Hi everyone! Let me know if you have any questions about anything I covered in this video in the comments below! If you want to learn more about how to use SketchUp Pro, you can check out my course at www.theSketchUpEssentials.com/Course !
Just getting back into Sketchup for my architecture business and need to relearn. I taught part-time at the college level for 20 years, including a class on AutoCAD. Your teaching style is perfect for me. I have already learned so much in 2 classes. Thanks!
Liked & Subscribed! thank you for this tutorial. this is the best 3d introduction for me as a dude who only tinkers everything on photoshop. been in youtube trying to figure out a bunch of software and other tutorials etc. but your tutorials are the best and on point and I also want to give credit on how you emphasize on details which other instructors may be lacking such as shortcut keys that would be used most of the time. This helped me a lot in relaying a construction plan for our farmhouse here in the Philippines which is a 7.5m x 12.5m bungalow, show it to an experienced foreman and now the house is on its first month building process. Now that I understand how to use this software, I find it really fun! I can now re-live those days which I love when I took a drafting class 25 years ago using pencils and paper. More Power to your channel!
Thanks for making this video - I like most people ( I think) am self taught and i have been using SU for years. I now know why my models end up in a nasty mess.
Hi, I can't seem to find the Flip tool. Is it specific to a particular SketchUp version? I'm currently using SketchUp Pro 2022. What I did instead is right click on the object and click Flip Along
hello! thank you for these tutorials. But I have little problem - when I try to draw a square, rectangle always comes up, and even though I type the square dimensions in, the diagonal from the first point sets on the cursor level. Maybe I've got settings broken?
I know, it was difficult to frame that question correctly.. but what I meant was clicking control and pulling is not working.. but I found out on Mac it's click option instead and that gives a new face..
are you using a Mac? there is no default tray feature on Mac unfortunately. The only way I see getting a default tray on Mac is stack these panels to the right of your screen in the same way that you would see it naturally in the default tray on Windows.

How did you manage to get new face for cylinders using control key?
I don't understand the question - I tapped the control key with push pull active
I know, it was difficult to frame that question correctly.. but what I meant was clicking control and pulling is not working.. but I found out on Mac it's click option instead and that gives a new face..
