I'm not sure if it was mentioned, but I really appreciate how you aren't attempting to be perfect about it. The brush is catching other hair and the section parting in the back was including the previous sections. It makes it so much more user friendly showing that you can do that and it STILL LOOKS GOOD.
I'm obsessed with your energy, definitely subscribed.

I do agree with you. It is nice to see that he does not care that much if there are a few strands that fell out or if he misses a few strands in the back. It really tells me that when we blow our own hair, we don't really need to make it perfect and just like you said, it looks amazing.

How gorgeously you are showing doing it on yourself, I can relate so much seeing you also sort of struggling with self-hair-styling, as it takes some acrobatic skills to make it good especially on the back hair. This can definitely be true! It depends on the products you’re using, sulfate and silicone heavy products can coat your hair and not allow moisture to enter. Also, can leave build up on the scalp which means you may need a pre poo treatment. Take a look at my hair education videos for some helpful tips - they’re in the JVN School playlist!

Could you do a video on products to use for straight, fine, thin hair? I feel like I literally have to choose only 1 product to use at a time - if I’m blow drying it’s heat protectant, if air drying it’s the tiniest amount of leave-in conditioner. It feels like if I add anything else or even double up on those two, it weighs my hair down and it immediately feels greasy. Even when I try to use very little product and really spread it between my hands first. Am I just using the wrong stuff?

Which size Olivia Garden brush were you using in this RUclips? CI-55, CI-65, or CI-80? My hair type and length are quite similar to yours, so I want the correct round brush size. I will also get the flat brush, but I'm not sure which round brush diameter to purchase. Thanks in advance.

I was looking for some good hair protectant and other hair care products when I came across this video. Saw the products and decided to give it a try. I JUST GOT TO SAY I LOVE IT SO MUCH!!!! I totally didn't regret buying them, it did wonders to my hair! My hair is wavy, dry, frizzy and always tangled. When I bought the items, I couldn't wait to try it. I thought it only worked when I blow dry my hair and NO! IT WORKS EVEN IF YOU JUST AIR DRY IT. The serum did not weigh down your hair, in fact it really makes it smoother. The conditioning mist really detangles my hair, I don't even need to comb it often!! And the shine drops? DAMN IT REALLY DESERVED THE AWARD WINNING. It really makes your hair shinier and smoother all day longgggg. The only products that ever worked on my hair. Thank you so much Jonathan! You saved my life !!

HELP!! My hair is breaking in the back under the top layer mid-way down. When I get my hair touched up, my stylist puts bleach on my roots only and then foils the brown low lights on the top. I have naturally curly hair and it is thick, but I do straighten it with a flat iron sometimes. I use a leave in conditioner, smoothing cream, and a heat protecting cream. I have tried everything and I do mean EVERYTHING to get my hair to grow and look healthy again. Can you help me?

I love watching your videos. They inspired me to revolve the gifts I want to get for my mother around hair care and pampering yourself. My mom has fine wavy hair that is prone to frizzing. What would be like the two products I could start off getting my mom to pamper herself?

    • @jvn

I would say some pre wash scalp oil and some air dry cream!

As someone who it just starting to learn to blow dry their own hair - I found this incredibly useful! I'm getting married on Saturday and I'm doing my own hair. I definitely should have started practicing earlier but glad to at least have the right knowledge, even if I won't have the technique.

  • @summies2796

i recently bought the blowout milk bc i feel like i’ve tried almost every product to try and prep my hair for a lasting blow out, i have 2c 3a 3b hair super prone to frizz and humidity. i applied the milk on fresh washed hair before my blow out, and it’s THE BEST. i blew out my hair two days ago and my hair has stayed straight and almost frizz free, and it rained around here yesterday!! im gonna go purchase the rest of the line, especially the shine drops at the end to lock it all in!!! i trusted jvn for many reasons, but their textured hair also really sells it for me :)

Thank you for the tutorial Jonathan, you look beautiful as ever!! I would love to blow my hair out whenever I wash it, but I'm so impatient, and it's thick with nappy frizzy curls underneath. Yikes! Question: what do you think I could use daily for the underneath frizz when I don't wash my hair?? I need help. lol
