I LOVE your videos! I'm 67 years old and have never had long hair in my life. I have had cancer twice; the last time my hair came back curly. My son wanted me to let it grow because he's never seen it long (no one did), so it's now past my shoulders. I hate it - lol - he loves it. The only thing that's prevented me from cutting it off into my regular pixie is the Revlon One Step Hair Dryer. That thing is magic! My natural hair texture is frizzy and I blow it out stick straight now because you showed me how. You've helped me so much with all your product suggestions, too! I use the Pureology Hair Fanatic leave in spray and it has left my hair in great condition! Just bought Redken Big Blowout - WOW! Thank you for your excellent advice to all of us!

The beauty industry has been sleeping too long when it comes to disabled women. I am one. I've struggled with the round brush for years. YEARS. I bought the One Step as an Xmas present to myself because so many disabled women in my IRL and online circles have been talking about this thing. It's amazing. I have well behaved hair shoulder length hair so I prefer to let it air dry to 80-85% when I can. Then I hit it with this brush. It takes 7 minutes. Brilliant.

Meaning - is your hair just getting too flat in between washes where you need to go only two days instead of three?
Or, is it not necessarily flat, but just getting fly away and without style after the first day or so?
If you want to tell me which products you’re currently using or what reaction you’re having, I might be able to point you in the right advice of some thing or at least another video that has found helpful.

      @ElleeZee289 Год назад +1

@@Nickabod79check out his video on the proper way to was your hair! Really focus on getting the scalp squeaky clean. You may want to try products and techniques that lift the hair off the scalp like a root booster. When styling, try to make sure you’re getting lift at the root and make sure when you dry, that you’re starting at the root. Also use dry shampoo. He says start with dry shampoo on day 2. If I’m really serious about extending my style, I even do a little back coming at the root and then hairspray. I think it’s the oil from your scalp that makes your style look bad- at least for me.
But I’d say the most important thing is the right shampoo and washing technique.

Just discovered this channel and I am instantly hooked! Been binge-watching the videos and the info I’m getting has been exactly what I needed!
I had been getting so frustrated with my hair that most of the time, I was just wearing a ponytail because I had given up. I have fine hair and my hair would only look good (if I was lucky) on wash day AND only if I used a charcoal scalp scrub, which just seemed bonkers to me. This channel made me realize that the reason this was the case was because I was washing my hair wrong! 🤦‍♀️Now I can use fewer products and still get results! 🎉
I ordered some product from your website yesterday and the order was processed within hours and is already in route!
I am truly grateful and appreciative of the treasure that is in these videos! Thank you thank you thank you! Does it help you if I buy products from your store? I want to support this content so it doesn’t go away! I’m not local to visit the salon.
I had one local hair stylist a while back who provided this level of info while she was trying to grow her client base. She taught me how to blow dry like a professional with a round brush. (I just don’t like the effort and arm power involved!) I became loyal to her but then she moved to another state! 😢 So I really know how to recognize and appreciate a good thing when I see it!

So glad I found this video... After I used a blow dry brush for the first time. Luckily, I am the impatient type so if anything, I would have underdone it with the drying. But I will follow the advice about feeling for the temperature of the hair. I am very happy with the result of my first blow dry with the brush. I have been running my fingers through my hair for two days marveling at how smooth it feels. I never did master the blow drier and have been air drying my hair for years. I can never control the frizz properly. My hair is the type that gets frizzy when it comes out of the towel. I have found that binding it while drying (such as braiding it) helped. But I am so glad I found this tool.

3:36 the rule of “frizz showing = hair is almost dry” is LIFE CHANGING for my FRIZZY-EVEN-WHEN-WET hair, because salon “stylists” who are not familiar w/coarse + frizz-prone hair tend to blowdry my hair in a way that makes it look dull and super damaged!! Can I ask you, does the Amika one give you volume or is it more straightening than anything? And is the temperature moderate enough where it doesn't damage your hair, but can also give a lasting result? So many people say the Revlon one gets way too hot so I'm looking into the Amika one. Thank you!

@@HappyWater45 I find you can do either volume or straightening with the tool. If I want volume on my roots then I use a Velcro roller to set the hair after I dried it. I don’t find the temp too hot and I use a blowdry heat protector. There’s also a “low” setting you can use and a cooler setting. I find my hair lasts 3 days with the Amika one vs air drying

Question: The blow dry brushes have different temperature settings. Which is the most ideal and healthy setting to dry our hair? Also, is it recommended to use the cool setting at the end of drying to set our hair?
While I'm on the topic of temperature, what is the recommended temp. for straightening irons? Particularly, hair that is fine and thinning?

I have a couple of questions. . . I don't blow my hair dry very often . . . I use the old fashioned method of rollers. No velcro or anything that pulls, just rollers with tiny, slippery "teeth".
I am going to get the Redkin Products that you recommend. I have very fine hair that used to also be thick and lusterous. Due to some medication that did not immediately come to the attention of the medical community as something that causes hair loss, I now have much thinner hair.
A year ago, I shaved myself bald so that I could treat my scalp without any of the minoxidil I was using soaking into my hair. I must say that it did help. I also used coconut oil and castor oil (Not all at once!) I wore gloves so that none of the product got into my hands either.
I have a widow's peak that was becoming more and more pronounced because the hair around the sides of it was falling out. It is now coming back, but I still have pretty thin hair. It is also quite curly naturally. I trim it myself by taking each section of hair as I take it out of the curler and just trim off the "fuzzy" ends, about 1/4 inch, every several months or so. What would you recommend for washing, conditioning and should I also use leave-in conditioner? Is there anything else I should be doing? My hair has lost a lot of it's luster.

I didn’t know how to care for it, and on bad hair days I would just say tongue-in-cheek “hey, it’s not like I can see it, and I’m not trying to impress anyone” 🙄
I followed your advice in another video about how to wash and condition it… only shampooing the roots has been a game changer! If I shower in the morning and blow dry it with a bit of oil, it looks great! If I shower at night and let a wet towel over my pillow dry it, it also looks great! No frizz and decent lift at the roots.
