Never has a stylist ever given me volume when blow drying and styling my hair. They pull it straight down, plastered to my head. I always hate it and have to wear a hat home, haha! I just bought a Voloom upon your recommendation. Thanks!
Thats what I have experienced too. My stylist is great with color but when it comes to blowdrying and styling my hair she never gives me any volume on top and then will curl it when some of the hair isn't 100 percent dry so I feel like it is being damaged, I have fine hair so am always careful how much heat I use on it.
Me too! I always ask for volume (and I have thick hair with lots of body) and I leave with the hair plastered to my head and it looks thin. I don't get it! I immediately re-blow dry when I get home!
I am so grateful to you for this video. I have struggled with my frizzy wayward hair all my life and although blow drying has helped a lot I had never come across the technique of re directing hair before and it has been a game changer. My head of dull looking horse hair is now soft, shiny, and it moves. Thank you so very, very much.
Believe it or not, my hair is more stick-straight than yours and perhaps finer. I too “live for volume” and find it so difficult to maintain any ooomph in my hair for any length of time. Thank you for this video, I found much of it to be a huge learning curve ❤️
Okay so next thing I need her to show me is what she does with her hair on the days wher it hasn't been washed! Pleeeeeaaaaaase tell me how to manage the fine thin hair on those days.
Thank you for the helpful hints. This type of styling holds very well between washes every three days, even on my 2A hair, with it up in a telephone tie at night. A bit of tease and spray resurrects it. So fast and easy, even I can do it!😁
I have only discovered you today 😊😊😊, I’ve subscribed and already learnt so much from watching just two videos. It’s where you place the products that IMO will make all the difference when I next style my hair. I have the products ( different brands) and the tools ( again different brands) but I believe following your videos will make all the difference.
Every stylist should know how to overdirect to create that big round shape at the crown! So many stylists hear round and focus on the ends, leaving it flat at the crown, creating a pyramid shape. 🤷♀️😢
I use a similar brush however it rotates in both directions and takes most of the work out of this style 😊 It has 3 heat settings and high+low speeds, 2 round brush heads - large and small. Brand is Babyliss here in France and perhaps Rowenta in the US and Calor in the UK.
I definitely don't use enough product! I bought a mini hair crimper from Babyliss I think it was like 20 bucks works the same as that expensive one! You explain things so well!
Oh my goodness, I thought I was the only crazy lunatic who crimped the root of their hair for extra volume. And I thought I was being so clever and creative. Didn't know this was a thing!!! By the way, I'm going to get a haircut next week, and I'm going to show the hairdresser this video and ask him to give me an angled bob cut, just like yours. Summer, I love your haircut and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your copper brown hair colour. I always wished I had red hair but I have thick dark brown Persian hair, it does not like being bleached. One day I will muster up the courage to dye my hair copper brown, I hope it turns out as beautiful as yours (fingers crossed). 💖💖💖
I wish you could explain on longer hair.. Your demonstration is one of a kind😢❤.. Love it😂....i also need some serious guidance on how to layer up products cuz if you use too much your brush becomes a broom 😂 plus after all that muscle flexing your hair looks only air dried....
Thank you for this! My hair is a similar length and while I have the regular round brushing technique down for sides of my head, the crown and front have always stumped me. The blow dry brush also looks really fun- I'm going to go watch your video for the smaller Revlon dryer brush next. My hair is so fine that I need a lot of tension and grip from any brush and I like that the T3 has a lot of close bristles. It's just so expensive! 🥲
Thank you for this! I have this blow dryer but my round attachment moves because the inside part looks chipped (I received this blow dryer for free from T3 and it was damaged when I received it) so it makes it really hard to twist the blow dryer because it rocks a little bit but I’ve gotten it down now on holding it in place for the most part. But I was curious how to properly use this now that my hair is a long bob and your video has really helped! You’re an amazing artist and teacher and I truly appreciate how through you explain things!
Love this video. I have the oval brush but I am going to also get the round brush. I do section but I let some of the damp hair sit on the dried sections. Will work on that. I may be getting. Valoom also. Thanks for all the great tips.
I am dying for their large brush attachment to come back in stock! I don't like any of their attachments really because my hair is just so fine and straight but the actual power for drying is great as far as blowout brushes go. So when I saw they came out with a larger round brush I was excited.
Hi Summer, I love your videos. Can you tell us your formula and how you get your amazing hair colour. I have been trying for years to achieve this color and have an entire book full of formulas that I've tried.
Hi Summer, besides the great hair, I could not go past your beautiful eyebrows, did you do them yourself? Can you do a tutorial about your eyebrows please? Thank you 🥰
The T3 barrel seems way long and heavy requiring both hands. I have a conair, revelon, and dyson. I can roll all barrels with 1 hand, while the other hand guides the roll up. What is the weight of the T3?
I've never been very disciplined about sectioning my hair while blow drying, but I am really going to try this next time! Thank you for such a good explanation of how to do this with a round blow dryer brush! I agree ... give me all the volume, then give me more! I do have a Voloom, and I just love it!
I am actually using the largest size here! I have all 3 sizes lol. I used to use the rootie only but like the large size for maz coverage bc I'm obsessed with volume! The petite is perfect too cause it's right in the middle!
Great video! I noticed you didn't use a heat protectant though and curious to know why. Also, what temperature is your Voloom set at? Lastly, do you have any cheaper recommendations for a "round" blow dryer brush? Thank you, Summer! ❤
I have a conair stationary heat brush. It was $39.00 ish and it was more gentle on my fine, thin hair than the smaller Revlon round heat brush. The revlon had alot more hair breakage in the bristles…the conair had hardly any hair breakage in the brush. The conair had more gentle bristles. The revlons bristles were farther apart. Either of them work miracles with multiple cowlicks….
I have fine hair and long. do you like this hair dryer? better then tyco. I looking at the reviews and they are not good. But what is your thought on the T-3
Your hair looks really nice. But personally I'd feel uncomfortable putting all that product on my hair . And all the faffing about. I guess , I'll just have to settle for flat limp hair. lol
Thanks! I'm a natural redhead but it's gotten dull some as I've gotten older. Now I just do gold subtle highlights with a copper low light to keep it natural looking.
The dryer doesn't flatten them out much at all. I may use the Voloom on a couple pieces but 90% of the time I don't use it again til my next wash and blow dry. The Voloom I find to hold really well
I PROMISE you it REALLY isn’t nearly as much work as it seems because Summer is giving us a Step by Step, stopping to explain each step! I have VERY fine, thinning hair with this same Cut and I can do this blowout in less than 10 Minutes!! I’m not NEARLY as precise with the sections at ALL but I do use the same steps and technique with my T3 and it works!! In 10 minutes or less I have a really nice blowout thanks to Summer’s technique! It’s true that my blowout doesn’t last as many days as hers because I’m not as precise but I’m MORE than happy with the results I get with my 10 minute blowout!! ❤️🌹
Thank you for showing us how to use the root lift. I bought it and wasn’t sure how to use it. Also Summer, where is the leave-in conditioner? Where is the heat protection?😢😢😢😢😢
Never has a stylist ever given me volume when blow drying and styling my hair. They pull it straight down, plastered to my head. I always hate it and have to wear a hat home, haha! I just bought a Voloom upon your recommendation. Thanks!

