It would be great if they included like 3 different brush sizes since it’s removable. A smaller one, then the new one as the medium size, then one that’s somewhat larger than the original. Having the snap-on head is great for storage, travel, and cleaning, but not including multiple sizes in the plus is a missed opportunity to me.
Hi, professional hairstylist of 26 years here. It’s worth noting, if ppl are worried about burning their hair, and considering how hot you mention these brushes get in the video, I would be leaning towards the older model with ceramic instead of titanium barrel. Titanium is a metal and is a conductive heat, which singes the hair as it heats the outside cuticle of the follicle. Ceramic on the other hand is a radiant heat, and tends to heat the hair more gently from the inside out.
You are 100% correct! The first few blowouts come out amazing!! But then…. Holy shit!! It burns your hair horribly! After a while you will notice all the bristles are shorten and completely burnt down. Where in the begging of purchasing this blower you will notice the bristles are nice long and fluffy. After a while, they will be gone and completely melted lol now I think about with that does to your hair.
@@gtradventures1464 omg this is your experience?... I just bought this as a christmas present and now i am thinking about just walking back into the store.
“They could be literally putting a torch on the hair and saying ‘It’s 50% better than putting a torch in your hair!’…like, ok, thanks Revlon.” CRACKED ME UP. 😂
Thanks so much for this! I have the original and wasn't sure if I should go out and replace it. I have long wavy hair and I'm so glad to hear it's unnecessary to replace it.
I have the first one BUT I bought the short/medium hair version so it had the barrel of the new. And I found it 45% off…basically a really good deal ! I often put my hair in a big clip while they cool down to avoid them catching moisture and losing the blowout. It’s rare but when you do this in the bathroom after a shower, it happens. But HELL THIS IS A LIFE SAVER ! I know how to do my blowout but this brush helps me a lot, I have a free hand and I can use it to guide my hair a lot better than the usual blowout I do. *Less time consuming too so less damage on your hair* 👍👍
I was just looking for a one step hair dryer. This is actually the second video I've watched about this particular product. I usually buy hair dryers with attachments that end up breaking off over a period of time. It's really annoying having to purchase new attachments. I may have to purchase this now.
Brad, if you venture into creating your own styling tools please create a flat iron with a fine tooth comb attachment (similar a rat tail comb). Specifically something that would replace the chase method. The natural hair community will thank you.
What hair dryer brush (other than Revlon) would you recommend for super fragile, fine hair? It sounds like both Revlon products have the potential to "fry" your hair since there isn't much difference in heat settings.
Thanks for this. I purchased the old one over a year ago, so it's good to know I don't need to replace it if I'm happy with it, although I like the fact this one has a removable brush head. I wonder if Revlon will release other attachments in the future...
for regular, almost daily use, dyson is the best option and makes it an investment in the long term, and these from revlon for not-so-frequent use because they don't last more than a year and end up burning your hair. The titanium option is not suitable for fine hair because titanium is more heat conductive, it gets hotter.
I'm from Brazil and EVERY SINGLE PRODUCT you announce I wanna buy, but they're not shipped to Brazil. I'm sooooooooooooooo sad, i have curly hair and i would love to try every single one of them... Anyways, love your channel and your so cute 🥰
Hey brad! Can u do a video on the best drugstore cruelty free hairspray for thin hair that doesn’t hold curls for long please! I’m in desperate need of a good hairspray! I curl my hair and it just ends up being wavy within 3 hours!
Oh good, I don’t have to buy the new one. Thanks for the video! I think shark has a dupe for the dyson air wrap, I’m very intrigued to see how it performs.
