Awwww work top looking gd you shd be proud of your self becks and rubs candle bottom n top of cupboards and doors makes for a quick easy fix and it works done many times myself at 77 I no it works my gran always did it keep up they’d work I no Chris will help tc now both Ann n David 👋😉👍

Use a bit of candle wax on the runners for the sliding doors will make them slide better
I'd use Briwax on the doors ...can get dark wax and a lighter wax ...does stink for a few days but does a nice job ...done a lot of wood in my camper van with briwax

Yes I know I am watching vlogs from the past century but I do have a very serious question for you Becca. How the hell did you manage to cut the slots for the biscuits so accurately???? From all of my years around wood and contractors I have never seen such work. I know that you are very talented but that takes the perogy.

Ship carpentry is the most difficult. Nothing is straight, plum or level and she did a great job! My compliments. Looks great!

You are an absolute nut case Chris, LOL, I mean that in the nicest way, just so much fun watching you two. Beccs we’re doing work on our house, how about a holiday in Australia and come out and help, Chris you and I can supervise, you’ve done a absolutely great job Bec. We put oil on a kitchen bench once, really it needed a tough epoxy on it, the oil marks easily, and we had to do it more than once a year, but mate, it looks brilliant, I’m so super impressed. That guy disgusting himself as a kid really looked sus even from that distance. Funny, funny vlog, thanks heaps guys. See you soon. 💕

Hey Chris I worded that badly, when I said “the oil marks” I didn’t mean it stain as ours didn’t do that but with oil the timber has no protection from bumps, bangs, knife marks etc. The oil just makes it look pretty but the timber needs protection from knives, dropped heavy things etc. Just be aware without an epoxy protection you need to always use a chopping board when cutting you veggies etc up. But really it looks great, I love that timber look, I’m so impressed with what you’re doing, when it’s finished you’re going to look back and go “wow we did that”, I do that mowing the lawn, looks so good after. LOL, no comparison. 💕
Oh I see, yes we will probably ly use chopping boards, i do wonder if it would stain from coffer cups? Time will tell I suppose. Oh so super chuffed with beccas handy work...one day I will be able to look back at all my hard work 😄

That kitchen work surface is a work of art! Like Becca, I’d be constantly touching it too! If you have a dewalt multitool it will make light work of getting the cork off. Mine’s just taken off some heavily glued on vinyl tiles a treat. Congrats on reaching (almost) interior design phase!
isn't it, she's done so well bless her, oh ok...yes maybe we need the multi tool then...it just seamed like a very heavy machine to use for such a flimsy bit of cork haha...yes full steam ahead thank you so much :)

haha boats come in all different shapes and forms...we love them all, I think a lot of it looks worse than it actually is, no need to panic :)

Ballast? Hang on....if the bottom of the boat is so heavily overplated, will you even need ballast? Keep in mind that buoyancy might be different in Earth atmosphere than on your home planet.
The worktop looks wonderful. The idea of doing paint details on the wood could be really effective. I suspect less is more in that case--the Danish oil will make all the different wood colours more analogous, as if you had intended that effect right froim the start.
