I mixed a little bit of crystal glitter in with the flocking (the super fine glitter), and my mini trees are so gorgeous! Thank you for all your tips and advice!
You are so awesome thank you for putting this up it is something I wanted to do Thank you so much for your instructions you are great help the trees cost too much money this way it will save me some money
I bought the SnoFlock from Amazon. Thought it might be a nice change to flock my outside tree on my porch and house wreaths and window swags. Looked good! After three weeks, I removed them and WOW! What a Mess! The flocking came off on me, on my rugs, on the floors, on everything. In my experience, it does not stay on. I watched this video and others and know it was applied correctly.
I'm sorry it didn't stay on well! I usually lose some flocking when I put everything away, but not a ton. I wonder if it was related to the tree being outdoors?
I tried flocking and it dried hard- is your flocking spongy? I want the soft fluffy spongy flocking- I also purchased it on amazon. Maybe Indid something wrong.
I have flocked outside and I've also done it inside. Either way works. Just be sure to use dropcloth or something to protect the area around your tree because it is pretty messy.
Sno-Flock has been sold out @ Amazon, indefinitely. Any thoughts on 2nd best types of flocking to use? I’m in Canada if that makes any diff. on where I’d buy it.
Yes! I just did a comparison test with a different flock and it was very similar to sno flock. I made a video of the comparison but haven't had a chance to post it yet. The other flock is available on Amazon too: amzn.to/3oDCutf
The flocking is permanent and will last indefinitely. But after a couple of years, it will start to look a bit scraggly as it is handled more and has lost some flocking from being decorated and undecorated. I have had my original DIY flocked tree for 6 years now and have added more flocking to refresh it twice. So it lasts forever but may need to be touched up every couple of years.
I happened upon this video because I looked it up after reading on a pet site that a woman lost two of her cats after they climbed up her Christmas tree that she flocked. So, if you have cats, I do not suggest this project for your tree, because it is fatal for them. I just wanted to post this because I don’t want any other cats to die from this.
I've used it on several artificial trees with no damage, including one artificial tree I've added flock to multiple times over the years. I've even used it on pre-lit trees and it hasn't caused a problem for the lights. I guess if it is an older tree with a lot of exposed, unsealed metal it could rust, but I would definitely feel confident giving it a try.

So happy to hear that. Happy holidays!

Can i flock indoors? My tree is 12 ft tall no way to bring it in after
Great information new Subscriber 🎉
Welcome to the channel! I am so happy you are here.
Is it okay to let it dry one day and come back and add more flocking?
Yes. Absolutely. It may just get a thicker coat.

Did you buy the same brand? Maybe you want to add more so it gives you that billowy look?
Did you flock outside ? Then bring it back in ? Any problems ?

@@LovelyEtc That’s great, thanks so much! 😊
Is it removable if we didn’t want a flocked tree the following year?
It isn't really supposed to be removable. You could definitely get most of it off if you wanted but it would take a bit of work and make a huge mess.
Do you know how long the flocking will last ? Also very nice video !!

Hi just use hairspray much quicker and you don't need to wait hours
Thanks for sharing. Good old hair spray has many uses!

We are a cat-free home.
Does this method work on a real tree? Do you know!?
Oh just got to that part in the video. Thanks
Glad to help!
Has anyone damaged an artificial tree using this product? I’m concerned about rust forming on the wired tree branches after using this flocking.

I ruined my tree by doing this!!! I did it EXACTLY as per the instructions, and it rusted! Bad!!! I have no idea why??
That stuff gets all over the place!
What a mess@
Yes, it can be messy but I still love it!
Read the directions. It says to spray the flick as you sift it. It pushes the flock to the branches of the tree. You are doing it the WRONG WAY
This is what worked for me, but you can definitely follow the instructions for your product.
For doing it the wrong way her tree looks pretty good. Not wrong, just different.