I have very fine hair and have always been told to use ceramic flat irons or any hair tool that touches my hair because it was less damaging. That was about 20 years ago. Is the titanium on the Plus model going to damage my hair worse than the Original model? I've just recently gone from hair that was well past my butt to an inverted bob haircut that the longest pieces in the front when checking the evenness of my front two sides wrap under my chin on the opposite side that the hair is coming from. So basically about an inch past my chin length! Believe me, I was so nervous because I've always had long hair that came down to the very bottom of my back to where it was when I had it wacked off recently it was a couple of inches below my butt. I have been loving it ever since. I don't regret it at all. What I do regret is not being aware that my always long, not straight, not curly, cowlicked on both sides of my forehead, hair was going to jump up into ringlets almost ( Shirley Temple) curls! Ugghh. It takes some real work to get it into the sharp tilted lines of the inverted bob haircut that I wanted. I just 2 days ago got the newer smaller PLUS model of the Revlon here. I don't know what to think about my very fine hair on direct metal. Is this something to use on fine hair? My other alternative until I got this Revlon brush thing was a roll brush with long and short bristles and my blowdryer and also my new original style Chi flat iron (which is hot as h*l*!!! Please help???
I've gone through three of these in two years. They work great but the bristles flatten out over time (I think because it gets so hot it melts them a little) and don't grab my hair as well. I'm not getting another just to put it in a landfill after a few months 😞
It sucks for volumizing medium to long straight fine hair if you don't have biceps. I sent it right back. I do see that it's designed more for the second mannequin.

And he'd have the expertise to make it better than the ones that give you "you need this, and these and this" he'd find a way to make an automatic curler. That you could adjust to the curls you want. Love you Brad.. You gave me the confidence to set up my skincare channel and now i have 60k subscribers.. Honestly wouldn't have been possible without you and i love your content.. Love you x
I bought the original and it’s honestly one of the best purchases I’ve made in my life. I’ve never been able to do the whole hold the dryer in one hand and brush in the other. I’m not coordinated like that lol So this thing has been a lifesaver
For the Type 4 hair folks: if you have fine strands, I do *not* recommend the high heat setting for this dryer. 1) it gets hot, hot, so definitely use heat protectant even if using the cool setting, and 2) that high heat setting is not the best for fine fragile strands, imho. If you have coarse strands (a larger strand diameter) then maybe your hair can handle that high heat setting, but I’d start with the medium heat setting first. Tip: That 2nd mannequin had a silkier, wavy, not coily hair pattern so keep that in mind as looser wave & curl patterns straighten differently. I have fine, fragile type 4 hair that’s low to medium density-meaning when straightened, the diameter of my ponytail is only 1”-and it doesn’t require a lot of heat; I start with heat protectant on really damp hair and only use the medium heat setting with this dryer, and then do one pass with the Remington Pearl pro flat iron (on 360° to 380°), and my hair ends up looking just like the first mannequin’s 1st results. I’ve used the high heat setting *after* hair was already dried using the medium heat to achieve a textured blow out rather than bone straight hair with a flat iron. Btw: I have the ceramic version (the older dryer) and my “combination hair” is mid-back length, with 45% to 50% shrinkage rate.
I’m not a professional, however I’ve been natural on and off my whole life. Stopped chemical relaxing back in 1996 then stopped again for good in 2004 after becoming pregnant. It’s a learning process, so what’s the point of making mistakes if I & others don’t learn from them 😉 but if possible definitely consult knowledgeable professionals who are trained and specialize in natural hair care.
OMG I love how you're low key roasting all the claims on the box! I always ask the same questions. Random claims are so empty and I hate them. 👏👏👏 I want the juicy data already!
I had the original and just bought the new version. My hair is above the shoulder and I get much better volume and bend with the new one. It's also lighter weight, so I find it easier to use. I think for shorter hair, newer is the way to go.
The original is my favorite hair tool ever, I’ve been using it since it came out. My hair has gotten healthier (previously used a regular straightener religiously lol). I also have long hair and ALOT of it, my hairdresser is always amazed, every time haha. I really want to try this new one though because it looks a lot smaller in size.
I have a lot of hair too and long but when I used the original it left my hair freezy and a lot of volume which is the opposite of what Iwanted.. Does it leave your hair slick straight? Or would Ineed a straightner for that?
@@bbygrlpt2 I usually use it to blow dry it straight but still use a straightener for the sleek look. I just need less heat since it’s already mostly straight. I also use the sleek it straight heat protectant by L’oreal Paris which is the BEST thing I’ve ever put on my hair!!
