Ren was running there in the middle of the night, but was just a few minutes too late. He has an album Freckled Angels dedicated to Joe, as well as, For Joe, which is newer and filmed in Calgary, Canada where he is getting treatment for his Lyme Disease. He has been through years of living in his room ill and having a psychotic break after years of misdiagnosis. If you know these things then you pick up much more of the double meanings and deeper meanings to his lyrics regarding illness, both mental and physical.
