That's honestly sad to think about. Especially considering he has stated that he never had any intention to stop, so someone else must have made the choice to replace him.
@@psychicchicken5263 i agree, it is really sad. I mean Nintendo could reuse Charles Martinet's voice in future Mario games alongside Kevin Afghani (like switching between voice actor) sence Nintendo just said that Martinet wouldn't record anymore voice lines and said nothing about them reusing his voice in future Mario games, the possibility is still there but i doubt it sence Afghani is the new voice actor, and that we will only hear Martinet's voice in rereleases only but we'll see what Nintendo does.

Super Mario Land 1 is more than just a "black and white desert". Every world consisted of a different theme: sand, water, Easter Island (I guess, the origin of the Moai Statues in real life), Japan (but not really Japan). In the second and fourth boss levels, you drove a submarine and an airplane to defeat the boss. It was also Princess Daisy's introduction to the series, back in 1989. Pity it's not on the Switch Online service. It's a great game!
Mario Maker 3 actually now more likely because got two update data just for some bugs and fixes but that means that they're definitely going to be Mario Maker 3
dude nsmb ds would be so cool because the blue shell and the mega mushroom would be back!! and if they added 3d game styles to this new game then it should be called "Super Mario Maker 3D"

Switches could have the ability to morph the terrain just like in the original (Red Rings are already in SMM2 I think) PIVOTS! NSMB2 had those. They should add them. And also selecting blocks would give you the option to make them revolve around a certain pivot (very high customizability), along with the pivots getting different types of rotations MARIO 64 has A LOT of potential in a 3D Mario Maker (trust me, it wouldn't work so well in 2D) BUT Mario's extended moveset from that game could be adapted into 2D Mario Maker (only in the newer styles tho). It should also be toggleable. Mario Sunshine is the same as Mario 64. A good compromise for 2D Mario Maker would be a new theme based on Sunshine and a Fludd powerup. Wario Land would be a separate style because it's drastically different from Mario games (because of status effects and other stuff) I don't think Super Paper Mario would work. But I could always be proven wrong Mario vs. Donkey Kong could have it's Switch mechanic added into main Mario Maker. A level editor would work better for the actual game though, probably a thing Nintendo MAY be working on at the moment. Mario's new moves from other games can also be adapted and toggleable (again). Hope I made some good points, and I really want you to reply to this to hear your opinion.
Honestly, I think they should put certain styles under all one style. idk if that makes sense, but for a example, why don't we merge SMW, with its sequel, Yoshi's Island? or, if they actually add another New Super game theme, why don't we add New Super DS, DS 2, Wii, AND U all in one package? Or The Land Games as one package too? like, wouldn't it be cool to beat up Bowser as Yoshi? or Mario, jumping on shy guys? what about Beating a Koopaling with the penguin suit? I think this would be awesome, its a No-Brainer to me.
7:00 the ds moveset is also completely different than the Wii u as it doesn't have a twirl button, and a lot of other things has changed between the 2 definitely a style that they should make

Super Mario Maker 3. That will be good. With Game Styles. 1. Super Mario Bros. 2. Super Mario Bros 2. 3. Super Mario Bros 3. 4. Super Mario Land 1. 5. Super Mario Land 2. 6. Wario Land 1. 2. 3. And 4. 7. Super Mario World. 8. Super Mario World 2 Yoshi Island with yoshi colors. 9. New Super Mario Bros Wii along with New Super Mario Bros 2 3DS 10. New Super Mario Bros U along with Super Mario Galaxy. 11. Super Mario 3D World along with Mario Vs Donkey Kong. 12. Super Mario Bros Wonder along with Paper Mario. 13. Super Mario N64 along with super Mario Odyssey. I know that'll be useful for Nintendo switch 2 console.
It would be cool if they added both Super Mario Land themes and had a button to switch between them instead of them being separate themes. They could also add the button to the original themes (New Super Mario Bros. U changed to the DS version. Mario Bros 1 2 3 and World changed to their All-Star versions).