I’ve used the original for about 4 years- L.O.V.E. It. ✨ TIPS✨ -Don’t use it on soaking wet hair. Make sure your hair is at least 70% dry. -Start with the bottom and work your way up. -Work in small sections. -Continuously turn and pull the dryer so there is always tension on the hair- that’s what straightens it. -Keep going past the point of your hair feeling dry. -If you want more volume, pull the dryer straight upward. If you want bouncy ends, pull the dryer out to the sides. 🔮 Your hair will be beautiful! 🔮
@@coopercoates8809 when I blow dry my hair, I always wait until it's damp to start blow drying as your hair is very fragile when wet. I leave it in a microfiber towel for a bit (or you can scrunch it gently) before blow drying. I imagine that's what you would do here💞
I could have used this video two days ago when a customer was screaming at me asking what the differences were and why one was $70. I was just like the new one has a bigger motor 🤷🏼♀️
@@michelleg5679 Just like a regular hairbrush- use a wide-tooth comb to remove loose hair, then swish the bristle end in a sink/bowl of soapy water and rinse, but make sure to dip only the brush itself, not the handle. Easy peasy, no need for a removable handle.
Hoping the removable head means they’ll offer replacement heads. I’m on my second one because my thick course hair wore out the brush bristles after a year. Most were flattened down and stopped gripping my hair as well.
Same thing happened to me. I called to see if they could send me a new brush head and found out it has a 2 or 3 year warranty. She sent me a brand new one.
Can you compare this to one of the brands that have a similar product at like $150+ (I think drybar is one of them) I'm curious if the expensive ones are actually any better
The Amika is so much better. Revlon is not professional. I used the Amika and my hair came out like silk. Amika has the kit on their website for $99 and you get their full size dry shampoo and detangler. For $30 more, you get 2 free products and you are using a professional product.
@@lindakoberna3465 very good to know. I know I won't buy this Revlon one. I had a regular dryer by them and hated it but also don't want to waste money on a stupid expensive one lol
The Hot Tools (small head) air brush is my absolute favorite! I have medium length hair and it just makes the hair much more silky smooth than my Revlon hair volumizer.
Would love comparison with Dyson Airwrap as struggle to curl with straightners as have arthritis in hands as they say Christmas coming I need to know what to put in my wish list... Yes Santa comes to 56 year old if they have been good and sent a letter 😂
If you have that much money to buy Dyson just take the gamble. There are plenty of what you want ranging from $30 to $300 which is way cheaper than the Dyson. The company who made vacuums. I wouldn't count on them for hair products.
Yes! I have fibromyalgia and I basically just shower & air dry now that it’s to hard and painful to stand for 20 mins with my arms above my head to try to dry or curl my hair:( but I’ve been looking between the dyson and this product to see if I can get nice hair again with half the time and maybe won’t b as painful that b great! I saw your comment and just want u to know u aren’t alone😊
@@catiek2854 Thank you for that I also have Fibro myalgia and Pots so along with Arthritis the whole hands above head a impossible mountain. Folk who do not have similar health issues do not understand how I have to choose do I shower or hair wash and hair wash days I can not style hair mainly have to air dry which can take nearly all day to dry. Years ago I got Christmas gift of Dyson Hairdryer it is a workhorse and days I can do hair makes life easier hence I am thinking Airwrap would be a good idea but a considered buy as so expensive but my daughter could use my current Dyson Hairdryer. I love Brad's honest reviews. I hope you keep well as able always remmber be kind to yourself as Fibro myalgia a poorly understood invisible condition gentle 🥰
@@brooklyn_716 Buying Dyson Airwrap would be a huge expense and considered purchase hence thinking rather than lots of little gifts for Christmas getting family to put money in a piggy bank towards Airwrap fund. I so do not want to have to cut hair short if I can find a hair tool that does job and reduces pain. I did similar years ago to fund Dyson Hairdryer I have to say it was a game changer and I can still use on good days but hand dexterity for styling gone. The dryer would go to my daughter who has lush waist length thick hair takes 2 days to airdry, hour with her hairdryer to dry but when at mine 15 mins with Dyson hairdryer less heat on hair and dried plus styled in 15 minutes. I have seen a I think called Lucxx brand similar to Airwrap but wary of not knowing afters sales service of company. The Revlon looks interesting and so much cheaper but future planning am I going to find it does not meet my needs.
