I really like Gene Simmons. Very cool guy. Been a fan since 1975.
Gene Simmons is precisely the type of guy who saw Robocop at the cinema, and walked out to complain to the manager that he purchased the movie ticket for more than one dollar, and that the movie was mocking him for this fact.
Gene is always candid in his responses to media interviews. We like it or not.

Gene acts like he's hasn't been famous for 50 years and doesn't have enough money for the rest of his life. I've heard stories about him doing meet and greets at conventions and he has partitions set up to where you can't even get a glimpse of him unless you pay.
Gene, you're in your 70s and you're not taking the money with you. If I were in his position, I'd play for very little money (like $300) just cover my hotel and plane ticket and I'd be meeting the fans after the show for free. Rewarding all of those fans that bought tickets, merchandise and albums so I didn't have to continue being a school teacher for the rest of my life.
Okay and who's going to fit into that venue how many people are going to be able to go it'll still be the same Rich assholes who can afford it and not you cuz they'll buy the tickets first
@@jacquestube You can easily do a 5,000 seat arena. It doesn't have to be a 20,000 seat place. I'd price tickets at $25 upper level, $35 lower and $45 for floor. Taking the mean, it's a $35 average ticket price x 5000 seats. Which equals $175,000 for one show.
Let's say it's $25,000 to rent the building and it's 15,000 to pay the crew. You're still looking at $135,000 profit, not to mention merchandise sales.
Plus of those fans that didn't try to beat traffic, it's easy to do meet and greets and meet fans afterwards in a smaller venue like a 5,000 seat arena. Gene is just too greedy for his own good.
