Hey guys! This awesome inexpensive pre built race drone is only $89 USD! I said $103 but it's actually cheaper. Crazy! It's my favorite drone now. It flys so smooth and is fast on 3s but can do 4s too! It's pre built just add a receiver and is very much like the Eachine Tyro79. The beauty is it's heavy enough to fly in some wind but still under the 250 gram rule for no drone license. Link to grab one yourself is in the description. 😃
Its my favourite drone so far but I havent cracked my Iflight Chimera out of the box yet...lol. For the price of $89 you get a great flying and fast quad with this Darwin 79. The quality looks pretty good.

Hi John. Yeah so far its been a really smooth and fast quad. So far its my favourite of my fleet. I want to see how it compares to my newly built Tyro 79. For the money though this quad is amazing.

Yeah I'm going to try a Foxeer Lollipop on it and see how it is. My Eachine 800d goggles have the stock antennas too. I did have a crash on grass since this vid and so far so good...nothing broke yet.
@@KaizerTest I use Foxeer lollys, and I love 'em. Might need to get one, then... Recently got into 4s 3", and it is a blast. Loads of power compared to the smaller 2s stuff.

@@55amps So if you already have the Flysky i6 or i6x then I recommend the Oversky XR602T-A 14CH which may be harder to find. On Banggood they are restocking. This one has the best range and is the smallest for Flysky. BUT I have also used the Flysky A8S with success. This Darwin 79 quad uses an included wire with plugs on each end for the receiver and this Flysky A8S uses a plug. Also the Darwin 79's flight controller is setup from the factor for SBUS receivers. The Flysky A8S will do both IBUS and SBUS and can be switched by holding in the button on the receiver after you have bound it to the transmitter. The Darwin flight controller has the ability to use IBUS or SBUS but there are 3 tiny pads in which you bridge one pair or the other pair depending on if you want SUBS or IBUS. From the factory it comes ready for SBUS since it is a more common protocol than IBUS. So its just easier to use a receiver that does IBUS and is plug and play. You will however need to rearrange the wire pins on the receiver plug. Its not too hard but you need to pay attention to the wire order. With the oversky receiver I mentioned earlier it will do sbus as well but you will need to solder the wires to the pads on the receiver. For the more common Flysky A8S receiver it can be purchased very cheap on Amazon amzn.to/3JZCNci Any other questions feel free to ask me. 🍺🍺
@@KaizerTest I was thinking of getting me a Darwin quad. But I’m new to this hobby and I know very little . So if I use my A8S do I have to solder any wires? Or just plug it and use sbus protocol ?
@@55amps I was new only last year in the spring. At first it's very intimidating even for me, a person that was into building RC cars since 1980...lol. I was never a person that could solder great but now I can solder wires to the smallest pin head sized flight controller pads. That being said you don't need to learn that to enjoy the hobby but getting a soldering iron and lighted magnifying glass and learning to solder is a benefit. I found that using flux and pre-tinning the pad and the wire works for me. Then all I do is simply hold the wire to the pad and apply a few seconds of heat. The Darwin quad is great because all you really need to do is connect an SBUS receiver with the supplied wire harness, bind the receiver and then connect to your computer and a free program called Betaflight. There are some things you need to be cautious of. For one I think you will need to remove the pins from one end of the receiver harness and make sure they are in the correct order. It is quite simple but you need a delicate hand to do it. There is a 5v power wire, Ground and the SBUS signal wire. Then It's a matter of setting it up on Betaflight which isn't too hard. One of the best groups EVER for new race quad pilots is BEGINNER TO FPV on FACEBOOK. I got onto it about a month after I started. I wish I had found it earlier. And of course you can ask me here or even on Facebook. You can contact me on Facebook messenger facebook.com/profile.php?id=100040692581319 But to answer your question the FSA8S will plug into the Darwin receiver harness but like I said you will have to remove the wires from the receiver end and get them in the correct order. I think the Darwin 79 comes with the Flight controller board diagram or I might have printed it off from their website. Either way it's not too difficult. The learning curve at the very beginning is a little high with race drones but if you go to that group and watch youtube vids you can do it all pretty much.