This was so helpful! The older version is on sale for $38 at Target right now and I was on the fence on whether to "splurge" for the newer one or basically pay half for the original. Buying the original, thanks! Also, would love for you to compare this to the Dyson Airwrap like you mentioned!
I'd love to see a comparison with some of the other lower cost versions of this if you ever do one vs the Dyson! I have fine hair and use the John Frieda/Conair Infinite Pro one bc it's smaller and gets a little less hot, but as my hair grows out I've been wondering if the Revlon would be a good investment!
I have the old paddle type Revlon dryer and useit on one of my residents who has thin hair from chemotherapy and age and I think her hair has more volume when I do it
I recently purchased the older version. It was actually $25 less than the newer one, at my target. I’ve been loving it so far. I have medium length hair, dense and wavy hair.
I’d love to see the old one compared to the Dyson AirWrap. I’ve been thinking about getting the Dyson and I currently have the old Revlon one, but it’s a BIG price jump.
I have the revlon and my housemate has the dyson and honestly… I don’t like it. Im really good with hair and I just couldn’t make it work like revlon / a curler. It’s expensive as hell so if you can’t afford to throw away £500 don’t bother lol
Sucks that the bigger one is better for longer hair which I have. But the smaller one would be so much easier for me to handle due to carpal tunnel and intermittent ulnar nerve compression in my hand.
I have an old Revlon blow dryer thats about 15 years old with detachable brushes, one large, other is small... It broke on the locking mechanism that keeps the brush on around year 3. 😂
I have 3a/3b hair type and I love the original version of the tool! I used to NEVER blow out my own hair because of the difficulty with a tool and blow dryer but now this made it so easy for me to do my own hair. I keep it on the lower setting so the damage isn't quite as bad with plenty of heat protectant and I feel like my hair comes out smooth and soft and my ends aren't fried!
I always love your comparison videos you say it as it is ... no fluff. This product is in my price range and the new model is on my Christmas list from me🤗. Stay safe stay well x
I bought the first one in beginning of 2020 and it only lasted me 3 months then it just died. But I made a lot of mistakes. I used it almost everyday with my hair fully wet and it was always on high. It even burned off a small chunk/strand of my hair but after learning more I realized -I did this to myself. I loved it because of how easy it was to use and I only needed one tool. Im gonna buy this new one and be more careful and obviously not try to do my hair daily. Sorry hair😳
It would be great if they included like 3 different brush sizes since it’s removable. A smaller one, then the new one as the medium size, then one that’s somewhat larger than the original. Having the snap-on head is great for storage, travel, and cleaning, but not including multiple sizes in the plus is a missed opportunity to me.
i agree with this wholeheartedly
They're probably going to come out with them but charge for it.

I'm wondering with the barrel being removable if they are going to come out with different attachments.
I bought the original and it’s honestly one of the best purchases I’ve made in my life. I’ve never been able to do the whole hold the dryer in one hand and brush in the other. I’m not coordinated like that lol So this thing has been a lifesaver
My arms just kept getting so tired! Lol I love this thing!
Couldn’t agree more! Love it so much , amazing for extensions xx
Same. Not coordinated enough to do dryer in one hand and brush in the other
"I like things that are smaller.. for hair" 😏😉 same brad, same 😌
The new one is at Costco for $40, just a heads up to everyone
Thank you!
It's not the same one!
@@violetann3156 oh man:( it’s okay, I picked it up at ulta. Thank you though!
I saw it at Marshall’s for $35 I believe. 🙂
@@violetann3156 really? it looked the exact same. Box and all. That sucks
Btw: I have the ceramic version (the older dryer) and my “combination hair” is mid-back length, with 45% to 50% shrinkage rate.
question. i have really fine thin hair would the old one work better on me? my hair is also really long.
Thank you for taking your time and sharing all this. God bless you❤️
you're so knowledgeable. this was very helpful, thank you
Yeeesss I feel like the older version did so much damage to my hair. And my friend had a bad experience with it too. But nobody talks about it.
