      If you dont like your neighbors, this is definitely one way to get rid of then, if you do this all day long..:-)))

    Greatest thing is that it is built on the experiences by Dave C and the community around it. This is the way this hobby needs to go, people like Dave C, Nurk, Kabab shooting out insane or great ideas and the manufacturers taking the time and effort to listen and bring it out to us making it easy to source the right things. Had to come back here because I’m on the third or fourth set of Flywoo electronics for this thing and I’m over it at this point. The quad is surprisingly good for a spindly little thing but it’s under powered out of the box and the only bigger ESC that I have found that fits is also Flywoos... and I’ve had two die on me over the last five months, neither of them in the air... is that a good thing? That they die on the bench? I guess it’s spared me a couple broken GoPros, but it’s been the least reliable of my five quads. Last time I jump on RUclips FPV hype machine!

    As for GPS, the v1 of these quads, esp the DJI version, had a problem with poor performance with the GPS receiver.
    The v2 addresses this with added shielding and an upgraded GPS unit. You can also add shielding yourself.

    its cool to see it fly on a little under spec battery... all the other review have it running on the 45 dollar lilo-cell which is cool, but its nice to see what it does on less power.
    its also nice to think you could fly more casually with a cheap 550mah and get a little more aggressive when just chilling in a park... maybe swap the 4" 2 blade props for some 3.5" three blade props to get some more "freestyle" performance without doing too much to it.

    apart from the obvious and from everything I've researched there are 4 main factors to increasing flight time and they are (in no specific order), higher voltage, larger props, greater pitch, lower kv / more torque... Maybe you can use those findings to your advantage in a future build

    Imagine using this during airsoft games for Recon. Hell imagine making a program that marks your targets and sends it have to a heads up display to your team. It'd be like something from Ghost Recon.

    I would like to see a competition where there's a set list of features such as digital video, RTH, and less than 250 g using the same battery specification. The goal would be flight time and distance. I think this product could be as popular as the concept of Kabab's toothpick. I'm not good at freestyle or racing but I would definitely like to be able to see things and go places but not have the government breath down my neck.

    • @highwaymen1237
      @highwaymen1237 4 года назад +1

      @@4DCResinSmoker I don't disagree that it's possible to track it and record it, but the chances that the FCC is sitting there ready for you to fly is a de minimis probability. People break the rules in the Ham radio Community all the time and never get caught. The FCC is trying to go after HobbyKing now with the lawsuit for selling analog transmitters. They will probably go after banggood next. Digital from DJI is legal. It's only twice the price of a good analog system. if they find my quad 3 miles away from where I'm flying I had a fly away. Or I was flying 400 feet away and I lost my quad and my Observer went home for lunch. As they say never talk to the police.

    dude, I'm from Indiana too, not too far just in the northeast, and found this whole like... fpv world and I'm just so flabbergasted by the amount of information that is out there and it is rather overwhelming lol. I really hope once I get to have a job again, I can get myself into the fpv world and just have fun buzzing around. It's something that looks so cool, but I'm like... nervous bout even flying the thing lol. ik there are controllers and simulators but I just am unsure bout the information if there's like... each controller that fits for specific quads and how would I know which one goes to which if I get into it. I would totally not mind learning indoors with a whoop in the case that I can't just fly around outside. gah that is exciting though to see... nice vid man!

    If the motors kv are not too low to lift the quad with voltage down to 2.7v per cell then just strap a 3s 3000mah 18650 li-ion, and you should get around the maximum flight time possible with this amazing setup. My personal bet is that you could get for sure more than 35minutes and maybe even more than 40minutes if you are conservative on the throttle.

    • @dividingbyzerofpv6748
      @dividingbyzerofpv6748 4 года назад +1

      18650s sag FAST once you get below 3v per cell.
      I have flown my DaveC 4in on a 3s VTC6A 18640 pack with 3700kv motors and 3.5in Triblades for 20min landing at 3.2v per cell.
      The performance of 18650s on a quad when below 3v is very noticeable. I have my lowesr voltage set to like 2.5v per cell and my warning set at 2.8v per cell. I generally try to be on the ground shortly after hitting 3v per cell while flying.
      This flywoo quad appears to have 2750kv motors which is likely too low for good 3s performance.

    • @sebastienburdin5390
      @sebastienburdin5390 4 года назад

      @@dividingbyzerofpv6748 interesting feedback, I didnt know how badly they can sag under 3v as I have only been studying this application in theory so far.
      That being said I still think it is doable to go over 35minutes on 3s if you re conservative on the throttle. In davec latest video, he managed a 30 minutes flight on a 3s liion despite using stock explorer with kv too low for optimal performance on 3s.
      I believe that with higher kv version of those new flywoo motors he could get much closer to those 35 minutes.
      Not sure if you were using those new flywoo 1404 motors in your flight, but looking at the thrusts tests they seem to be on a yet unreached level of efficiency for 1404. I ve never seen so high numbers in the category.
      You should give them a try if you can.

      I have hit 23min on 6s2p LithiumIon. Look at the VTC6A and VTC5D cells for around 15amps continuous and 30 amps burst. In parallel you can hit 30amps cont and 60-70amps burst. My 7in is smooth as silk on 2806.5 1300kv motors and 6s2p cruising around 15amps at 40mph the entire time. My 10in almost rips on the 6s2p pack and gets 8-9min just to 3.6v per cell.