Me too! I always ask for volume (and I have thick hair with lots of body) and I leave with the hair plastered to my head and it looks thin. I don't get it! I immediately re-blow dry when I get home!
A lot of stylists have done the same with my hair, even though I stress I want it lifted at the root. It’s like talking Swahili!
That is what this is!
I bought one of these and I had no idea how to use it. I almost got rid of it but you’ve shown me how to use it. Thank you!
Could you please do a video on styling side swept bangs? thank you
Yes!!
Believe it or not, my hair is more stick-straight than yours and perhaps finer. I too “live for volume” and find it so difficult to maintain any ooomph in my hair for any length of time. Thank you for this video, I found much of it to be a huge learning curve ❤️
I am so happy to hear that! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!
WOW! This is the best hair video that I've ever watched. Thank you for showing me how to actually use my blowout brush!
Thank you for this. Just when I needed it. I plan on getting a bob after watching all your videos for fine hair.
Wonderful!
Okay so next thing I need her to show me is what she does with her hair on the days wher it hasn't been washed! Pleeeeeaaaaaase tell me how to manage the fine thin hair on those days.

Yes the pyramid is the worst!
Totally agree!

I definitely don't use enough product! I bought a mini hair crimper from Babyliss I think it was like 20 bucks works the same as that expensive one! You explain things so well!
I’m so glad I watched this. I’ve only been doing one layer of voloom. I am going to try it with two layers today. Thank you!
Oh more than one layer makes all the difference! I often use it everywhere underneath 😂. I'm a bit of an addict though when it comes to volume!
Love your hair color and style! Thanks for sharing tips for thin hair. ❤
You are so welcome!
Best hair tutorial i ever came across ❤
I have baby fine hair, and mine isn’t as thick as yours, but I’m going to try this. Thank you so much for sharing.
You’re welcome 😊

