I will forever be greatful for Crysis. This series gave me the Crysis 2 Hans Zimmer theme. Probably my favourite piece of videogame music. Gives me chills watching the opening credits to that game.
Nanosuit Ninja, watch his gameplay and you’ll see why the original Crysis is the best one. It wasn’t until I watched his gameplay that I realized what the suit was capable of.
This is awesome! I was just thinking, is Karak gonna review the Crysis Remastered Trilogy? I wonder what he thinks of it ... and lo and behold this video was in my subscription box!
So hyped to play crysis 2 remastered. I know it’s not a popular opinion but 2 was my favorite and I have only played it on console so this is huge for me 😊
I never played 1 or 2 but I absolutely loved Crysis 3. It was the first game I played as soon as I got back from the twilight zone of deployment so it kinda blew me away. I think I will get the remasters so I can experience 1 and 2.
There aren't enough games like this where you can feel so powerful in a real world setting(minus the aliens) it feels so freaking badass to switch between speed, strength and armour depending on your needs. I honestly prefer that to just being an all powerful badass constantly like the Doom Slayer. I just wish there was a bit more to do in these games with those powers, it feels like the strength in particular doesn't get a lot of love. Especially how throwing like one barrel drains all your energy. Still though, they really make you feel like a super solider who's strong but not too strong for all the fun and tension to be drained out of it.
I think many people don't bring up Crysis as one of the greats because for years many people couldn't run the game and didn't play it until years later or never went back for it. I myself didn't play Crysis 1 and 2 until probably 2008 or 2009. Many of my friends just passed on the game completely they couldn't run it and usually just play the new game of the month. Hopefully the remasters bring in a whole bunch of new Crysis fans because these games are great and deserve to be remembered as more than a benchmark.
I was actually playing Crysis on Switch when I saw this video come up. Ive been debating on getting 2 and 3 on the Switch as I never finished 3 on the 360 back in the day.
Wishing they included the expansion to the original crisis I prefer crisis warhead only because not having to pick up weapons makes it that much better
I only played crysis 2 on I think one of those xbox consoles, I can't remember. Been searching for a game that memorable. It was such a good game to me. The multiplayer made it even more awesome. It was a real challenge. The only fps I was never that great at in multiplayer and I respected that. Gonna definitely cop this for the remastered and the others as well
I remember crysis 2 being one of the first games I was beyond hyped for, counting down the days when it would release. Ever since I saw the first tech demo gameplay showcase and the cover article for game informer my jaw dropped. Of course the switch from og xbox to 360 blew my mind as well. But crysis 2 looks SO much better than almost everything else out at the time. I wish games would go back to innovating the same way we got mid xbox 360/ps3 generation. Where they actually take the interactivity of the game world to new levels. It almost seems like we've regressed in many ways, they prioratize raw graphics/textures/poly counts.. but when it comes to the GAMEPLAY and how the game world reacts to you, it feels sorely lacking. I still find it crazy that fear, a game from 15 years ago has better more realistic AI than 98 percent of games that come out nowadays.
Put out the same game reskinned every year and sell store bundles that cost as much as the game if not more, much easier and very profitable unfortunately.
I love all four Crysis games. One of the few games that call you a super soldier and you feel like you are one. I love Halo but a Spartan is hardly anything special when it comes to the gameplay.
Thats always been my issue with Halo. Love the story, love the lore, love the writing, love the concept of Spartans, but never feel as if the gameplay makes you FEEL like a supersoldier.
Awhile ago I bought Crysis remastered for the ps4 and I didn’t last more than an hour before a quit. So after your review I bought crysis 2 for the Xbox s and I am having a blast! Thanks for the review!
I absolutely loved Crysis 2! I can't wait for it to launch on steam. Definitely my favourite multiplayer game on 360 besides GTA IV and Halo 3. I just wish they made the remaster with multiplayer 😩
I do like Crysis 2 and 3 more than 1 because they are both more tactical in the way you play, and stealth in 2 and 3 is miles better than on the first game, don't take me wrong I love the original but I love their sequels even more
These games were a gem and it's sad it didn't get the full recognition it should have got. Glad to see it coming back. Let's if it makes new fans to the Crysis universe.
I was almost at the point of abandonment but this is truly an unique review because there is passion here and so on to PC purchase. i'm an Nintendo Switch Gamer primarily lol but PC is KING. Thanks for this awesome review.
I think the gaming industry is now focused (delusionally) on battlegrounds and Fortnite type games that bank and hope for in-Game purchases to boost profits - it’s become so Esport influenced where that’s all it tries to cater to. Remastered games are for people who enjoy gaming rather than , “E-Athletes” who see it as strict competition
Word is that certain media outlets were allowed by Crytek to post videos on the remasters ahead of the embargo for everyone else. Also Crytek gave outlets review guidelines about the do's and dont's in the reviews. Is this true? Did ACG get preferential treatment by Crytek?
Only reason I bought this. PC enthusiast, Rtx 3090, Ryzen 5900X. 2 and 3 use the hardware perfectly (For crysis 3 you need to go to nvidia panel and set vsync to "Fast" to optimise your gpu usage). For crysis 1 remastered, the same issue that plagued the original game persists. Low gpu usage regardless of settings as it does not ultilise the CPU well....to my knowledge It only makes use of 1 or 2 cores, causing a bottleneck.
Why do you think Crysis games are so polarizing? My best guess is that the focus on graphics & performance cause a recoil reaction from people who don't want those elements overemphasized.
I think a really big factor is the time when they released too. Whether or not you like Crysis 2, it’s a very different game from Crysis 1. Crysis 1’s emphasis was on a big open sandbox to let you approach things how you want and experiment. Crysis 2 was more of a linear corridor shooter, and then Crysis 3 was sort of a poor mixture of the two. Not to say that any of those design goals are better than the other, but my point is that if you loved Crysis 1 because of that sandbox then I could understand how Crysis 2 would be a real disappointment
I'm sad multiplayer isn't included, I absolutely loved Crysis 2 multiplayer and always wished it had the kind of fame that COD had at the time bc I found this game just as fun if not more
I’m actually super sad the multiplayer isn’t included. Crysis had an amazing multiplayer in my opinion. It felt super unique. And criminally underrated
I love these games. The stealth is excellent. You have to plan your routes, be tactic. When i play stealth, i always uncloak before pulling the trigger and then switch back to stealth. Works really good.
I love the Crysis franchise and I'm a but proud since Crytek is a German developer in Frankfurt close to where I live. I was always blown away by these games and loved the power fantasy amd versatility of the suit. I also loved the weapon mod system which was now implemented in Battlefield 2042. The story isn't the best but the Gameplay is king. Too bad there is no multiplayer but hopefully the remaster is an indicator for a Crysis 4
Wish we could get a remake. Crysis 1 was supposed to be clearly longer, because just when the story starts it literally ends. There's also a big gap between 2 and 3 that we only ever get to read about and not see.
@@Sithplayer It's in the Playstation store on sale for 21 a piece for 2 and 3 if you have PS Plus . Or 50 for the trilogy. I don't care about the 10 dollars, but I'm like if it's not good why buy it.

@@fastica That dosen't make sense.. you like when they strip away features from games that were originally included? gamers are impossible to please
I will never forget seeing this game running on my buddy’s monster gaming PC rig back in the day. Absolutely need to see it running on Switch!
I can hear my cooler screaming on my E7500 and GTS 250. Haha.
On switch it plays and looks like shit. But so does doom eternal. To each his own.
Its great to see all the Crysis games getting some love. Although the first game's sandbox is still my favorite, I still like Crysis 2's campaign which felt like Half Life 2.
Crysis 2 is still an all-timer for me. What a great game. Best soundtrack of the era, IMO.
