VH"s brilliance was in the concept he presented...wild...unchained...untamed... there are no mistakes that a dive bomb, a trill, a diving trill, a whammy-pulled harmonic pick-squeal , or an abbreviated legato into staccato run cannot weave into the fabric of the music! His asymmetric style, which he pioneered and implemented, left little to no purchase for the critics to desecrate with their talons.. I wish he did more straight up instrumentals...because, when he did...they were wildly, unfettered...awesome!
Hey super Cooper! Just a quick comment. You're a supreme talent and gifted instructor. I just want to encourage you and say how enjoyable and inspiring your vids are. May Holy FATHER BLESS you and your family with health prosperity and peace! Much love!
Cameron - this is absolute quality thank you so much for posting and sharing. Seeing this the first time back on a grainy VHS in the 90's blew my mind (and still does). Just got to find the time to get practising!
Cameron! You continue to blow my mind! Insane how accurate you sound. Got the notification about this lesson and quickly stopped what I was doing to watch. Can't wait to try it! Also looking forward to that release!
So damn fluid! And he is a good teacher as well. As far as RUclips goes, I have learned more from Cameron than any other subscribed channels. I do appreciate his 'tablature-speak' too by the way. Many thanks!
You’re the man Cameron! Thanks!! I have the stealth and ivory WG Specials. I’m having a hard time not purchasing this Chlorine Burst. I’ve resisted to this point, but every time I see you with that guitar……..damn🔥
Nice to see you using the Wolfgang Special, because I'm about to buy one (but also still deciding between it vs the 5150 standard vs Charvel Pro mod DK24....). Great video as always!
I don’t know if I will ever be able to trill or tremolo pick that fast but I will give it a try… it’s bad enough I’ve been working on the Randy Rhodes licks the past few months and now I’ve got this to contend with. Attempting Eddie licks always scared me but I think it’s time to get going.
Awesome! I love these videos! I'd definitely appreciate some more Nuno and maybe George Lynch or Warren Demartini. Also best of luck selling that beauty of a Charvel
Hey Cameron, was wondering if you could do a breakdown of a really cool sort of unknown Eddie solo. It comes from the unreleased song called “main squeeze” you can find on RUclips. The solo in that song is in my opinion one of his finest, I think you’d really enjoy it. Thanks for the content!
@@CameronCoopersomething that ive had a problem with for a while is finding that niche with hand position on the fretboard where its easy to solo faster, ive hit a barrier in the skill curve and i simple dont know how to get past it to pick up speed
@@CameronCoopersorry to waste your time like this but i must admit im somewhat envious in how easily you do Pentatonic stuff. My speed gets sloppy past a certain point and id love any advice you could give
@@stank7200 I've not seen you play but I'll put some tips here and please take from them what you will. With pentatonic stuff, I'd advise not to barre your index finger across. It can be really beneficial if you plan on staying on the top 2 strings for a moment but make it a habit of allowing your index finger to jump from one string to the next. When playing, don't press too hard. A lot of people slow themselves down by pressing really hard for no reason. If hammering on, press down with bare minimum needed to achieve the note you're after. No more no less. Sometimes picking less can aid speed too. Certain licks from players like Steve Vai really helped boost my playing within the pentatonic because it required a more dexterous approach which allowed me to sound a little more fluid. Once I teamed that with a little more picking, the returns came a lot faster.

5150 percent incredible
I am going to study this video until my retinas begin to burn... then study it some more.
Thank you, Cameron!

Cam, all the best with your VH course.. i'll be getting that when its out!!
Nice! Thanks, Bud. This vid is going straight to my ‘Lessons’ folder.
Be well.
Been waiting a long time for this. Thank you so much.

Thank you for this! I wore out my LWOAN vhs trying to learn so many parts of this. So inspired!
Thank you so much Cameron for breaking down these licks that we all love so much once again you're is phenomenal and you get better with time brother
Ridiculously great player you are right there.

Great video, Thanks Cameron , never cease to execute the RIFFS!!!!🤘🤘🤘
Yes dude...love this...its tabbed by hand on a guitar forum somewhere
I wouldn't know. It's easier for me to listen or watch it.
Great video mate, and looking forward to the Van Halen course, nice one 👍🤘

'Tablature speak' i like that. Since I don't make tabs, I'd have nothing else to say in my break downs aha
Wow that's some playing.. To be able to reproduce the worlds best live (rock) guitar solo is quite a feat, nicely done!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!
Damn , licks for the legendary Live Eruption solo . Always wanted to learn some stuff from this live . Thx
It’s videos like this that make me understand why I consider myself a rhythm guitarist
Don't worry, there's much more work for a rhythm guitarist than a lousy lead player.

Sammy should have called you.
Hopefully part 2 - with the harmonic slap 'Mean Streets"section.
That would be nice.
Great video - nice one
Yes, the Mean Street section! That’s what we want
Super

Cameron im begging you to make a video about improving the economy of motion with your index finger to do scales / solos faster
What would I teach in that video though?

What kind of pickups are in that Wolfgang?

Wolfgang stock pickups

Always flexing! SMH
The fact that I can teach it is not flexing.
