Oh, that opener 🤦♂️🤣
Also, I have been waiting for a long time to see the insanity that is Earl Leaker finally do burnouts. I can't wait 🤟
Jared, the sheer amount of knowledge you pass on to viewers like me is incredible and I can not thank you enough for the quality content. I hope to one day build and engine swap my own rig and I will be coming back to your videos during the hard times to remind myself that it’s about enjoying what you do.
From my perspective, sitting in the stands at Bristol, you were the best damned driver out there Jared. You keep practicing and I have no doubt you could destroy a drift competition.
And possibly win, as well. 😉
Might have to rename a car to Trash Collector, because James isn’t winning in November!
@@TheQuestionableGarage OooooOooh! REMATCH REMATCH!
only 21 seconds in and i need to pause and comment because it was a great opener
Agreed
Very indeed
I just want to say I think you had an absolutely epic burnout at Bristol! You hit every mark and kept the wheels burning the entire time.. I think you should have gotten a podium for sure
That beginning was awesome. I loved the joke Jared. Also I loved the mega episode. Feel free to do more of this. Lots of love ❤️
Awesome to meet you at Cleetus and Cars, sir! You did a spectacular burnout Saturday night!
Jared I gotta say. Watching the PPV the other night I could not BELIEVE how killer your performance in that little E30 was! Used the whole pad like a mad man! You have some serious hands, keep it up!
::::SPOILER ALERT::::Jared it was so great meeting you Saturday! My wife was amazed at how down to earth you are and she was wishing you had a merch booth so we got swag off the website! I think the BMW did one heck of a burnout show and for a fill in drift car deserved a higher score!! Hopefully we will see you and Earl @ the Freedom Factory in November thanks for all the awesome content
Spoiler alert
earl didnt get finished?
@@cory45x of course it didn't , look at how much he has to do in a week .... he couldn't do all that with 3 people working 15 hour days... there's absolutely zero chance one person gets that all done in a week
I feel like he was by far one of the top runners not if the winner in my opinion he had a clean run
@@Hard_Right Jared is a more than capable mechanic. I'd say it was possible to finish
It was so great meeting you Saturday and Sunday Jared! Wish you had a booth to buy some shirts! You where down to earth man, wish we had time to stop and chat with you some more, definitely wanted to pick your brain
Jared you just jumped in with both feet. Who doesn't love a big block bravo sir. 👏 Keep grinding man I love the content.
You definitely need to use a trans mount for the back of your trans. I know it from first hand experience. Don't listen to other wannabe knuckleheads. You will definitely break your trans if you don't bolt up the rear trans mount. I broke mine because I listened to other people and I didn't bolt it together. I have the same setup front and mid plates.
I never heard of not using a mount. I've heard not to use a solid mount.
In my experience you definitely need a mount and to not make it too rigid we use a stock rubber isolator and have never had a problem. But I would never let a cast transmission just hang without some support because worst case scenario and the flex plate let’s go smashes the bell housing and what a mess. And the trans is laying on the road.
Talked to me Friday when you just got to Bristol then me and my son talked to you again after show Saturday when you parked the BMW. Jared is a super nice guy!👌👍🤘
I can't believe all the work your doing single handed. Good luck
your knowlede of motors baffles me! love watching thanks for shareing
You're an absolute machine, Mr. Pink!
I'm loving this series Jared - can't wait to see how it all comes together!
Awesome to meet you Sunday, you did great in the burnout competition. Thank you for the signature and picture.
Nice to meet you this weekend!
My man here has been absolutely crushing it here lately! Keep up the good work in letting us be a part of things we wish we had $ to build. You rock brother
7am here and I'm just finishing work, wrench everyday brother 👍🏼
Love the naked gun clip at the beginning, love those movies! 😆
one of my favorite channels. love that you and Derek doing vids together but I just don't understand why you dont have more subscribers. top tier content. keep on being a good person and the viewership will follow.
That opening was worth everything you had to go through with Earl so far, the rest is just lots of icing on an extra thicc cake... which i just realized could also be taken in a weird way.
I'm with the camp that wins the argument!
You did amazing in Bristol! You were definitely a contender!
For your transmission, how about a crossbar underneath it with some rubber nubbies for the transmission to rest on. That way it has a little wiggle room to shimmy and shake all it likes, but doesn't add any additonal stress to the transmission casing?
1:10 by the miracle of -editing- Duane
You’re too kind AR. Thanks! -Duane the Editor
Having seen your burnout, mate you killed it out there,a top effort indeed, just mad, love the channel and keep it up mate cheers 🇦🇺🍻🍻
Jared that opening line was seriously unacceptable. I like u as a human and you're channel so please family friendly. You are a grown man. Godspeed.
I haven't seen your burnout yet.....but I see all the comments...... Sounds Epic!!!
You did very well at Burnout Rivals!
If you want to have fun with that engine after you're done with the burnout competitions, put it in a tube frame Vega or Monza roller! 😁
Duane rhe editor crushing it with that intro.
All part of a day’s work :) -Duane the Editor
@@decaharms need some "Blazing Saddles" worked in some time......unless thats a big no-no with RUclips.
0:12 you saw the opportunity and you took it. Brilliant.
THAT OPENING!!!
It's so funny what US guys call 'motor sport', really funny.
Man, you have the motivation of a raging bull! Keep going, Jared.✌🏻
I love those Lamborghini headlights.
I for one thought you should have gotten a better score and most definitely a podium finish. You used the entire pad, kept it off the wall, smoking the tires the hole time and demonstrated great driving skills. Well done I thought, especially since that was the point criteria.
