.
That's a sweet idea! I suck at claw machines but I love playing them (I never win anything sadly). Giving away consoles as a prize would definitely boost claw machine sales!
Cool idea, imagine if you attached gift cards to the store to the plush ❣️
I LOVE Star Wars Episode 1. Jar Jar aside, it just had too much other stuff that was so awesome.
LOVE the Episode 1 poster. Very under rated trilogy...
That Pog promo video is a new level of nerdome
An official POG tournament is probably the coolest thing ever.
Missed opportunity at 7:30. "In 'banner' mode" without a reference to the Hulk statue behind you.
Man, you have some SERIOUS overhead expenses!!! The building lease/rent, insurance, taxes, full-time employees, the cost of goods, utilities, etc., etc. Also, you always seem so happy - you ever get stressed-out? Anyway, love the content and your channel!

Okay I'm not gonna say it's my *FAVORITE* 90s snack, but I just wanted to see if anyone else ate or knew about it:
