- Straight from the set of the new James Bond flick: the Aston Martin DB5. And straight from a budget storage facility outside Stevenage: The Stig. Together, they shall drift - shaken not stirred. But did we hear VANOS coming in on that 50-year old Aston? 🤔

Not the first time Bond jumped into BMW! I swear I saw a video saying that they took the engine noises from Ferrari back in the day and dubbed them over the db5. I haven't seen anything about that since though, so I could be wrong af lol. Either way I doubt they're using the stock M3 sound for the movies, there's certainly some sound dubbing going on nowadays.

Because this particular DB5 is... not exactly a DB5. Even Aston themselves admit that underneath it got some... Bavarian origin. From early 2000s.

Some say he doesn't care if his martini is shaken or stirred all we know is he's called The Stig👍 anyone else thought this was blasphemy for me I thought it was an original standard db5 and then realised I don't even think that's an Aston engine inside their sounds more like a Honda anyway that was fantastic really enjoyed that can you do the Lexus LC 500 at some point please thank you Top Gear very entertaining😂👍

Well, that powerplant made it easier than the gutless (but nice sounding) original v12, and Stig coulda linked those two corners, instead he fiddled too much with the steering.
And could have been closer to apex, and the edge on exit.
But still, not everyone gets to drive an Aston, much less a DB5, in anger, and he didnt crash, and those were pretty smooth slides, pretty nice :D
DB5 came with a 4.0-litre straight-6, not a V12. Still flaccid though.
