I love the way you flocked the tree. It came out absolutely gorgous. I am going to do a 45 inch wreath following your instructions. Alicia from New mexico
Does it matter if you use the original Sno Flock, or can you use an off brand? The original can get pricey, but I also want what’s good for the environment 😊
Home Depot has beautiful flocked trees for $200-$400!! But I didn’t want to buy a new one this year, I just bought one last year.. so I’m going to stick this this idea. So thank you so much!! Everything looks amazing! I don’t really like the stuff in the cans, I notice it tends to fall off a lot. 😞 so I want to try the flocking powder stuff.
I have a 9 foot tree so I definitely have to wait until the cans of snow goes on sale.lol I Thanks for this video it’s definitely one of the best. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone 🎄☃️
Personally I wouldn't, it may make the flocking brittlle or hard. The flocking is pretty durable and if you lose a little at the end of the season, just re-flock the next year, that's all I do.
Hi we flocked our 7.5 ft. last week …. we let it dry for 2 days we would shake as much loose powder off the tree as we could …. then bringing it in the house from the garage was a big mess White powder everywhere !!!!! Every time l go to put ribbons or ornaments on the tree powder falls everywhere and the dust from it is in the air l have to wear a mask just to decorate it !!! Me personally l wouldn’t do this again and we followed box directions and watched videos after videos on how to do this …. So l hope the ones who do this have better luck with it then we did …..
Holy moly! I’m sorry you had such a bad experience! I wonder if there was something wrong with the batch of flock you got? I definitely have a little bit of flock come off when I move it but it’s mostly just on my clothes where it sticks to me. I definitely do not have to wear a mask or have it fall off when I decorate it. I’m so sorry this happened. What a pain!
Hi Daniela! I keep my tree together and just wrap it up in plastic so I’ve never taken one back apart. I would assume you would lose some. I’ve had several trees that I’ve flocked through the years and it just holds up SO well! Emily :-)
Where do you get your flocking flocking I have looked everywhere everything I everything I found is not worth buying bond and thank you for showing us how to do that it was awesome and beautiful
So, I wrap the tree with either plastic wrap(just like Saran Wrap) or I use an old sheet and tape the sheet together to transport and store it. Otherwise a little bit will float down on your floor. I’ve used my flock tree for years and it still looks great!
Could you let me know which snow flock product you used please - some of the feedback on Amazon suggests there are varying qualities? Many thanks and what a great video !
Can I use a heat gun to dry tree faster after flocking it? Also I hav seen ppl mix Elmers Glue in the Water Spray Bottle to really insure it sticks n stays is this ok to do??
Hi Angelina! I have never used a heat gun so I can’t speak to the safety of that. It is flame retardant when dry but I would be concerned about melting the fake tree or possibly catching it on fire. As far as the elmers glue, I have never tried that! Let me know how it goes if you do!
Hi, thanks for the video. I’m interested on doing this to some of my trees, I would like to know what brand of snow flock you used and where can I buy it. I’m interested in getting the larger box. Thanks
Powdered sugar.. no I’m kidding! Lol I’m looking to! I might just buy a new one.. you can get them for $200-$400 and they are really nice!! I’ve even seen smaller ones for $100 or less..
Hi Audrey! So I have flocked multiple times with the lights plugged in, but a few people did express some concerns for my safety, so now I unplug the tree until it dries. 😁
I want to do this but I’ve heard after time, the flock turns yellow when not stored in an air conditioned space which is what I do with my tree. Any suggestions ???
I think that would be fine too! The “snow” in the can adds a little more fullness but it’s not necessary. Honestly, that first coat isn’t necessary. I just like a whole lot of white. It looks fantastic with just the sno flock!
Hi Maria! So I’ve always gotten in online. Here is the link for the smaller 2 lb bag. amzn.to/36ZQtl2. I have used that in the past but knew I wanted to flock a bunch of things so I got the huge bag and that link is amzn.to/35YpVS8.
Okay, so I need your help. I didn’t think I would need or want to use the Santa snow, so I just went ahead and went in with the sno flock without using the Santa snow first. After doing the sno flock I feel like it needs something else, is it okay to go in with the Santa snow after using the sno flock?
I don’t know that I’ve tried it but it couldn’t hurt anything to give it a go! Also you could add another layer of flocking if needed. Sometimes I put it on really thick and other times I just did a light layer. Hope that helps!
Absolutely! You just might lose a little more flocking when you’re putting it together but there is no reason why you couldn’t apply it first if you wanted.
I just flocked my tree but I only used the snow spray and even though its dry it keeps coming off everytime I touch it, it's like powdery and it comes off, I was doing some research and saw that spray adhesive will make it stay on what do uou recommend because I feel like if I start decorating like that all my decorations are going to be stained in white..thank you
Oh gosh! I hate that it’s coming off on you! So this flocking powder that I used after the snow spray gets sticky when it gets wet then it dries hard. I’ve never tried spray adhesive on the snow spray but I would guess it’s worth a try!
Hi Marina! How tall is your tree? If it is a foot then a 2 lb bag will be more than enough. I think maybe the number got left out! It really depends on how much flock you like. For a five foot tree I used 3 lbs. I bought two 2 lb bags and only used half of one. For my seven foot tree and two 3 ft trees, I probably used 1/3 of my 25 lb bag.
I’m not familiar with cellulose for pools so I cannot speak to that. I’m sorry! But here is a link I found and it says they have 3 2 lb bags in stock. amzn.to/2JCfYRz
So this was a 7 ft tree and I used four cans of snow spray and maybe 1/3 of the 25 lb bag. If you are doing several things then the larger bag is worth it! I have bought the smaller one so may times and had to order more! I hope that helps. I would love to see a picture when you’re done!
Hi Alexis! I get mine off Amazon here: amzn.to/33rFbFa But you can also order directly from the website here: www.seasonsreflection.com/product-page/sno-flock-premium-the-original-snow-flocking-powder-2-pound-bag-0-90-kg. It looks like the shipping is delayed until Dec 1st, but shipping is free right now!
I think it dims the brightness overall a little but it’s replaced with like a “glow” all over the tree. I have definitely put more lights on a flocked tree but that definitely gets a little messier!
Good point Alan, maybe just keep your tree unplugged while applying the flock until it dries completely. I did not have any issues with it luckily but it never hurts to be careful!!
Hi Mary, I buy it from either Amazon or Seasons Reflections website.-www.seasonsreflection.com/buy-now. Here is the link for the 2 lb bag amzn.to/3oR1oFN or the 25 lb bag- amzn.to/34PlDvy. It has sold out on me so I got the 25 lb last year and I have plenty left to do my tree this year! Emily