If a new console really comes later this year, or Q1 2025, as some suggested now, I'd be pretty positive Nintendo is in the process of cooking up a 3rd Mario Maker and it might even be released in the 2025 10-year anniversary of the original Mario Maker. If it's not going to include a 3D maker, I would need to see some really unique features added not just new course parts, course themes and all that would obviously come. I could go on about all the new features that would make it a better game. Like Multiple sub areas (2 or 3) in every game style, background sub areas in Mario Wonder in a 3D World and potential Mario Wonder style would be cool, multiplayer NEEDS upgrades and new features, and course world needs to be better with a higher upload limit, course search by name, multiple super worlds, longer super worlds, super world game styles. Etc. Anyways, stuff like that despite not having a 3D maker, I still think would really reinvent Mario Maker for a new console and make it a fundamentally better game overall. But a 3D Course Maker would be awesome, I just don't think Nintendo would go that far yet. There's still a lot to a 2D Mario Maker that can be added
I honestly don't care what they do with Mario Maker 3, but one thing they NEED to do is abolish the Nintendo Online feature, Mario Maker 2 wasn't really good without a subscription to Nintendo Online, you couldn't play Course World without a subscription and that's the most important part of Mario Maker, playing others levels and uploading your own levels.
2:58 there could be half tiles instead of full ones 12:06 they could have it so that it works with any 2d style Mario styles so you could probably enter as Odyssey and end up with super mario world gameplay.
9:20 theres already 2d sections in the galaxy games as shown in the video so either their going to copy the assets or just not include it because they have already done 2d in galaxy
The only ones who have a chance are Super Mario Land 2, New Super Mario Bros. (DS) and Super Mario Bros. Wonder But I doubt they will add the first two because: - they would have already added them in previous games if they had a real chance - Super Mario Land 2 is black and white, and Super Mario Maker relies heavily on colors, so it's a problem. it could only be added if they added colors, but it would be a very haevy change. If perhaps they were publishing a game in which Super Mario Land games are joined in one and in color ... perhaps it would have the possibility of being added. - New Super Mario Bros. (DS) has more possibilities than the other because it is a little different from New Super Mario Bros. U, for graphics, mechanics, power ups etc ... Nintendo chooses game styles based on the criteria: -the game must have power ups, including the super mushroom, the fire flower, the Super Star, the 1-up mushroom And another power up different from all other game styles (With Super Mario Maker 2 the minimum of new Power Ups has become 2 and probably with Super Mario Maker 3 it will become 3) -the character should have at least one more or less move that differentiates it from the other game styles -There must be the classic Super Mario Bros. 1 blocks For the first two criteria Super Mario Bros. The Lost Levels can never be added, since it is the same as the original. While due to the first criterion, none of the 3D games can be included, as they have a completely different power ups system. The only 3D game that could be added is Super Mario 3D Land, but it's too similar to 3D World and the same thing goes for Bowser's Fury. Super Mario Bros. 2 is too different from all other games. it could not even be put in the "other game styles" section because 3d world differs from the others in the difference in some enemies and blocks... SMB.2 It has nothing in common with other games. for example the power ups are few and behave differently from smb.1. I doubt they will add Super Paper Mario ... Super Mario Bros. Wonder seems made to be in Super Mario Maker 3: he has all the characters available, A set of moves a little different from the others, 3 new Power Ups in addition to the SMB.1 classics, etc... I doubt, however, that they will add all those enemies and the wonder effects.
I think we should have the castle theme without lava, volcano, tower, rock, dedicated boss rooms as well as changing music for themes like an outdoor castle
10:39 iv played a fan made game where your using odyssey move set in a 2d space and it felt confusing and hard(probably because they tried to fit the controls on a nes controller but i degras)
No, they do not need to add multiple styles. 1 is enough. Mario Wonder is almost guaranteed to be the one they do. They really only need to flesh out the toolbox in my opinion. Such as adding all the color variations for yoshi is SMW.
You actually missed the game I'd most like to see in a Super Mario Maker 3, Mario vs Donkey Kong: Mini-land Mayhem! (NDS). In this game, the Mini-Marios are basically lemmings. Rather than controlling the player, you're flipping switches, drawing and erasing bridges, moving warp pipes, etc. in real time as the Mini-Marios just keep marching forward. Heck, it's likely we wouldn't have a Super Mario Maker series without the 'Construction Zone' from this game and its sequel on DS which allowed players to design and share levels with each other. While a mode which switches game play from first person platformer to something more akin to the Lemmings series might seem like a stretch, it should be noted that the mechanics needed are already in the game. It's basically real time toolbox to guide the Mini-Marios to the exit.
