Take note that in SMC, you are not restricted by these themes, meaning you can mix and match them to your liking. Heck, you can even create your own themes with certain background and tile set combinations, such as the Crimson.

One thing that's great about Mario Construct is that there arn't "set themes" you have the freedom to combine whatever tiles you want to make your own themes essentially. The possibillites are more open.

But theres night themes which affect levels, better physics, less glitches, no stolen assets because SMC takes the level styles from SMMM2, so the answer: no.

Uuuh SMC didnt stoled any sprites, some of them are from SMW, the others are fanmade sprites, also you have more freedom to create custom themes, more enemies and more powerups. So the answer: Yes.

You should consider checking super mario maker:world engine it's a kind of a port of mario maker 2 with the same assets but it's still not finished yet but overall it is a pretty solid mario maker fangame