Hi Colleen, I’ve gotten the flocking from two different places, the manufacturer and from amazon. The 25 lb bag is huge and I still have half of it left from last year which is wonderful because I want to flock another tree! Planning on doing this this year. This is the first video for someone to go in detail and tell how long it takes to dry. Thank you.
Best flocking video I've seen. And I've seen quite a few now. Thank you!
You are so welcome! I’m so glad I could help someone!
It’s 2024 and this helped me tremendously 🎄❄️❤.
Thank you so much for showing us how to flock a tree! It's definitely one of the best!!! Merry Christmas!
After hundreds of videos, finally!!! your video has answered all of my questions! Thank you sooooo much ❤

It makes a sparse little tree look 10 times fuller!
Yep, for sure!!
This looks great. I’m thinking of doing a light pink tree this year and flocking it myself.
That's beautiful and thats the look Ive wanted! Thanks Much

After the tree is dried after flocking, can you spray with a clear coat product to help the flocking last longer?
Personally I wouldn't, it may make the flocking brittlle or hard. The flocking is pretty durable and if you lose a little at the end of the season, just re-flock the next year, that's all I do.
Hi after flocking and letting it dry do you put gorilla spay?
Ohmygosh I live this so much!!! I’m so excited to try this!!
I’m so glad!!! I have flocked so many things over the years and I’ve never regretted it!
Looks wonderful. Great job! ❄🎄⛄❄🎄⛄❄🎄⛄❄

Thank you very much for your information how to do it. But when I have to remove and disassemble the tree, do I lose all the snow on the tree?
Hi Daniela!
I keep my tree together and just wrap it up in plastic so I’ve never taken one back apart. I would assume you would lose some. I’ve had several trees that I’ve flocked through the years and it just holds up SO well!

Will this yellow after You spray it with a sealer ?
Thank You !
Nope, it stays white! I’ve had some trees I flocked over five years ago and they are still white.
How much will a two pound bag do will it be enough for 9 foot to refresh thank you so easy
Seems like a lot of work and a messy. Afyer xmas how do you get in box? I think it's worth bying a snowy tree instead.
How messy is the tree to store after use? Do the flocking pretty much stay on or does it all fall off when taking it down and storing.
So, I wrap the tree with either plastic wrap(just like Saran Wrap) or I use an old sheet and tape the sheet together to transport and store it. Otherwise a little bit will float down on your floor. I’ve used my flock tree for years and it still looks great!

What about white spray paint from dollar general for the first coat?
I think that would be fine too! The “snow” in the can adds a little more fullness but it’s not necessary. Honestly, that first coat isn’t necessary. I just like a whole lot of white. It looks fantastic with just the sno flock!
Can you do this on a love tree?
Yep, absolutely! It can be used on any type of greenery, faux or live. It’s biodegradable so you can compost the live tree with the snow flock on it.
Thanks you so much for your reply!!!!
I see I wrote love instead of live but that’s OK -it’s kind of sweet!💗
