Current cosmo student and i am so excited to begin doing blow outs. Your page has given me exactly what i need. I notice a lot of girls in my school blowouts are flat and very dry looking. This was so helpful!!
Love it! I did this on myself and while it made my arms ache like nobody’s business! My hair looks fabulous! I really doubted the method of going in different directions-thought it would make my hair frizzy-made a phenomenal difference! Thank you so much!
Thank you for the feedback. I have chronic neck and finger problems so I probably won’t try this one… Or maybe I’ll do a modified version with my round brush shaped blow dryer thing. It won’t be as silky, but I’ll probably still get a little bit of volume…
I grew up going with my mother to a salon where all the stylists shared your care and skill. It was always our “mommy-daughter” date. Anyone who had a free gap during her 4 hours of cut, dye, style, would cut my hair and give me a full blowout. I LOVED it (and I guess the stylist’s did too. I remember a lot of cooing. Not the type of salon that had kid cuts. Pretty sure they just made up a charge 😂). But my standards have forever been spoiled! I’ve never had the same hair experience since 😂. Watching you makes me realize why. You put all the extra work into your layering and cuts that I remember watching as a kid, and none of what I’ve found at salons as an adult. I thought it must have been a childhood trumped-up memory, but watching you makes me realize not so! My search continues! ✊🎉 But I’m so glad I’ve found your account. I can finally have names and techniques to what I’ve been looking for when I go in for hair cuts.
this is one of the best blowout tutorials. I have fine hair but a lot of it, so I like to get lift at the roots and movement. I'm going to try this technique out. Thank you!
I’m a newer hairstylist and I really appreciate this channel so much. I can’t wait to blow dry my client tomorrow! I’m gonna go get that volumizing mousse tomorrow!
watching this before my blowout test next period, i totally missed this lecture in class so i had no clue but this really helped! thank you for explaining everything so detailed and easy❤
Thank you so much! I couldn’t see any tutorial like this. Its always volume with curls but not volume thats still straight like the ones in the 80s. So pretty thanks so much!!
I have the hardest time drying the back of my hair. And I always dry the underneath hair first as well, but by the time I get towards the top of my hair, I am sweating so badly that the underneath hair is wet again! But this is how I wish I could get my hair to look. I will try it the next time I blow dry my hair. Thanks for a great video!
My quick and dirty method was always to just flip my head upside down till I have fully dried my roots 🤫. Then I get all the sectioning and finessing done as needed upright 😅. Not salon-level but for at-home? Works like a charm. (I’m not gonna admit that half the time I just do the whole thing upside down…)
@@Commoncourtesy12 I used to do that too. Now I just let my hair dry naturally. Living in a hot climate like Thailand, you sweat almost 100% of the time, so the underneath part of my hair gets soaking wet within seconds of drying it. So I've given up. 😄
Watching this is an eye-opener. I now have a newfound respect for the old lady at the salon who blowdries our hair after the cut by the inhouse stylist. Thank you too for showing us that we can style using mousse and some styling gel. Will this style hold thru the whole duration of the party?
Hi. I just started and I was concerned with blow-drying. You explained so nicely. Thanks. My mistake was that I didn't pull the brush high, so I had miss.
me. a brand new barber student watching this video. Mouth wide open because I never thought to sub section, or use the hair dryer help to flip the brush on each side of the hair......Im gonna try it tomorrow!!
Hi Summer Loved this video it helped me a lot. I just went a little bit shorter on my layers. Can you make a video to teach me to blow dry my hair with the shorter layers. I am leaving it to puffy in the front. Thank you Michelle
It looks easy when you do it .... I try on myself omg i get frustrated i just can't maneuver it with ease like you it's frustrating , anyone feeling this ...🤪🙃 Can you do a video showing us how you partition your hair And how to handle brush and dryer ....i would so appreciate it thank you in advance ...
Hi, just saw this pop up. Ive been searching for videos of people blowing out their OWN hair. It's great that you can do this on a mannequin or client but I need to figure out how to do this on myself... it's very hard. Great video though!
Thank you for sharing your technique how to do a perfect blow dry It’s really helpful for all of us who study for a hairdresser. Would you please share the mark and model of the hair dryer that you use in the video? Thank you in advance! 💕💕🥹
Thank you! This technique has helped me understand more clearer on how to round brush. It's definitely one of my challenges in cosmetology school. Merry Christmas!! 🎄
Hi Summer, I really love your style of cutting and all the tips you share w everyone. I'm wondering if I can last long enough to actually do this sectional blow-dry...LOL :) My hair is about 20 to 22 inches long and very thick. I'm 65 yrs. old. Probably too old for long hair...but I enjoy it. I will be worn out by the time it gets dry. Most of the time, I wear it in a bun...straight from the shower. I'm planning on cutting it my self using your tutorial...that was absolutely amazing.
I'm about your age and my hair is the same cut as the maniquin but there is no way I can spend all that time with a brush and blow dryer. I am wondering if there is a way to do this with curlers or a curling iron. This is exactly how I want my hair to look and was using my curling iron and it never looked like this.
I see that you do a lot of videos with hair parted in the middle, Would you be willing to do a video with a side part for cutting hair and blow dry?? Ty. I luv your videos you are so informative & amazing !!
Would you care to do a video on round brush curls? I feel like that could possibly save time in the salon. Thank you and I hope you have a very merry Christmas, and God bless!
@@StylesBySummer So I just finished with my first client and it may have taken me like an hour or so to blow dry her I was moving so slow 😫 I gave her some curls and she loved it! But I have trouble with timing and getting it done right at a faster pace I guess you could say.. how long does it normally take you and what temperature would be ideal to use? Thank you, Summer! 💖
@@StylesBySummer Exactly and aat 65 with a bad back, I don't think I would be able to take this time but it is EXACTLY how I want my hair to look. I have the same cut. Can I give it this height and curl if I use curlers or a curling iron? Or even one of those hair air brushes?
I've just got a Hairdryer styling brush, the barrel of the brush rotates, it's absolutely awesome to use & thr barrel of the brush is lovely & big, it makes my thin hair a lot more voluminous!!
You are the first person to mention that stupid parting that occurs on the side of ge head. I have thick curly hair and my hair parts only on the left right where the up changes to down. A crazy sideways part. Finally help.
how are they getting the hair to easily spin around the brush?? my hair even in the smallest sections just get so tangled that i can't pull it down so smooth😊
Hi mam Iam Swati from Mumbai I Love your all hair and blow drys mam please make the video of out curls I would love to see your out curls video too thank you

Beautiful, can I do this haircut on thin hair , or does it require thick hair?
You have to adjust the way you do your layers, but yes.
Beautiful! Just wanted to ask you what hairdryer are you using
Do you mind sharing your flat iron brand? I saw your dryer is a Dyson. Very helpful. Thanks.
