Nice observation that Isard's military power diminished considerably after Coruscant's fall. The remnants of the Empire lost a lot of respect for her when she let the capital fall. Great video, Corey! Love watching these and hearing your thoughts on all this fantastic lore!
@@papapalps2415 I mean by the time he was writing Isaard's Revenge she was stealing the Lusankya back to bring to Byss. So integrating Dark Empire wasn't totally against his will. I had just figured she was sure she'd lose Coruscant to the Rebels or another Warlord and figured she'd strike at the beings she hated most. Sure it's petty, but some people are like that. Of course giving up Coruscant is what let sever Warlords who'd been at least paying lipservice to her and the Ruling Council stop bothering with even that.
@@papapalps2415 I do feel like there should have been a couple ISDs instead of just victories backing up those Golans, but it was a LOT of golans. Or a B-plot about her losing the respect of the actual fighting men of the empire. The Imperial Archives being captured intact was something he couldn't change since books set after had said as much. And the lack of widespread destruction in the capture of the planet too. Other than a few cooks and court tailors getting lynched.
7:22 Yeah a lot of mods will use a downscaled version of the Another Chance which it was built to escort as the "Thranta class" Since there IS art of another chance. I think Phoenix Rising and uh, AotR both do this.
This was outstanding Corey! The renders look great! And the Bacta War is easily one of my favorite parts of all of SW. I'm looking foward to the next one, but I'll be more excited if you intent to take this all the way to the Vong War! I feel like those campaigns will make awesome videos! Thanks again for all the hard work!
I purposely waited til the bacta war audiobook to come out so after I read it I could come watch this video. Not disappointed in the slightest. Thank you
The effort compared to views is criminal. But we don’t live in a perfect world, so I’m just thankful for you giving these your all. Love it man keep being amazing and sharing the love of Legends with others
I wonder what the better scale-up would be for the twice as well armed and more than twice as big and probably durable later stats for the Executor class. Because I feel like two ISDs would need some other capitals to help divide fire. Espescially since it was only one ISD for a while there. I would have had Sorosuub "Donate" some privateer Dauntlesses.
I would have probably mixed in some Actions and light freighters and Xixytars (or however it's spelled) if you had em for the freighters doing the missile spam. But otherwise really good.
Were the freighters mentioned to be Gallofrees in the book? Seeing all those Gallofrees in formation in the video is a bit goofy, especially since the EAW team has Action IV/Interceptor IV models that could be interspersed in there. Other than that, great video!
There was at least one mention in The Bacta War book of a "disc like Correllian light freighter" being destroyed by Lusankya after the first missile/torpedo salvo at Thyferra. And also mention that at least a few of the freighters the Rogues had armed, had joined them because their owners had lost so badly when gambling against a pair of the Rogues - which would suggest a mismatched mass of many different models of freighter. Of course, modelling that would be a pain in the proverbial, so using Gallofrees to fill in makes sense.
I very much assumed that freighter fleet would have been a hodge-podge of many ship types, considering that Booster Terrik was a smuggler and also working very closely with Karrde's crime syndicate during this time.
Thus ends the (initial) Rogue Squadron saga of the X-Wing novels... will await the Wraith Squadron saga and those two epilogue novels featuring the return of the Rogues. Alderaan should be a shattered field of rocks, by the way, not a planet. Also, can somebody please make an accurate design for the Thranta?
7:54 The captain of a ship called Avarice was bribed. Bravo Stackpole. George Lucas would be proud.

I love the KOTOR 2 music

Speaking of the ending of the Lusankya, it would be cool to see the Borleias campaign Wedge fought during the Yuuzhan Vong war.

Love these videos, Corey! It's clear how much time and dedication you put into the lore and animation. Keep up the great work!
I always love reading the the X-wing series. Nice to see the animation layout. Plus being a Yohnka is nice to be mentioned

Great video, really looking forward to putting that executor model into action myself.
Corey’s channel is one of the all time best Star Wars lore channels
Just about to get to Isard's Revenge in my reread. Excellent summation of the first few books!
love this series

Also, those blocklike freighters from the X-Wing games (forgot their names, sorry).

Yonka is pretty damn awesome, for an Imp(formerly)

A lot of mods will just use the looks of the Another Chance itself and label it a "Thranta"
midi-controlled torpedo launchers
The events that lead up to _Star Wars: the Old Republic_ and/or _Star Wars: Galaxies_ …
Wait it's pronounced Traytan? I thought Treuten was pronounced so you could say "Rootin Tootin Treuten Teradoc" and have it all flow.
Personally, I've been calling him Frooty Trooty.
I like the series, but i feel like proton torpedos got way OP to justify victories.
Even I Legends I quickly got tired by the unconventional methods how the Rebels won their battles.
first.
I feel so accomplished