Please do a comparison on the Revlon vs Dyson Airwrap!! I would love to see the difference
I had the original and just bought the new version. My hair is above the shoulder and I get much better volume and bend with the new one. It's also lighter weight, so I find it easier to use. I think for shorter hair, newer is the way to go.
That's why I bought the new one also. I just cut my hair shorter and the old brush is too large now for my hair.
I’ve recently gotten the original one. Quick question, how do you clean yours?? Since the original doesn’t detach.
It. ✨ TIPS✨
-Don’t use it on soaking wet hair.
So you still need to blow dry it to 70%? That defeats it being an all on one if need another hair dryer
@@coopercoates8809 wait for it to air drya little, it's what i do
P
What do you mean by 'Keep going past the point of your hair feeling dry'?
@@coopercoates8809 when I blow dry my hair, I always wait until it's damp to start blow drying as your hair is very fragile when wet. I leave it in a microfiber towel for a bit (or you can scrunch it gently) before blow drying. I imagine that's what you would do here💞
I could have used this video two days ago when a customer was screaming at me asking what the differences were and why one was $70. I was just like the new one has a bigger motor 🤷🏼♀️
😂
I used to have a blouse like Brad's in the 90s black, red and olive. I want one again now.
Im so excited that this one has a removable head for cleaning. Cleaning my old one is such a pain in the ass.
An opinion from a person who used this, were you included in those random statistics on the box lol
How am I supposed to clean it?
@@michelleg5679 Just like a regular hairbrush- use a wide-tooth comb to remove loose hair, then swish the bristle end in a sink/bowl of soapy water and rinse, but make sure to dip only the brush itself, not the handle. Easy peasy, no need for a removable handle.
Phew I don’t have to buy another piece of equipment…as the old one is good for long hair…I love mine 💕
@@tiffanywiggins8534 thanks that's good to know
Can you compare this to one of the brands that have a similar product at like $150+ (I think drybar is one of them) I'm curious if the expensive ones are actually any better
Yes, and the new t3. I want to try the t3 because it has more settings and a smaller head since I’ve cut my hair short.
I made of the same comment that I want to see compared to the 151 from drybar and the $99 one from Amika
@@brooklyn_716
Buying Dyson Airwrap would be a huge expense and considered purchase hence thinking rather than lots of little gifts for Christmas getting family to put money in a piggy bank towards Airwrap fund.
I bit the bullet and bought the air wrap and I love it so much. Takes a little practice but once you get it, you got it.
Living my best hair life vicariously through Brad. I always look forward to your uploads.
Ha ha, far easier than having to actually DEAL with hair and too much of it!
This was so helpful! The older version is on sale for $38 at Target right now and I was on the fence on whether to "splurge" for the newer one or basically pay half for the original. Buying the original, thanks! Also, would love for you to compare this to the Dyson Airwrap like you mentioned!
Marshall’s and TJ Max have older version $34
I'd love to see a comparison with some of the other lower cost versions of this if you ever do one vs the Dyson! I have fine hair and use the John Frieda/Conair Infinite Pro one bc it's smaller and gets a little less hot, but as my hair grows out I've been wondering if the Revlon would be a good investment!
I have the old paddle type Revlon dryer and useit on one of my residents who has thin hair from chemotherapy and age and I think her hair has more volume when I do it
The fact you never dried your clients face had me dying lol
I recently purchased the older version. It was actually $25 less than the newer one, at my target. I’ve been loving it so far. I have medium length hair, dense and wavy hair.
“I like things that are smaller…for hair”
“I always love this little hole here - it’s just satisfying to put your finger in…”
🤭😂
🤣👌
this product damages your hair. it works great however not for long term use ☹️
Literally never gave a crap about my hair until I found Brad Mondo! Now I'm watching all his videos! I ADORE HIM!!!!

Him: Brad's the homie babe
Me: Can he be my boyfriend?
Him: I think I could pull Brad before you could ,🤣😂🤣😂
That’s funny

@@doglover8440 are you a homophobe? Or do you not like my boyfriend joking about Brad finding him more attractive then me a woman?
Waiting for this comment, with my 3B. Does it work for you? Do you straighten or eventually curl your hair with this tool?
Sorry hair😳
I like to blast dry 70-80% with a regular dryer then use the brush to finish
