Assuming you have sufficient ornaments, the tree is going to look beautiful. It already must look beautiful at night. I admire your commitment. Some years I put up my six-foot tree and some not. Then again, you guys are young, so go for it and enjoy the achievement together year after year.

Just a suggestion... if you have the lights lit before you put them on, you'd be able to get a better idea where needs lights. If you wait until after you hang the lights to turn them on, then you'll have to spend more time rearranging the strings to cover blank spots. I learnt that the hard way a looong time ago.
Hate to mention it, but read the warnings on the box. Usually it says do not connect any more than 2 or 3 strands of lights together. More than that can cause overheating of the cord and be a fire hazard. Just thought I'd mention it. Better to be safe than sorry. Read over the boxes' instructions.
Very true and I did read the box. It said each 300 bulb string pulls 0.6 amps and the fuse at the plug is rated for 3 amps, so we are still well within the limits of the design. The plug does feel warm to the touch once it's been on for a while but no hotter than my coffee and certainly not hot enough to indicate an overload. Thanks for watching!
My cat Skamper, burped on me the other night & it smelled horrible, so I used some breath fresh for cats on her & she bit me. My finger is fine & she had never bitten me before & she is over 19 yrs old. Love your tree & decor. You have a beautimous abode.

Looks awesome. Curious why you chose the older style incandescent lights instead of LED lights. The LED lights take about a tenth of the electricity of the old ones. They make really good LED Christmas lights now.
The top outlets in that room are wired into a dimmer switch on the wall, so using the incandescent bulbs allows us to dim the tree lights with the rest of the lights in the room. we use dimmable LEDs in all the other fixtures but as far as I know LED Christmas lights are not dimmable. Also most LED Christmas lights are just too bright and harsh, see @TechnologyConnections videos on the subject as he explains it best.... repeatedly.

If there's any uncertainty, it's worth the cost to bring in an electrician, or talk to someone at the local fire station. There's definitely a limit on how much daisy chained electric current those cheap flimsy wires will handle. Please be careful.