I just barely learned how to do this! I learned a lot from this video! Thank you for this video.
Awesome! It gets easier with time!
What about a heat protectant? Also, can you do a video hair over 60 - and growing out the grey? SIlver SIsters need you!!! Love your channel.
Love this video. I have the oval brush but I am going to also get the round brush. I do section but I let some of the damp hair sit on the dried sections. Will work on that. I may be getting. Valoom also. Thanks for all the great tips.
The Voloom is a complete game changer! It's a tool I can't live without!
thank you for this tutorial, helpful for novices like me!
I'm so happy to hear this!
Wish u were my hairdresser🌷🌷🌷
I love the newer blow dryer brush from T3 its the Airebrush love it so much!
This is the larger oval shape one right!?
Beautiful Summer!!! Thanks for the tips on the previous fine, thin haircut and this styling tutorials!!
Amazing results and a great tutorial. You’re a master with your T3.
Thanks so much!
Such a detailed tutorial. Love it.
Im waiting when airwrap will gonna have this type of round brush as an accessory, i need this 🤩👌👍🏻
I am dying for their large brush attachment to come back in stock! I don't like any of their attachments really because my hair is just so fine and straight but the actual power for drying is great as far as blowout brushes go. So when I saw they came out with a larger round brush I was excited.
Beautiful job I started my own Bob after seeing you do yours❤
Woohoo!
I have a perm that is growing out so I am trying too start the Bob myself if you have any suggestions I could use the help TY
Great tutorial thanks! I really enjoy your presentation
thank you! excited to try this but I see myself making a knot or getting it stuck in my hair.
I love your hair- would you do a video on how to tease- if we do not have a voloom... or is there an alternative to the voloom ? thank you
Hi Summer, I love your videos. Can you tell us your formula and how you get your amazing hair colour. I have been trying for years to achieve this color and have an entire book full of formulas that I've tried.
Can you also do a video using the flat brush attachment that comes with this blow dryer?
Hi Summer, besides the great hair, I could not go past your beautiful eyebrows, did you do them yourself? Can you do a tutorial about your eyebrows please? Thank you 🥰
Thank you! They are microbladed so I don't have to put hardly any effort into them!
Thank you for all the tips! Great video!!
For older women with oily, very thin hair, what products do you recommend?
That looks fabulous
Thank you!
Thank you Summer for this it's appreciated 💖
Great video! I have a long bob, fine hair, and stick straight. 😉
The T3 barrel seems way long and heavy requiring both hands. I have a conair, revelon, and dyson. I can roll all barrels with 1 hand, while the other hand guides the roll up. What is the weight of the T3?
Thanks so much. Why don't you buy a revolving round brush hairdryer? X
I have tried them and I'm not a fan for myself.
You are a game changer !
Love youuuu❤❤❤
Love, love, love this tutorial.👌
Thanks so much 😊
I've never been very disciplined about sectioning my hair while blow drying, but I am really going to try this next time! Thank you for such a good explanation of how to do this with a round blow dryer brush! I agree ... give me all the volume, then give me more! I do have a Voloom, and I just love it!

Bravo👏👏👏sooo gorgeous😃Isn't it ridiculous how good this makes us feel?🤣
I have silver hair and use purple colored products to keep the yellow out as much as possible. Will the products you are using yellow my hair?
great instructive video!!! I love the voloom, too - which I bought after watching your video on it. It iis great.
I notice you are using a Rootie with your longer hair. I bought a Petite (which I love). What do like about the Rootie?
It's life changing!
I am actually using the largest size here! I have all 3 sizes lol. I used to use the rootie only but like the large size for maz coverage bc I'm obsessed with volume! The petite is perfect too cause it's right in the middle!
@@StylesBySummer oh! I thought the color was turquoise! :D glad I asked! I guess the rootie is more for short hair.
What is the temperature setting of the voloom and is it adjustable?
you teach wonderfully, thank you
You're very welcome!
Great video! I noticed you didn't use a heat protectant though and curious to know why. Also, what temperature is your Voloom set at? Lastly, do you have any cheaper recommendations for a "round" blow dryer brush?
Thank you, Summer! ❤
I honestly just forgot! The voloom I set anywhere between 300-320 for my hair and Chi has a round blowout brush option that's $80 amzn.to/3SGFm8k
@@StylesBySummer thank you!!!🙏🏼

Can't edit to add another question. The duo has a round brush, I don't need the duo but it seems like the single brush has an oval, not round brush??
Haven't watched the video yet, but just popped in to say that you look fabulous in that color yellow!
Hi! Thank you so much!
Love your channel and you of course 😊
Thank you so much!!
Beautiful hair ❤
Thank you!

Добрый день! Подскажите пожалуйста в какой технике и последовательности выполнено ваше окрашивание?
How in the world do u get this style to stay all day tho? Mine would pull flat as soon as I walk outside. Ugh! 😢
how long does the hair spray help hold the hairstyle?
Looks great!

Thanks for the nice video 🙏

Can you list the products you’re using?
They are linked in the description

It's the T3 Airebrush Duo. It's linked in the description.

Thanks! I'm a natural redhead but it's gotten dull some as I've gotten older. Now I just do gold subtle highlights with a copper low light to keep it natural looking.
Love, life is too short for this ....

How do you reshape the 2nd day hair when you have the crimping there. Do you just skip those sections and focus on the ends only?
The dryer doesn't flatten them out much at all. I may use the Voloom on a couple pieces but 90% of the time I don't use it again til my next wash and blow dry. The Voloom I find to hold really well

Oops, I did forget! Breaking my cardinal rule!
Great Job...............too much work for me.
Is your hair thick?
What size of a Caloocan ?
If I put that amount of products in my fine blond bob, I promise you it would be a flat greasy mess - more the pity!
