OK Josh, you can stabilize the tree by installing two hook eye screws one in each window frame and run a piece of wire between each hook and wrapped around the tree's trunk. That will help incase the cat gets into it.. BTW, Josh, you looking great with star on your head. hehe
Love the Tree guys ... SUGGESTION ... If you want to make the Tree Skirt look fuller Crumple up the Newspaper and then place the Tree Skirt on top of the Newspaper around the Tree. You can also use small boxes for height.
My pops used to get tall trees, 12-16 feet. He would sometimes drill holes in the trunk to screw in the bolts to hold up the tree. We also would add an old copper penny(pre 1982) to the water and use sugar water to feed the tree. Maybe helps?
Beautiful tree. It may seem cheap, but a tree topper has to be rather light weight otherwise it might bend the stem it's put on over. Not all Christmas trees have a central stem up at the top that's strong enough to hold something heavy.

Once upon a time the Vermont Country Store sold heavy duty galvanized tree stands. Also I bought a really nice LED star this year from Lowes that has different light choices . It has a spring clamp that attaches to the top of the tree. Wasnt $40 either. My philosophy if EFF Amazon Jeff Bozos has too much control of our economy. The quaint little stores we all love to shop in are almost all gone😢 Merry Christmas your tree is grand! ❤

After stepping on needles in the carpet, we decided on fake. What we used to do with real trees was to have a tree bag under the tree skirt. After the holidays & all the ornaments removed, we then slowly pull the bag up around the tree. Hardly any mess. Too many try to stuff it into the bag. Big mistake. Not sure where you can get a bag that size.