Heck, if they introduced this game into the fold then just about any level created could be played either in Platformer mode or a Lemmings/ Toolbox Model with the Mini-Marios.
In mario maker 3 there should be special coins, like in geometry dash where if you find like a secret room with one instead of giving 1ups or 50 coins there's a special coin that can be collected for special things like, buying new accessories, ect.
Ok so I’ve been listening to your videos for awhile now, as well as RGT85 and Switch Force. I gotta tell ya, the only game I’ve been fully engulfed in for the last 3 years is Mario Maker 2. I’m born in 1980 so those 1st 4 2D Mario games were my childhood and to play endless new courses everyday with the same look n sound is absolutely mind blowing. 44,500 courses beat so far. I’m nervous about the changes a 3rd game may bring and having to start fresh. Wish they would just give us 1 last MAJOR DLC with more enemies, power ups, Yoshis, better leaderboard n achievements, along with maybe a Wonder and M vs DK style.. what a game already though!!!! Wish more would revisit it or buy n create fresh
Super Mario 64/Sunshine/Galaxy would be interesting styles because of the implication that you could put the level goal anywhere. Even more so when you consider the possibility of Silver Stars or Blue Coins serving the same role for Power Stars or Shine Sprites respectively (or Red Coins for both) as Pink Coins do for Keys.
Can we talk about the possibilities a Mario is Missing style for Mario Maker could have? We already push the limits of making quiz levels with spot the difference levels, or guess whose the fastest or math through symbol levels..... and I for one am always wanting to push my ability to write an actual narrative into my levels through the limits of what parts I have available, and giving the course a descriptive title that tells you how to look at. But if we could type up our own trivia questions, and set up a long running quest to find Mario, Carmen Sandiego style, there's a lot more room to add narrative there.
I think you are missing the Mario All Stars Styles, they look great on SNES and maybe they should be implemented as alternative styles to SMB1, 2 and 3. Also, I would add grabbable items from SMB2 to the other styles, SMB3 on the GBA added some new stages with the e-reader that mixed different elements from the other mario games that work pretty well together.
ok important question if they made kirby maker, which will be the games styles? i think they could be -kirby's adventure -kirby super star -kirby and the amazing mirror -kirby star allies and for the extra one would be kirby and the forgotten land
Imo, the most likely additions are: Regular styles: - New Super Mario Bros - All Stars version of either Bros or Bros 3 Bonus styles: - Super Mario Bros 2 ....either. - Super Mario Wonder. It could work as a regular style simply by its unique appearance, but because of just how many new enemies and mechanics were added in wonder, could function as a Bonus Style as well where most of these mechanics are implemented
Here's my ranking of many Super Mario games by likelihood of being in SMM3 (besides the ones that are in SMM2): 23: Wario Land- Not really a Mario game, different characters, etc. 22: Galaxy 2- Too similar to Galaxy. 21: The Lost Levels- Practically the same as SMB, but with smiley faces. 20: New Soup Wii- Too similar to NSMBU. 19: Paper Mario- Not necessarily a platformer. 18: Princess Peach Showtime- Not a mainline game, but has some original enemies, power-ups, and mechanics. 17: Yoshi's Island- Very different, not really a mainline game. 16: Donkey Kong- Not much to work with. 15: DK Country- Not a mainline game, but with some fun, original enemies and art style. 14: Sunshine- Not much originality, wouldn't translate well into 2D. 13: Mario Bros- Very little actually in the game, not much to work with. 12: New Soup 2- Too similar to NSMBU. 11: 3D Land- Kind of a different vibe, but still not very original. 10: Mario Land- We already have the Superball, and SML2 is just more interesting. 9: New Soup- Kind of a cool, pixel-y graphic style, and a lot of new enemies. 8: Mario vs. DK- A fun, puzzle-based style, but not a mainline game. 7: Mario 2- Very cool art style, but the SMB2 mushroom already exists. 6: Odyssey- Cool graphics, might translate well to 2D, but not all that much would be original besides the capture gimmick. 5: Captain Toad- Nice puzzle-y style, but in graphics, near-identical to SM3DW. 4: Mario 64- Iconic graphics, and very interesting enemies. 3: Mario Land 2- Very fun art style, wacky enemies, and original graphics. 2: Galaxy- Awesome gimmicks, would translate very well to 2D. 1: Wonder- Perfect for SMM3. 'Nuff said. Bonus: All-Stars or Advance- Cool 2D graphics, but not original in design or enemies. Super Bonus: Mario Movie- Why is this even a consideration??????
