Bought two boxes of 24 trees from my DT today! I'm making a "forest" of these for the hotel lobby I manage. Thnx for the inspo. It's going to be our "Instagram" selfie spot for our guests this year.
Instead of adding so much sand to the baking soda, I'd use faux snow, it gives a much more realistic look when flocking a tree, wreath or garland - Snow glitters in the sunlight, so you want to have that glittery shine when faux flocking
These are great!! I flocked my 12 ft tree last year because #1 we all know huge flicked trees are not cheap! The one I wanted was at a Christmas store 9ft for $1200! Wow, heck no! Lol so I thought about it and I made my own concoction and it's beautiful, but time consuming. I took lightweight spackle, white paint, water and Elmers glue. After I got the right consistency, I added fine pure white glitter. It does not shed and it looks amazing!
Thanks for this idea. I have a flocked tree I love, but it’s seen better days. I want a new flocked one with a particular look, and they’re hard to find flocked. I just might have to try your recipe.
👍The shape of your trees is beautiful I love the whole concept I love the way they look.... they are so natural just as you see them growing along the mountain side! Great vision!
What I love about this channel is you usually have only a handful of DIYs per video and don't upload every day. There's something to be said for that. Great project- thanks!
Hi guys! I was just looking online for the trio set of smaller Christmas tree's and the prices were insane! What you did here is brilliant and to have it look high-end without going over $15 dollar's is awesome. Thanks for another awesome diy!
These are so incredible for "dollar tree" trees!!! You made them lush and gorgeous- Totally high-end looking and very impressive-you guys truly are brilliant!!!!😍
Excellent instructions. I’ve been looking for an inexpensive flocked garland and the three Walmart stores didn’t have any left. I’m going to try this method on plain garland. Thank you.
Oh, I absolutely love these trees. I’ve been wanting some like this for the last three or four Christmases and they were just so expensive, I just refused to buy them. Thank you for showing us an economical way to make these trees. They are absolutely gorgeous. Happy holidays to you and all of your loved ones. 💜
Wow…I am amazed just at the mixture and how you got that texture for frosting the trees! I know I said it before but I truly appreciate your diy ideas! It’s very tasteful and the looks are not just with the times but doesn’t look diy’d. I absolutely love that.
I just recently found you. I have to say I was totally blown away by your remaking of the Dollar Tree trees. I am definitely going to try this next season. I sure look forward to your upcoming DIYs. 🎅🤶
I make these Christmas trees in the Dollar Tree metal cans each year, my Husband pours cement into them and I decorate and place on my family graves. I usually use two together and they are very showy. Your channel is awesome love all your designs God Bless
This is the first video I've seen of you guys, and I'm impressed. I have never seen this method for adding faux snow, but can you tell me anything about how it holds up? Does it shed or break off easily?
I love how you did these trees. It looks like real snow. So realistic. What a excellent diy project! Hope to see more of your amazing projects! Thanks! 😊👍🇨🇦💯🎄
Wow ! 👏 I love this . I've seen simple trees similar to these (the big one) for approx $54 & they weren't even flocked ! U really blew it outta the park. Thank u .
Absolutely obsessed with these! I pick these up every year just bc and this is my favorite look so far! Amazing ❤️. I have everything to make these too! Thank you for sharing!🥰
Love them, I am actually doing something very similar right now. Wish I had seen this before starting. Your method is much easier than what I am doing,
These look great. I watched a woman, from Russia, the other day, who took every branch off, and started from scratch, and it was gorgeous when she was done. She pointed out that the problem with these trees is that each branch is a single branch, instead of a triple needed branch..,.think of a Chicken foot. It is like a Y shape with another branch in the middle of the Y. I love the look of your's, too, though.
Thanks ! Very inspiring, I had a similar idea but I was going to complicated by dismantling the branches and create my own. So glad I found your vid and channel
Absolutely love this! I will try to duplicate your project, too! You guys are great, and I always look forward to watching your videos. Please do more Christmas crafts, and as always, thanks for sharing!
New to your channel.. have to say you are now a Favorite of mine. Have seen others use the Dollar Tree “trees”, but love what you’ve done ! Hopefully stores in my area still have them in stock !
Love this... easy to do..and looks great... my issue is... its a mess all the time... it breaks off and falls on the floor..am I doing something different

Super cute! I'm already thinking about Christmas 2024! 🌲
You win🥰
DT sells a round styrofoam piece that fits PERFECTLY inside the bucket. It stands the tree a little taller and it’s secure.
White chalk paint works great!
You could leave these out even after the Holidays- love them

I’d love to see what that looks like.
I agree 👍
What about the sharing cream?
Much easier!

Great ideas, as I love everything that glistens, I would add some white glitter too, mixed with the white sand
The best DT Christmas tree conversion I have seen.
You're too kind! Thank you do much! ❤
I’ve seen lots of ways to repurpose these trees and this is one of the best ways yet!
Thank you so much! We really appreciate it ❤

This is lovely!! The set I was looking at is $299.99 ! You created something just as beautiful. Well done and thank you for the video.
I use white rust-oleum spray paint first, than white chunky glitter flakes, spray glue last. Nice job, though it looks messy!👍🏻

these are awesome! my DT has those extra twist on evergreen "branches" that you can make it fuller as well!
Thank you so much! Oh, that would look great! ❤
@@TheCraftyCouple you're welcome! love your videos!

Wow ! The trees 🌲 are absolutely gorgeous ! Love the homemade flocking ! Gotta try it on my tree !
The tree's turn out amazing❤ I have a quick question can you leave the trees Outdoors on the porch? Or are they just for indoors?

Definitely do not look like DT trees! Great job !
Really like these trees! Do you need to let the base layer of shaving creme dry first before using the spray adhesive? Thanks
Thank you so much! No, you can start applying it right after 😊
I was wondering how I could flock my DT trees with shaving cream and thankfully I saw this video!!!
Thanks for watching! Let us know how it turns out 😊

You could have used green floral wire to connect the trees together and to add in the additional branches.
Yes, you can definitely do that 😊
Outstanding, this is the best Dollar Tree idea I’ve ever seen!