I remember getting a 9800 GTX+ and playing the original Crysis when I was younger, man did that ever blow me away!
It just feels so wholesome when Karak is happy and excited about a game hahah
never played crisis before, hyped to get into the trilogy with the remasters :)
Devs: Wanna go to Tahiti for research?
Dutch Van Der Linde: Yes
If I didn't already have Alan Wake, Metroid Dread, Diablo 2, and RE4 VR soon, this would be a must buy given your recommendation. Will definitely keep an eye on it though once my backlog gets cleared up.
I will forever be greatful for Crysis. This series gave me the Crysis 2 Hans Zimmer theme. Probably my favourite piece of videogame music. Gives me chills watching the opening credits to that game.
I missed out on the Crysis games with the exception of the Crysis 3 beta, which I loved. I'm so excited to get my hands on this!
Your in for a treat..My fav is Crisis 2
Same here. Part 1 doesn't look all that interesting though. Someone tell me if I'm wrong on that.
@@FJTabb it was really only interesting to me to see the back story of Prophet and the aliens.
Bro I love YOU! You cover EXACTLY what everyone wants covered EVEN these Old gems. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Nanosuit Ninja, watch his gameplay and you’ll see why the original Crysis is the best one. It wasn’t until I watched his gameplay that I realized what the suit was capable of.
Already looks like a better deal than Far Cry 6
I've been on the fence with this, having never played the series. After your review, I'm in. Thank you for an honest opinion.
I didn't even know this was a thing. I was just thinking last week id love it if they remastered Crysis 2.
A shame it didn't include a Remaster of Crysis: Warhead.
This is awesome! I was just thinking, is Karak gonna review the Crysis Remastered Trilogy? I wonder what he thinks of it ... and lo and behold this video was in my subscription box!
Being able to play these games on switch, even locked to 30 fps its so cool playing them on the go.
Crysis Remastered for the Switch: Locked at a solid 10 fps. lol!
@@tomikaze777 You have no idea what you are talking about, the switch ports are a technical marvel.
One of the best story campaigns and one of my favorite
So hyped to play crysis 2 remastered. I know it’s not a popular opinion but 2 was my favorite and I have only played it on console so this is huge for me 😊
I never played 1 or 2 but I absolutely loved Crysis 3. It was the first game I played as soon as I got back from the twilight zone of deployment so it kinda blew me away. I think I will get the remasters so I can experience 1 and 2.
Thank you for your service.
2 was my favorite!
Crysis 2 had great multiplayer, especially the rooftop map, sad to see they aren't releasing that.
That was the best map ever!! I miss that multiplayer.
Gonna definitely cop this for the remastered and the others as well
I don't play multiplayer so i love older games that focused on story
I wanna play this on my PS5!
@Truth Seeker yeah just stfu man. Without consoles PC woudn't even be where they at 🤦🏻
@Truth Seeker 🥱🥱🥱
I'm super bummed they left out the multiplayer. IMHO it was one of the most underrated multiplayer games of all time
I remember crysis 2 being one of the first games I was beyond hyped for, counting down the days when it would release.
And it’s physics engine
It’s so sad when quality games like these gets undervalued in the limelight of COD
Put out the same game reskinned every year and sell store bundles that cost as much as the game if not more, much easier and very profitable unfortunately.
You forgot to mention that Crysis Warhead is not remastered and not included.
Warhead is absurd. It's only good for the amazing train scene. Its downright painful otherwise
@@danielhathaway1498 It's an expansion. It's not awful.
Crysis and Titanfall….. GOATs
I never played the trilogy before I'm excited
I love all four Crysis games. One of the few games that call you a super soldier and you feel like you are one. I love Halo but a Spartan is hardly anything special when it comes to the gameplay.
Thats always been my issue with Halo. Love the story, love the lore, love the writing, love the concept of Spartans, but never feel as if the gameplay makes you FEEL like a supersoldier.
