Omg the ladies are going to love him. I have a problem with sewing straight too, especially when I have big and heavy pieces that pull so I put down some masking tape on the machine and then took a self adhesive foam sheet and made cut a little piece of it and stick it on top of the masking tape at whatever the seam allowance is suppose to be and use it as a guide to push the fabric up against. Masking tape won't leave much, if any, residue behind and your foam piece can be repositioned over and over again. :)

Finished folding and ironing all of the fat quarters and now I will cut the 10" strips and then the random strips and be ready to sew tomorrow. Thanks for a quick and easy tutorial.

I think it's so great that men and women learn to sew because it's such a powerful skill to have. You can really use it to make your home beautiful, and the quilting world is such a wonderful place to be. Congratulations! I love this sewn with patterned fabrics. I think I'm going to use this pattern with some new fabric I just bought from -- the Missouri Star Quilt Company!
