    One of the best tutorials I’ve watched for any topic! Save me a lot of time and work, not having to do it myself. Very enjoyable to watch and I just love the bloopers at the end.

      Aww thank you so so much! I can't believe that the holidays are already creeping up on us again. I've had to start thinking about this years Christmas decor and projects! Oh the bloopers - sometimes I feel like I create more bloopers than actual video 😊 Thank you!

    I am in the process of flocking my tree for the second time lol. It's definitely a trial and error . I did learn that more water the better lol I put mine in my shower and use the mist spray, then sifted the snoflock.did it about 3xs, and it's really beautiful! I'm gonna seal it and add glitter !

      I just got some SnoFlock in and I'm trying it out for the first time tomorrow. It's going to be a flocking day for me! Thanks for letting me know that more water is better! I really appreciate the tip. I'm planning to have my SnoFlock video out in a couple of weeks and I hope it turns out as nice as yours sounds!

    Just love your humorous demeanor while doing this tedious snow project. I believe the way to go is anything that sprays; painting on something is too time consuming. Thanks for all your hard work-‐-------it all looks beautiful.

    I bet if you use hairspray for a final coat that would reduce shedding somewhat.

      Using hairspray in place of the spray glue?

    • @HomeCulture
      @HomeCulture  11 месяцев назад

      @@ILuvMyBernie The spray glue that I used is super sticky - much stickier than craft glue or hairspray. Hairspray might work for a light flocked look, but I don't think it will hold as strong. If you try it, let me know!

    Thank you so much! I can’t get the snow flock here and I tried buying online but it was hold on the border and returned to buyer because….it is a white powder , very suspicious white powder LOL . Since then I have kept looking for DIYs and yours is the best one so far. I can’t believe this video has so many views and so few likes. Thank You for sharing, it gave me some other ideas also , the texture of the very first can you opened looks so similar in texture to wall filler available here in México . Also thinking about other kind of wall coverings such as stucco powder or similar ( maybe too heavy ? ) , worth a try. Thank You!

    • @HomeCulture
      @HomeCulture  19 дней назад

      What a funny story! I can't believe they returned the snow flock. This is why I love RUclips so much - we all get ideas from each other and then add to them! I kinda think stucco powder might work, that spray I used is pretty similar, but it can only be used on interior walls. If you try stucco powder, let me know how it works! I think it's so cool that you are watching my video in Mexico! Thank you for the great comment!

    I’m so happy I saw this video! I moved to India a couple years ago and the Christmas trees here are a bit too traditional …& tiny bit sad in texture and fullness. I believe my tree needs flocking but everyone is using the same 2 brands that I cannot find 😭 . I will be trying the popcorn ceiling as it’s the only thing available to me that won’t break the bank! I’m off to order it now 😹

    Thank you for your video. I will use snow tex as I am decorating wood slices, too small for spraying.Funny that I have the same small tent/ green house as you for spraying, but my crafting clothes are not clean like yours😊 I am very messy. Very nice video, informative and funny. Did you try maybe make icecicles? Cant find any info. Thank you 😅 from UK

      Those spray tents are so handy! I haven't tried icicles but what a great idea! I'm thinking of ideas...I think maybe using the frosted glass spray paint? Or gluing Epsom salt to cone shapes? I'm going to be thinking about this so much - I love a challenge! And I love that you are from the UK!

    Years ago I made several snowmen from Styrofoam balls and old light bulbs. The light bulb was the bottom of the snowman but Styrofoam would have worked fine too. After gluing the balls together I used the Snow-Tex. I absolutely love the texture plus it has little sparkles in it or you can add your own. I still have three of those snowmen. I didn't have a computer nor a cell phone back then so I must have seen the idea in a magazine.

    • @HomeCulture

      Light bulbs! Now you have me thinking of crafts to do using light bulbs! Your idea is brilliant - thanks so much for sharing. It's so great to hear ideas from someone who just watched a video, it's a layering of ideas and is so encouraging! Wishing you a very Merry Christmas!

    I am in Canada and have been looking for 2 years! I am headed out today to figure it out! I got something called instabt snow and you add water it can get light and fluffy, but if you keep wetting it turns to slush.
    Which do you recommend for artificial tree? I am leaning more towards the popcorn spray

    • @HomeCulture
      @HomeCulture  6 дней назад +1

      The company that makes SnoFlock just reached out to me - they saw this video and are sending me some of their product to try. That video should be out in a couple of weeks! The SnoFlock is now available on the Canadian Amazon website. Whatever you try, I would start with a light spray of any flat white spray paint - it helps other products stick better than just to the plastic needles. After that, I agree with you popcorn spray is the best option. All flocking products shed and are messy - even the ones from the store. And the popcorn spray didn't seem messier than store bought trees. Happy DIY-ing

      Thank you! And yes it can be removed. I actually just went and tried this morning. I used just a wet paper towel. Once the spray gets wet it comes off pretty easy.

    I think the first one looks best...you should see some green. . Flocking(the other 3) just look white. The last 3 look exactly alike. Just buy a white tree.

    • @HomeCulture
      @HomeCulture  Год назад

      I like both looks. I do like all green trees, have some with light flocking, but I have this 3ft one that is so flocked it's like it's been in a snow storm! But it looks really cute for some reason. 😆

    Personally, I like the first one because I don’t want the whole thing white, which is what the rest of them look like they don’t look like there’s any greenery, showing it at all too much white

    • @HomeCulture
      @HomeCulture  Год назад +1

      Ralph agrees with you 100%!! This is the nice part of flocking the greenery yourself, you can control how heavy to apply the white. Oh, that last one, I went all in - so much 'flocking'!!!