I love your videos Jared. Keep that awesome work up. I try to watch as much as I can
It's like stuffing a hot dog in a mouse ear (or something like that) It's gonna be tight!!!
But one thing is for certain.....those back tires are gonna light up INSTANTLY!!!!
Amazing work Jared 😲🤘🏽🔥
nice work! not easy what youre doing! super stoked to see more video progress. thanks for filming! keep up the awesome work!!
every thrue man when they saw the beltgrinder in the first min ....... awwwwww
I was eating dinner at the beginning of the vid, 30 seconds later and I'm cleaning dinner off the wall 🤣🤣🤣
Saw the title, expectations were high, 20s in (an out) and Jared delivered.
GG
Having watched the live feed. I know where this goes. Jared..... all I can say is Great job good sir. That should be spoiler free.
You did great in the BMW. I thought You might win. 🤟😎
the suspense is building!
watched from Bryan,TX
When doing something like adjusting the oil pickup. I like to put some waded up tin foil on top of the pickup, set the gasket and pan then remove to check spacing by seeing how the foil crushed.
I'm dead after the opening joke with the scene from naked gun 3. Excellent editing!
I knew we needed this, but I didnt know we *needed* this...I'll send you my z32 TT if you wanna help swap a 8.1L Vortech
It was great meeting you in Bristol! And you did great in the burn out comp! You killed it!
Just a good ol' boys.. Never meanin' no harm..
Was watching PFIs latest video, caught your burnout and HOLY SMOKES that was impressive. New sub here. content looks like itll be a great fit for me. THANKS!
Jared's not used to the BBC, he's only used to a SWC... 🤣🤣🤣
When you used the plasma cutter on the trans tunnel, I was thinking you've got clearance, Clarence.
Old school big block, and a big hammer. Loving this build.
That intro was savage as fuck 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thats a nice fzj80 you got there
Jared.... You are a Mad Lad! I have to say it.. Can't wait to see this beast finished.
Just run reverse headers and push the exhaust out of the lower fender in front of the wheels.
No support is safe, when Questionable Garage is here!
Nice work as always
Always make questionable choices…. when it comes to puns. Hilarious! Thanks for going there.
I was only half paying attention to the intro of the video and I had to rewatch hahahah. Perfect.
Haha,
Just realised after Mike Finnegan put a Japanese motor in Muscle car, Jared is here creating equilibrium in the world
You did awesome in the bmw, great burnout.
Excellent ideas 💡
Best intro ever 😂😂😂😂
You have to turn this thing into a no prep car!
Sounds like the nissan needs the good ol' wheelbarrow tub approach to making the floor
This is ridiculous. I love it.
14:12 that's very clearly not a billet case shield. If I had to guess that's probably ar500 that was annealed, bent, and re-heat treated and tempered.
Go go magic Jared.
I’d love to take a ride in that monster when finished! Nice job for sure. I agree , don’t want to use the trans as a motor mount. But also don’t want it free hanging, the bar to sit it on sounds like the only right answer to me. But I’m sure you’ll figure something out and make it work.
Eh, if you got the means to accommodate more safety/rigidity in your set-up, then I say go for it. Saying that an extra mount isn’t needed is like saying you don’t need to build a roll-cage over-spec. You probably don’t need to do it, but if you do, that’s just added peace of mind.
Never wait till last minutes = but super cool 😎
Really want to see this beast roasting some tire's
So happy Earl, the OG, is finally getting his time back in the limelight!!!
place the brake under the dash and put a z-bar or 2 on it for the brakes
Big catch up 😯 last I saw youd just got the 2jz and body kit for ol earl!
The reason for not hard mounting a transmission with a motor plate is because 3 points form a plane. When the chassis twists those forces will act on the trans unless it's rubber mounted. It'll make the car stuffer....to a point. But it may also break first.
Omg that opener 😂 great job jarred
Great job loved it
Love this channel. Jared I s so wholesome, love that guy!
Can't wait to see if the distributor fits without cutting the windshield. Jared I don't worry about breaking the transmission I'm sure the diff. will give up on the 1st clutch dump.
I guess I have to get some @draftykilt beer now. Dude works miracles while under the kilt.
Man called it a BBC we love Jared
oh you gotta take that car to drag week
Ive always wanted a 300ZX. Seeing this one get cut up kinda hurts... but o well maybe theres one out there that will be mine one day
i can’t take that motor serious with those headers lol
Dont u just love the fact that Dwyane is a or atleast was a massive ravehead?
Hello again Jared
Thank you for another Great Video 👍 Son, I can't imagine the amount of stress you put yourself through. I hope you are having Fun along the way too 😊 Again thank you
damn I absolutely would dare Jared into trying to make a quater mile Dragster, would be interesting because there would some good nuggets of information regarding twisting forces and the importance of suspention setup.
You might be able to get a geo metro break booster work in there they are small that what I used in my nissan hard body on air ride tucking 20s and laying frame
I'm curious to see if the body flex from that much horse power in that Unibody doesn't shatter the T-tops or rack the doors shut without a full cage and body strengthener channels. Excited to see the finished product!
I'm halfway through the video and as someone who stuffed a V8 into a compact car (1973 Vega GT), I am impressed by Jared's "questionable choice"! Not only is he tackling a huge challenge... He IS a huge challenge (Er). Who says only short people are forced to overcome?
I think Don Yenko over in Pennsylvania put V8s into Vegas back in the '70s (along with other insane combinations), so you're in good company!
