Clicking and holding is much better than shaking. The controls are only better to me. It gives you the same options as before AND you can do normal buttons if you want.

Thanks for this quality video, I never had SMM on the Wii u and I bought SMM2, and before seeing your video I didn´t knew that there were that much new content on the new one 😁
9:25 "However, I don't see an option to record your own voice anymore". The Switch doesnt have a microphone omg why am I dying 🤣🤣
It does for example in fortnite you can use voice chat w/o phone app
@@steppebandit1381 you need a headset plugged in
The resolution alone doesn't make it look practically identical. It's a very nice upgrade.
I love this game, but I never played the original. It’s like little big planet, Nintendo edition.
Hijynx87 yep. But let’s be real... nothing beats LBP
@@demonicmind1242 but lets be real LBP hasn't been relevant in like 7 years
@@OversizedSausage it's such a shame LBP died the way it did. It was such an incredible level design tool, and it's a shame it seems to have died after 3
@@demonicmind1242 This beats LBP. Hands down. This isn't to say LBP is not great.
spectreknight Not really, you could do SO much more with LBP. You can still do a lot with Mario Maker but it’s much more limited
I... I don't even play Mario Maker, why did I watch this? Great video though, way more in-depth and useful than some other forms of comparison I've seen.
Really good video because I don't have these games or care about them and you still got me to watch the whole thing!
0:18 Who else died inside when he ignored the mushroom
Zackbozz I did
Actually he tried to go for the mushroom, With no jumps
8:49 I loved this new 3ds interface ♥♥
So far, I am enjoying the sequel. The only downside is that I don't have Nintendo Switch Online so I'm not able to play course world, but I've finished story mode and I'm making my own levels so that hopefully someday I'll be able to publish them. 👷🏻♂️
HuntDaBoi I also don’t have Nintendo Online. I find it a cheap way for them to get more money; I always respected Nintendo for not buying into the ignorance of Xbox and PlayStation for making you pay more money just to play online, and although it is significantly less per year than on the PlayStation and Xbox, I still have lost respect.
No Mystery Mushroom? That was one of the best parts! 😤
Clicking and holding is much better than shaking. The controls are only better to me. It gives you the same options as before AND you can do normal buttons if you want.
so we got slopes but we lost amiibo costumes
a small price to pay for salvation
'"small"
I'm not saying that slopes aren't as good as amiibo costumes, but still. "small"?
@@tomsyalad9556 Yes, small.
It was just a bunch of costumes availlable in 1 world.
Tom Rogers yes it is a small feature we lost
They could easily make the costumes available in 3d styles too just make them chibi or whatever

Got recomended this, wow nice vid
Look at this weeb😂👋naaaah jk this vid helped alot and yeah your right😎🔥🔥🔥🔥
Most important feature: The starting ground can now connect with placed ground.
Is nobody going to mention the secret falling sounds from MM1? That was one of my favorite things because of the humor and creativity they put into it, and sometimes it would help me relax and laugh at a level rather than get angry at it.
2:34 how adorable
0:18 Who else died inside when he missed the mushroom
In Mario maker 2 you can pin items to the tool bar by selecting and holding it down.
0:55 I thought he was talking about the 3DS vs Switch not wii u vs Switch
Well super mario maker for wii u and 3ds are almost the same
1:46 But Mario 3D World on Wii U was actually 3D, so I wouldn't call MM2's 900p Mario 2D World template a great improvement.
It’s still 3D even though it’s a sidescroller.
I cant wait for SMMKer 3 😄👌 in like 4 more years so dashie can keep making episodes.....
7:22 His voice lol
0:18 I'm triggered and you know why
@• RichieFoxyYT • ye😂
How do you make bullet bills shoot towards the screen in MM2 like shown @ 1:48???
You must click on the arrow many times to turn it towards the screen i think
@@LD-_0606 I tried that, it only went from left, right, up, and down.
I remember being HYPED for Mario Maker 2 back in 2019! The idea of making courses with brand new features and parts sounded magical!
I don't care about slight graphic changes, I like the new added on items.
Why did you click on this video then..??
@@manimanistatue I figured there would be a larger difference.