Four? You mean the expansion for the 1st?
@@greggblack8205 Yessir. Warhead could be played as a stand-alone so I count it as a separate game.
@@DigitalFulcrum but warhead wasnt included on this remaster or was it?
Awhile ago I bought Crysis remastered for the ps4 and I didn’t last more than an hour before a quit. So after your review I bought crysis 2 for the Xbox s and I am having a blast! Thanks for the review!
Why didn't you like the first one
I absolutely loved Crysis 2! I can't wait for it to launch on steam.
Definitely my favourite multiplayer game on 360 besides GTA IV and Halo 3.
I just wish they made the remaster with multiplayer 😩
Second is my favorite, sound, suit upgrades, different ways to take out enemies and mystery is freakin awesome.
Got the Remaster included when I bought my new PC 👌 can't wait to try it
I do like Crysis 2 and 3 more than 1 because they are both more tactical in the way you play, and stealth in 2 and 3 is miles better than on the first game, don't take me wrong I love the original but I love their sequels even more
These games were a gem and it's sad it didn't get the full recognition it should have got. Glad to see it coming back. Let's if it makes new fans to the Crysis universe.
Maybe . I had trouble finding it. I searched for updates about the first remaster and stumbled upon the trilogy by accident.
It would've gotten more recognition if more than a handful of people could actually run it on their pc setup lol
I was almost at the point of abandonment but this is truly an unique review because there is passion here and so on to PC purchase. i'm an Nintendo Switch Gamer primarily lol but PC is KING. Thanks for this awesome review.
Love the Crysis franchise! My personal favorite is 3 because of how it leans in to the power fantasy of the NanoSuit.
I didn't even know there was a Remaster. Thanks for bringing this to my attention
I love your videos but love those little facts that you through around as well.
Psycho is like some kinda combo of Jason Statham and Michael Bisping.
Loved the crysis games, multiplayer was enjoyable too for me
I've always been a fan of the Crysis games. I have always felt they were underrated. Thanks for the review!
I didn’t know that they were polarizing.
This wasn’t on my radar but I am definitely picking this up now.
I'm sad multiplayer isn't included, I absolutely loved Crysis 2 multiplayer and always wished it had the kind of fame that COD had at the time bc I found this game just as fun if not more
I played the OG trilogy on a GTX 960 back in the day, now I get to play them all on a 3090 and see it in it's full glory
“The Goldberg of characters”
I understood that reference
I’m actually super sad the multiplayer isn’t included. Crysis had an amazing multiplayer in my opinion. It felt super unique. And criminally underrated
I thought it was hell of a lotta fun too regardless of its lack of depth
I love these games. The stealth is excellent. You have to plan your routes, be tactic. When i play stealth, i always uncloak before pulling the trigger and then switch back to stealth. Works really good.
Spot on
as have loved the trilogy for a long time. Keep up the great work…. 😁👍🏼
Thanks to this awesome review, I just bought the Remastered Trilogy!
glad I can finally play these games without my PC blowing up
Wish we could get a remake. Crysis 1 was supposed to be clearly longer, because just when the story starts it literally ends. There's also a big gap between 2 and 3 that we only ever get to read about and not see.
I liked the Multiplayer for 1 and 2.
If you like 1st person tactical shooting games and never played Crysis games, you should try them out. Really fun.
Crysis is one of the best single player games ever made!
Great video bro...!
Started with 2 and eventually played them all. Can’t wait to do it again
PlayStation nation?
Was part 1 worth buying?
@@FJTabb I think so. But if they’re releasing a trilogy pack I’d wait till that drops

@@Sithplayer It's in the Playstation store on sale for 21 a piece for 2 and 3 if you have PS Plus . Or 50 for the trilogy. I don't care about the 10 dollars, but I'm like if it's not good why buy it.
that Denuvo tho. Killed this game right there.