The only reason they didn't have a Maker Mode in Mario Vs. Donkey Kong remake was because the original game also didn't have one. So it makes sense why. It was the sequels that got the Level Maker addition.
Paper Mario style could also be unique in how you have hp instead of whatever tier of power up. Maybe even allow creators to set your hp and atk stats for the level. Could be interesting.
It would be really cool if they add a feature that you make a sprite and you give it a command for example you make a red koopa sprite and you give it the koopa command
Funfact: In New Super Mario Wii, there was a black hole item scrapped from the game called "enreverse4", it functioned just like the white platforms from smb3 but it's not timed unless you reach another "enreverse4" and then the spell goes off, (and once again you can go through walls and enemies and not get damaged).
I feel like they should let you choose how you want your game style to act like so you could stand on enemies in mario bros 1 but also they should figure out how to make most items work in other game styles, not all but most.
I agree with all mario Style makers that can be added to the next mario maker game , , Ibwould like to see added is Super Mario 3d Land New Super Mario bros.2 for the 3ds
I want a video on missing course parts. Not items, background themes, power ups, enemies/bosses just things that are like the rotating ground, water geizers, second endings, invsible pathways, cannon pipes, chain link fences from the existing and mentioned styles. Stuff that nobody else said.
I get the impression that what they wanted to add to Maker 2 was Mario 2, Mario Land, and something Zelda, they just had to stop and released what they had finished so far. If they did a Mario 2 one alone I'd be thrilled, but also be thrilled if they continued to fill out the powerups and characters still missing from the old styles in Mario Maker 2. I don't know about any of the 3D maker styles...it would take some incredible enthusiasts with a lot of time and patience to make decent 3D levels I'm sure. Anyways this video makes me want to go turn on this game and check on the levels I put online. :-)

Nintendo chooses game styles based on the criteria:
-the game must have power ups, including the super mushroom, the fire flower, the Super Star, the 1-up mushroom And another power up different from all other game styles (With Super Mario Maker 2 the minimum of new Power Ups has become 2 and probably with Super Mario Maker 3 it will become 3)
-the character should have at least one more or less move that differentiates it from the other game styles
-There must be the classic Super Mario Bros. 1 blocks
For the first two criteria Super Mario Bros.
Nin10doland is just doing this to feed his nostalgia 😂
Don't worry guys, we will get new game styles if we wait 18365816493910936581 years for Mario Multiverse to release.
Side note: If you live in Japan, SMB2 Mario is called "Doki" or whoever those guys were
Yume Kojo: Doki Doki Panic is what I think you mean to say...?
@@RTB-x2f Yeah
Actually, the Mario version of that game was released as “Super Mario USA” in Japan.
Nah I need Hotel Mario
Mario 64 was the first thing i ever thought about
this is THE MOST UNDERRATED nintendo youtuber EVER!!!!
In mario maker 3 there should be special coins, like in geometry dash where if you find like a secret room with one instead of giving 1ups or 50 coins there's a special coin that can be collected for special things like, buying new accessories, ect.
think of the amazing new levels to come from this feature, such as "FREE SPECIAL COINS" and "SPECIAL COIN GIVEAWAY"
@@ionrubyyy yeah, take it from robtop's book, you'll have to get your level verified, lol.
Yoshi’s island instantly became my most requested style when they announced the 3D world style.
What new game styles?
Can we talk about the possibilities a Mario is Missing style for Mario Maker could have? We already push the limits of making quiz levels with spot the difference levels, or guess whose the fastest or math through symbol levels..... and I for one am always wanting to push my ability to write an actual narrative into my levels through the limits of what parts I have available, and giving the course a descriptive title that tells you how to look at.
But if we could type up our own trivia questions, and set up a long running quest to find Mario, Carmen Sandiego style, there's a lot more room to add narrative there.
they should add a mario land style and just add a wario mushroom that turns you into wario
newer super Mario bros wii should be added to Mario maker 3
Instead of nsmb DS, they could use the nsmbu game style but combine it with nsmb DS, nsmb Wii and nsmb2
no
I was saying YES YES YES! once i heard you say mario wonder
as soon as i get my hands on this i'm checking out the course world
I think you are missing the Mario All Stars Styles, they look great on SNES and maybe they should be implemented as alternative styles to SMB1, 2 and 3.
