Hi, thank you very much for this recipe. I was tired of paying so much for spelt bread, so I am very happy I found your video. I made it and it is absolutely DELICIOUS!!! I am empowered to make my own now.
Wow! There is nothing better then some warm fresh baked bread in a cold winter day! You make this look effortless with your presentation. I appreciate you sharing! I make cooking videos too! I love watching other talented creators to learn from each other! 👍🏻
I read your comment about not liking coconut flour so I’m interested in knowing why it was used at all? Could this recipe be made with spelt and rye only?
I made the bread but i am struggling with the height aka “rise” of the bread so my slices are short and thick 😭 any tips? Great video by the way I’m very pleased
@@brooklynjoelle8444 It will ok depending on the flour. Sift it first to make it a little more fluffy. Mix it until its evenly combined without any clumps
No, I dont use chemicals. I dont use sparkling water anymore either. It doesnt really rise much, I care more about my digestion and cell health than I do about fluffy bread. Its a trade off.
@@DougDennis wow is it wheat ? I'm sorry for asking I've been trying to figure out how to get my bread perfect. I've used the wheat spelt and it taste weird. However I've heard you can use white spelt flower. After doing research white spelt is bleached. I appreciate your prompt response that bread looks good. I was going to purchase and then saw reviews on Amazon made me skeptical
Hello! Hmm... What about rye? Chickpea flour is not ideal for this type of bread, but you can use it to make batter for fritters or Korean pancakes, etc.
@@DougDennis ok that makes sense..I've tried making bread with chickpea flour and couldn't get the correct texture..I will try out the rye flour...thanks
I know this was posted a while ago… I hope Doug sees my question… or someone sees me question….. lol…why is my bread so thick and dense ?? It’s like muffiny… or worse. It has great flavor but it’s like so cakey! :( help!
@@DougDennis omgggg thank you sooo much for replying! Ok I will try sifting it I haven’t done that, I am using Organic Grains brand, it’s the only one I’ve ever used I’m totally knew to this. Which one do you use?
@@DougDennis Have you found a way to get spelt flour to rise like regular wheat bread? I know some people use baking powder, which I've read is alkaline, but you have to add something acidic to make it react...like lemon juice or something...would key lime juice work?

This is great. Can we make this with regular Alkaline water itself (sans sparkling?)
Thanks! Yes, spring water is fine, I havent really found any legit alkaline water thats not in plastic, have you?
@@DougDennis I haven't. But thanks for the info.
My pleasure

Yeah it’s better with just spelt and rye. It was probably used if I had run out of something
I made the bread but i am struggling with the height aka “rise” of the bread so my slices are short and thick 😭 any tips? Great video by the way I’m very pleased
Thanks. The bread doesn't rise very much unless it's fermented, which isn't recommended on this diet. The consistency depends a lot on the flour.
use seamoss for the rise. if you want more info on it follow Dr Sebi he has a few videos on it
Can you give the recipe for the signature sea salt crust
If I remember correctly, its gray celtic sea salt and cayenne
i don’t want to use sparkling water will it still turn out good if i don’t?
and about how long do you mix it in the mixer for?
@@brooklynjoelle8444 It will ok depending on the flour. Sift it first to make it a little more fluffy. Mix it until its evenly combined without any clumps
Why not?
Have you ever made rye bread?
Yes. And the rye bread at the store is mostly wheat and a little rye, so in that way, this would be rye bread.
@@DougDennis yummmm. I think I will make this today.
How can i make this without a mixer?
You can mix it with your hands or a wooden spoon
No baking powder? Why sparking spring water? How will the bread raise

I tried this recipe one on one. my spelt flour never swelled like that. my bread is very hard.
Mine too😮
This is bleached spelt ?
No, it’s not bleached

It can be like that. Try sifting the flour first. Also it depends a lot on the quality of the flour. Still better than chemical toxin bread ;)

Is it soft on the inside
Not compared to chemical bread made with yeast... Thanks for watching!

Not on with the agave. Can feel it immediately it hits the kidney, same with Stevia
Yeah I followed the recipe to a T and it didn’t look anything like this lol.
