Its honestly a terrible idea. People don't think these things through properly, because the problem is, there are always going to be cases where it is later on discovered they were innocent, but you can't take it back, and its the same problem with capital punishment and is one of the key reasons most countries around the world do not have it. No justice system is perfect, and especially with sensitive cases like this, there is a clear tendency to despise and be prejudiced against the accused because of the nature of the offense... i mean we are seeing it repeated time and again in the news with these high profile men, and because we don't like them, they are having verdicts against them with basically zero real evidence.

I should clarify, i do think it is a just punishment... i just DO NOT trust the justice system to wield it.