Also, I would add grabbable items from SMB2 to the other styles, SMB3 on the GBA added some new stages with the e-reader that mixed different elements from the other mario games that work pretty well together.
Nintendo should try to put the Lost Levels in there.
Yes
Great video man! Would love to see something SUPER unique for Super Mario Maker 3.
FIRST OF ALL WE NEED SMB1-3 IN ALL-STARS STYLE
ok important question
if they made kirby maker, which will be the games styles?
i think they could be
-kirby's adventure
-kirby super star
-kirby and the amazing mirror
-kirby star allies
and for the extra one would be
kirby and the forgotten land
Mario Wonder rockin the DS Thwomps I see
I wonder if nintendo is watching this.
if nintendo added super mario land 1 over super mario land 2 i would be so fucking pissed
Aye, profanity… WHO WANTS TO HEAR IT? NOBODY!
Game styles: 2D games
Extra Game styles:3D games
Imo, the most likely additions are:
Regular styles:
- New Super Mario Bros
- All Stars version of either Bros or Bros 3
Bonus styles:
- Super Mario Bros 2
....either.
- Super Mario Wonder. It could work as a regular style simply by its unique appearance, but because of just how many new enemies and mechanics were added in wonder, could function as a Bonus Style as well where most of these mechanics are implemented
Here's my ranking of many Super Mario games by likelihood of being in SMM3 (besides the ones that are in SMM2):
23: Wario Land- Not really a Mario game, different characters, etc.
Man you are a critic I hate you!
OK but what if we combined the existing world themes to make new ones? That would be an amazing selling point for a new Mario Maker.
How about captain toad?
The only reason they didn't have a Maker Mode in Mario Vs. Donkey Kong remake was because the original game also didn't have one. So it makes sense why. It was the sequels that got the Level Maker addition.
YES to Wario Land 3! One of my favorite games of all time
Mine too!
Paper Mario style could also be unique in how you have hp instead of whatever tier of power up. Maybe even allow creators to set your hp and atk stats for the level. Could be interesting.
They should add shy guy in Mario maker 3
Sadly I don't have Mario maker but I am still giving U a sub
You are basically describing Mario Multiverse. :)
So basically... this video:
Suggest every remaining Mario game regardless of whether it makes sense or if it woud work 🤦🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
It would be really cool if they add a feature that you make a sprite and you give it a command for example you make a red koopa sprite and you give it the koopa command
I don’t think super Mario land would even be there since there’s already superball flower and SMB2 mushroom
Yoshi island would make it so the yoshi is the color of the person u pick in settings like red for Mario blue for toad
And yellow for Wario. We need more characters.
I wanted sm64 in SMM2 before i saw this
Lol when I think of Mario Galaxy, B L A C K H O L E S .
0:00 to 0:07 sounds like something that plays when you open SMM:A-S
Literally Super Mario Galaxy Maker has been my dream since they announced Mario Maker 2. I hope they will do it with Mario 64 one day too
simpleflips comes 3 steps closer to nintendo HQ every time one of these are uploaded
i personally see a possible smm 3 being one of those gimmic games where they say 3D for a 3D exclusive game with no 2D level things
If they make a new game style for the next super mario maker, then they should better change the ugly sun in Super Mario Bros U style.
If Donkey Kong Country style would've been added.
Nintendo should really think about this It could actually work 😮
Hmmm I think you noticed my Mario maker 3 comments! Anyone want SMM3 for 2024?
ME, I think it will be on switch 2
I agree with all mario Style makers that can be added to the next mario maker game , , Ibwould like to see added is Super Mario 3d Land New Super Mario bros.2 for the 3ds
how to make a black and white level theme: simply change your settings on your nintendo switch so the screen turns gray (ez)
It’s nice to see Mario galaxy in there
I want a video on missing course parts.
My suggestions:
New Super Mario Bros.
New Super Mario Bros. Wii
Yoshi's Island
Wario Land
Wario Land 2
Super Mario Land
Super Mario Land 2
Super Mario 64
Super Mario Wonder
